We had a very enjoyable stay as an extended family of 14. The house was not overly clean or pristine, but the location and vibe was perfect for a large family stay. Beds and furniture were old, but got the job done for a fun beach week! The AC was a huge plus. The listing may have stated this, but make sure you bring toilet paper/paper towels/ dish and hand soap etc… because none was at the house. It also helped that we brought some of our own kitchen items. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to a friend for a classic large family home in a great location. The landlord was very communicative and check in and out was simple. They even left us some great neighborhood recommendations.

My wife and I have been renting homes on Cape Cod as an opportunity for our family to spend time together for over 20 years. As our family has grown over that time, the challenge to find a home which could truly meet the needs of a group that now spans the ages from 72 to 8 weeks. It was our good fortune to find the Cancian Family home as it truly met all our family’s needs. The accommodations were spacious and comfortable and Maria and Alisa were a pleasure to deal with. The house itself oozed character and offered an array of interesting nooks and crannies to spend time together in. We loved the interesting bathroom beneath the staircase which our grandchildren found reminiscent of Harry Potter’s Privet Drive living quarters! The house was well equipped for virtually any desired activity and the spacious yard lent itself to activities for adults and children alike to share in. The location in a quiet neighborhood was ideal to provide a respite from the congestion and hubbub that can be found in Hyannis, while still providing easy access for all the best the town has to offer. The numerous beaches within a 2-3 mile distance from the house provided easy access to surprisingly uncrowded ocean fun for all ages. We loved the bits of historical information the family shared about their beloved home, and would welcome the opportunity to return for another family gathering!

Our family had a great stay at this rambling comfortable home on a pretty street in Hyannis Port. The back yard was fantastic for tossing a football or frisbee or relaxing on a chaises lounge. The porches were also terrific. The house needs some updating as I understand from the owner is planned in the fall.

Although this property isn't as close to downtown as we would have liked, the size made up for the location. There was always a nook or cranny for getting away from the crowd. There is no off-street parking which mean we had to go around the "block" every time we went somewhere. A small beach is within walking distance--a rental property beach cart would have made us more likely to use it. However, there are several beaches within short driving distance and two beach passes are provided. Even though it is an older property, it had everything we needed. The landlord's personal treasures around the house made for interesting conversation.

Lovely property with everything you need and perfectly situated in Hyannis port. Loved the many hang out locations the house offered both inside and out. Also the AC on both floors was key on this hot humid week post hurricane. Would definitely go back.

My family had an amazing week at the Cape. The house was perfect with plenty of space and the yard was perfect for kids to play in. The neighborhood offered opportunities for walks and the nearby beaches were a welcome escape. We highly recommend the property and would love to return again.

The house is an old, very large beach cottage. It is charming and has not been changed or modernized much - which is what we love. The location is beautiful. The AC on both floors was nice to have during the humid days but the weather was fine and not too hot. We loved the back yard for the children to play.
We would love to stay again.

House was perfect for a family reunion - 2 families with young kids plus grandparents. Easy walk to one beach with several others within a 5 min drive (Kalmus and Craigville were our favorites). HUGE backyard was great for playing with the kids and AC (on both floors) was a lifesaver given the record setting heat. As others mentioned, this is an old house but it is by no means run down and it is well equipped with everything.

A wonderful, enjoyable week at this home celebrating the matriarch and patriarch's 50th anniversary with their four children and spouses and six grandchildren. Everyone fit easily into the 6 bedrooms. New AC on the first floor, but we never used it because the weather was so good. It'll be even better when they install AC on the second floor which I understand is forthcoming. Easy, short walk to Eugenia Fortes beach; easy, longer walk or short drive to Ocean Ave and Keyes Memorial beaches or short drive to Craigsville beach. The house comes with one parking pass, so we visited them all. The back yard is expansive and flat and the kids ran around to their heart's content. The house was large, so the 15 of us never felt on top of each other. The neighborhood is gorgeous, but be prepared to hear the chatter from the neighboring yards. It wasn't a bother to us, though. The pictures depict the property well. The owners were great at communicating via email both before and during the rental to ensure everything was going well. Definitely a great value for that Hyannis Port location.

We loved the house and while it's definitely older my friends and I found it super charming. We had so much fun hanging out on the big beautiful porch and hanging out in the massive yard. Perfectly located in Hyannis near a bunch of beautiful beaches and the Main st area. Owners were incredibly responsive and helpful!

The weather wasn't to great but the house and big back yard more than made up for it. We all had a blast playing kick ball and wiffle ball in the back yard and had many laughs and great talks on the back porch. At one point we had fourteen people at the house and it didn't feel at all crowded. In shot, the house was perfect with a lot of room but a cozy, homey feel! For me personally, the house reminded me of my younger days visiting my grandmother's house in Little Compton, RI. It brought back many good memories. Thank you for making your wonderful home available.

A bunch of adult women got together for a long weekend at this wonderful beach house. Great for communal cooking and dining. Enclosed yard. Easy to rent bikes and bike the trail to the beach. Next to a great walk on the causeway. Close to the ferry to MV. Best for hanging out in this rambling comfortable place. Great sleeping!

This is a great house for a family gathering or a reunion with friends. The house is a classic rambling and comfortable Cape summer cottage with numerous spaces for gathering, inside and out, including an eat-in kitchen, covered porch, and a large and lovely back yard which is perfect for games. The house is located on a quiet corner within the Hyannis Port Civic Association and is walking distance to a public beach and a short drive to restaurants, shops, and the Nantucket ferry in nearby Hyannis. A great base for exploring the Cape.

Large, stately, comfortable. Worked well for our family reunion. No AC but fans and breezes were fine.

We had a great time in this house. There were 12 of us, and plenty of room. The common areas spacious, many the back porch was so relaxing. We had great weather so that was a bonus. It's a sweet town to stroll too.,
