Our apartments also feature solid-wood beds, premium bedding, and furnishings and original art with a contemporary and West Texas flair.
Fronteriza is a studio apartment with a combination living/dining/kitchen, a separate bedroom with a queen-sized bed, area to hang clothing, and an externally vented gas fireplace, a large full bath with accessible features including a roll-in shower with drop-down seating and hand shower fixtures and accessible sink. In addition, glass block windows provide natural light. The apartment dining area has seating for four, a full-sized refrigerator, dishwasher, two-burner electric cooktop, microwave, bake oven, coffeemaker, and sink. A blue tooth speaker allows guests to stream their own music selections.
Fronteriza guests also have access to our unique common spaces: the second floor balcony, with comfortable seating and a view of central Marfa; our rear atrium, which features banquette seating, a fire pit, and a large screen TV; and our front gallery, with comfortable leather sofas and a gas fireplace. Well-maintained property in a great location
Very clean, well-outfitted unit in a historic boarding house right in the middle of town. Very cute common areas as well - I made good use of the balcony for reading in the afternoons. Everything went smoothly. Location was great, too - I was able to do everything in town on foot, plus plenty of opportunity to walk around and take pictures. Great stay!

Heart of Marfa
Loved the cozy apartment type accommodations that gave you privacy. Also, enjoyed the inviting common spaces such as the gallery with comfortable seating. My favorite space was the upstairs covered balcony that had amazing breezes. Enjoyed watching the happenings of the community from above. Anne is a lovely hospitable host for this charming dwelling. I would love to stay longer next time.

Hidden Gem
I decided to do a Vrbo search after not being terribly impressed by the places I was told I "must stay" when visiting Marfa. I loved that it was in walking distance of just about anything and everything you'd want to see and do within the town square, as well as the fact that the house itself is a piece of history. Once I was there, it truly felt like home. The apartment was very clean with a great heating and cooling system, and just about anything you'd want in a home away from home, such as major appliances. Anne, the on-site manager, was easy to contact, and was very friendly, as well as very accommodating. There are lots of great sitting areas with TV and fireplaces that are super homey, and the wifi works great! I hope to come back to Marfa sooner rather than later, and when I do, I want to stay at Marfa House.

Great spot in the center of this small town. Rooms are a but funky, but I liked that. Only tv is on the screened porch which was very cold during my visit. Didn’t plan to watch tv, but if you do it could be a factor.

All I generally need from a hotel room is a good shower, adequate temperature control, and a comfortable bed. It is really nice when a place is magnificent on all of those accounts.
Over and above that:
- The gas heaters with the visible flame were a wonderful touch.
- The furnishings and kitchen were beautiful.
- The attached balcony let us relax in the open air.
- The common room is full of interesting artifacts and art.
- It was fun talking to Anne about her studio and the history of the place.
Highest marks, well recommended!
