The third level great room is painted in cool neutral gray with a few pops of coastal blues and greens with black accent pieces. It's a dramatic look that will capture your imagination. Tall ceilings provide an open and airy feel to the generous great room. The living area features a sofa with a built-in chaise and two wonderfully eclectic chairs, and the Pack n' Play included in the property mean that visitors of any age can relax in style! These items center around the flat-screen TV with cable, which invites the group to sit down together for a favorite TV show or movie. Or perhaps just a lively conversation. There are new memories to be made!
Sliding glass doors off the living area lead to a cozy balcony with comfortable Adirondack chairs and a small table. It's a lovely spot to savor your morning coffee as the cool breeze washes over you and you watch the Outer Banks wake up to another glorious day.
All the chefs in the group will be competing to claim the gorgeous kitchen! Plentiful dark wood cabinets, granite counter-tops and a huge center island with seating for 3 with recessed and dramatic pendant lighting make this every chef's fantasy. So, hey, let the chefs compete and the rest of you can be the judges - it's a win-win for everyone!
The family can enjoy those culinary masterpieces together as a group at the large wood dining table, with comfortable padded seating for 10. Another entrance to the private balcony is just through convenient sliding doors. Leave them open for an al fresco dining experience. A generous King En Suite completes this level. You will love the spa-like En Suite bathroom, with white subway tile shower and double vanities.
There is more fun to be had on each floor of this spacious 5-bedroom Outer Banks vacation property! This second level features a recreation room with both a pool table and shuffleboard table. Hours of friendly competition and a few adult beverages will surely happen here. Another deck with two Adirondack chairs also graces this floor. Enjoy that sultry evening Outer Banks air in between games of pool. Two King En Suites on this level (one convertible to two twins) offer wonderful privacy.
The first level of your Sand Castle Village vacation home offers even more fun and excitement with a comfortable den. Don't be surprised if the kids in the group lay claim to this space! A mini-kitchen with full-refrigerator is the perfect spot for all their drinks and snacks. Watch them get comfortable on the sofa with a built-in chaise lounge and hook up their game consoles (not included with rental) on the TV. The older kids may even post a few vacation pics to make their friends back home jealous. They can even claim the bedrooms on this level. One has two sets of bunk beds and the other features two double beds. These two bedrooms share a full hall bath. The best part of this ground floor? Its closest to the POOL!
That's right! A private 12x25 inground pool is yours with this vacation rental! Work on your tan on one of the comfy sun loungers. What better way is there to enjoy your Outer Banks vacation than floating around in the cool, refreshing water of your own inground pool and soaking up the rays? We can't think of one! Overall we had a great time! The floor plan worked out perfect for our family. The pool, the pool table, and the shuffle board table was a huge plus especially for the rainy days. Convenient to the grocery store and restaurants. Close enough to walk to the beach access. The house could have been cleaner, the outdoor area needs cleaned up. The bed in the Master was very loud and very uncomfortable. One of the bathrooms wasn’t clean upon arrival, there were dead bugs on the window ledges, we found a cockroach on the third floor, and one of the kids had spider bites from the bunk room. The outdoor area had poison ivy coming through the fence, weeds and pine needles in areas. Also, the gas tank with the grill was practically empty.

For the most part enjoyed our stay, but when we arrived the house was poorly cleaned, the back patio had used cigarettes/cigars/vape cartridges scattered around as well as a number of exposed screws coming out of the fence/outdoor shower area. A lot of hazards to have around our young kids led to a concerning start. There were blood stains on bed liners and pillow cases. Many of the soap/shampoo dispensers were empty. Kees was accessible but not very responsive given the amount of issues we had. They sent a maintenance guy the following day and we had to wait around the house all day for housekeeping to come because they couldn’t give us an ETA. Overall ok property but it is clearly poorly maintained by Kees. Do your homework before booking through Kees.

We enjoyed our early summer vacation!

The house needs updating, echoing a previous reviewer. Our major concern was the abundance of dead water bugs (cockroaches) and spiders, highlighting inadequate cleanliness. Water bugs are prevalent in North Carolina, causing discomfort for those unfamiliar with them. Around 4:30 pm, we contacted maintenance, uncertain if help would come due to the late hour and office closing at 5 pm. Taking matters into our own hands, we meticulously cleaned, surprised when a cleaner arrived. They cleaned the master room and living area, finding another water bug. After this, we could enjoy our vacation. The location was convenient, close to stores and an Outback Steakhouse, though the food quality disappointed. The pool was well-maintained, but the grill needed cleaning. Presuming routine pest control, we recommend a pre-check-in inspection for future guests. Had we not encountered the distressing sight of dead bugs, we would have seriously considered booking this place again. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our time at OBX!

This home is beautiful and the neighborhood is just right for a family with teens. However, the property is poorly maintained. We found the home in poor condition. Cigarette butts throughout the property, stains throughout the walls of the home, mold on bathroom tile in master bathroom, used coffe filters still in coffee machine, crumbs and hair on the floor, and weeds and garbage near pool. Management did not get back to me right away wit my concerns. Very disappointing but we still made the best of it. Hope they get their act together with maintaining this beautiful home.

Overall, nice property. You can't see the beach, but you can smell it; nice to sit on the balcony in the morning and drink your coffee. I only rated my check in process as a 3 because I had some issues on arrival, but once it was sorted out, it was smooth. Would stay again!

Upon checkin there was garbage all over the house, dirty linens in every room, and blood on mattress covers. The pool was green and the bottom was covered in dirt. The sides of the yard had garbage all over and cigarette buds.

We had a great time at this property. It was a convenient location, close to the beach and to the grocery store. The whole family had fun, especially with the pool table and the pool outside. I would stay here again.

Wine Down
We had an excellent vacation at this property. The pool was clean and the interior of the property was spotless. Outside of the fencing and near the garbage pickup there was garbage left over by previous tenants. Sometimes a smell would waft over from the water treatment facility nearby but that only happened twice. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect and there is a food lion and other shopping within walking distance.

Convenient location & not too far from public beach access
The house was right next to a sewage facility. There was a terrible odor on a couple of days while we were outside at the pool. Also, the house could have been cleaned better (especially the floors and toilets). The washing machine had mold in the detergent dispenser & the dryer needs to be repaired - extremely loud sound when using it. However, it was nice to be able to walk right next door to a shopping center with a grocery store, and restaurants.

Overall enjoyed stay.
Home was clean and presented larger than the picture. The layout was good for a group of 10, (2 families of 4 and a couple). Was close enough to the beach and a grocery store was a short walk away. Two complaints; pool was dirty and the dryer is very noisy; needs to be repaired. No response to these complaints after telling the house keeper and making a call.

I love it
The property was very nice and comfortable my family enjoyed themselves. We were close to stores and the outlet. We would consider coming back. The pool was great also.

The house was nice. The pool was a great add but disappointed that when we got there, you could visible tell the home was not thoroughly cleaned. There was a broken beer bottle outside with a huge gallon thing filled with something yellow, hair pins in the ground, potatoes chips. There was an empty pop tarts box and an empty beer bottle underneath the bunk beds room. You could tell the house was not vacuumed. We called KEES to let them know, they said they created a work order and someone would come next day. That never happened. I ended up vacuuming the home. Disappointed to say the least in the “cleanliness” of the home and the fact that no one came, but other than that it was a nice home and we built great memories vacationing in Outer Banks.
