It was great but listing needs more
There was a complete misunderstanding about the houses. The listing doesn’t say upstairs or downstairs so we were in the wrong part of the house and the second building wasn’t one of the places to stay in so someone had to leave for no reason for the miscommunication cause we had the wrong part of the house. There needs to be more in the listing stating upstairs and down stairs. We got the place for 8 and the bedrooms couldn’t sleep 8 without guys doubling up in beds. It wasn’t intentional to be on both floors but wasn’t happy how it wasn’t stated. Both floors were unlocked. We all just thought it was house one and house two not two separate units. I belive that needs to be specified in the add so no one in the future gets confused with that and with the conjoined hallway entrance doesn’t separate anyone with COVID. Other than that the place was great and was really well kept up. Good view of the ocean. But the parking is highly limited for anyone driving anything larger than a suv. If it’s trucks there is no room. The second house behind it made it seem like it was house one and house two. Not someone else’s. But overall great place. And close enough for attractions stores etc all within 15-20 minutes.

Perfect Escape
The Pioneer cottage is a fantastic CT getaway. The upper unit apartment was exactly as described and very comfortable for our family of 4. Our youngest (9) loved the sleeping loft. The beach in front of the house was easy to access and quiet. The booking process was super simple, and The property owner Jim was easy to communicate with and very responsive. Would definetly return!

Easter weekend
The unit is absolutely beautiful. Plenty of room for my family. I had my grown kids and grandbabies for a long Easter weekend. There was plenty of room for us all. 5 adults and 3 kids. The owners were amazing accomidating and friendly. They actually left a few Easter baskets, books and toys for the kids. Also a complementary bottle of wine. The unit was super clean. We all agreed this is a do over vacation spot for us.

Quiet location, view of the ocean and sound of the waves
Overall, the location is beautiful. Enjoyed a nice view of the beach even though the houses are very close together. We admired the cute beach houses on the street and walked down the beach, although that was difficult since you have to climb over the jetties. We stayed in the top apartment which was decorated nicely and had many beds. You need to bring your own linens and towels though (which wasn't clear). Owner was kind enough to lend us bed linens since we had flown in just for the weekend. The loft was popular with my daughter. Didn't use the kitchen but it seemed to have everything you would need. The walls are a little thin so you can hear downstairs noises. I appreciated the owner letting us stay later than check out time since our flight was late. Would have liked travel soap in the bathroom and floor mat in the bathroom. Overall, nice spot, remote but relaxing and accommodating owner.
