Our family spent 4 nights recently at this apartment as we toured the historical sights of Athens.
First, if you are looking for a location in the city for easy access to the historical sights, great shopping in Plaka and a plethora of cafes, bakeries and restaurants this location will be a good choice for you. It was hot in Athens but yet we walked 90% of the time, if you wanted you could easier use Uber or Taxi from this apartment or for longer walks to places like the Acropolis (1 mile) or Museum you can use the metro very easily but we walked as we love walking the cities.
Space, the apartment has two floors, the main living area on the 4th floor has a nice sitting room, kitchen, bath, bedroom and a balcony. The balcony does a view of the Acropolis. The kitchen has whatever you may need. The AC worked well both on the 4th and 3rd floor of the apartment. This was very important as it was very hot in Athens.
The 3rd floor had a large bedroom, large closet and bath along with a smaller room and full bath along with a sitting room, this worked perfect for our family of 5. There is also a 4th bed which is a roll away bed stored in the large closet.
Panos, the host was great, he messaged me as the trip approached with the instructions and did so via What's App so he was easily reachable if anything should come up.
If we go back to Athens, we would definitely stay here again.

Amazing location and east walking distance to restaurants, bars and the Acropolis. The house had plenty of room for 4 adults and two teenagers. Balcony was great for the evening and view. Washer and dryer so you don’t have to take dirty clothes home.

We stayed here on our way back through Rome. We wanted to hit the Colosseum and this property definitely makes that easy....it is right down the street a couple blocks. Fun neighborhood....even has a grocery store a couple blocks away. We would definitely stay here again.

This penthouse apartment was perfectly located for our family of 5 (myself and husband, daughter and her two teenage sons) walking around Athens to see the many sights. The rooftop patio overlooking Acropolis was amazing. There really is not a fourth bedroom. One of our grandsons was happy to bunk on the living room couch.

I will start with the positive. This place was in a great location. You can easily walk to the Acropolis and other ruins. However, the descriptions of this apartment are false. I don’t even know where to begin. I do not believe the building is safe. There is cracking in the walls and it felt like there was movement of the building. It does not look like this anymore. It is not 4 bedrooms, they count a bed in a hallway as a bedroom. The bathrooms are run down. One bathroom is missing half of the glass door, and the other only has a hand held shower handle. You have to crouch down to shower. The entire apartment has a moldy smell. The smell was hard to deal with, and every time we came home I wanted to cry. I felt so bad subjecting my family to this, but we had already paid in full. The view of the Acropolis is quite obstructed by electric wires and antennas. We took a blanket of a closet to put on the bed and there was so much dirt in the blanket that we had to sweep it up. The apartment was not very clean, especially the kitchen. I could go on and on. It ruined our time in Athens.

The apartment which occupies both the third and fourth levels was very spacious and wonderfully positioned for visiting all the main archaeological sites as well as the vibrant restaurant and shopping areas. It was also very novel in that the lift up to the apartment on both the third and fourth floors opened directly in the apartment rather than the staircase. This was very convenient when moving heavy cases and shopping.

This apartment is spacious and so lovely. The view of the Parthenon is stunning! It is safe and in walking distance of restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. It was perfect for the five of us. Much thanks to our host.

Lovely apartment with a good view of the acropolis by night over the roof tops but it did not have the three bedrooms stated in the description. There are only two private bedrooms with the other 2 sleeping spaces, one upstairs in the living area and the other "bedroom" is effectively a corridor between the second bedroom and the staircase.
The description also indicates there are three bathrooms, when in reality there is one full bathroom (very nice), one small cramped bathroom which you share with a washing machine and the third is just a toilet.
Overall, we really liked the apartment, which was well equipped, great location and with great views but we only awarded 3 stars because of the misleading description which meant our teenage daughter had no privacy during our stay.

We had a wonderful visit in Athens and this Apartment was a high lite. At ages 65 to 82 we really enjoyed the elevator and used it often. This place is in the heart of every thing and the local dining is to die for . The view of the Acropolis at night is a once in a life time experience. Special thanks to Pano's Mother who so kindly assisted us.Top rates for this excellent rental.

The apartment was large, modern and attractive. There was plenty of comfortable seating (unusual for self catering accommodation) and the beds were also fine. It was in a quiet residential location, within easy walking distance of most archaeological sites, the Metro, food shops and restaurants.
There was a great view of the Acropolis from the terrace, especially at night.
However, the fact that the only fully-equipped shower (there was no bath) was in the en-suite bathroom attached to one of the bedrooms was inconvenient for us, and would have been impossible had our party (one couple and one single) been larger.
Anybody wanting to do much cooking could have problems, as the kitchen was poorly equipped even by self catering standards (no toaster, for example).
Please note that there are only two bedrooms, not as stated. This was what we wanted, but again a larger group might have privacy problems.
We suggest that the owner puts a banister or rail on the small staircase between the floors, as they are a little slippery and awkward.
These faults are the reason we have not awarded five stars. Nevertheless, we liked the apartment and enjoyed staying in it. We would certainly stay there again if we visited Athens in the future.

Good location close to the Acropolis and Thission metro station. Location details on the Homeaway website rather lacking but easy to contact Panos to get directions. The apartment is very well equipped and has two main bedrooms with a double bed in each and widespread air conditioning if needed. There are several interconnecting rooms - one where you could use a pull out bed. Two bathrooms and another WC room. The kitchen has a good fridge freezer and everything you would need. A small balcony gets the morning sun and has a view of the Acropolis over the rooftops. There is a bakery 50 metres away and a supermarket probably about 300-400 metres. Only one set of keys but there is an intercom at the entry door. Many tourist restaurants on the acropolis path but also some local off the beaten track options as well. We had a taxi back to the airport at 4am with Christos and it all worked on time. Would we stay here again - yes

Clean property in a great location. Air conditioning worked great and the view is spectacular. Restaurants and bars are nearby and the Acropolis and Plaka are within walking distance. It is a little pricey but worth it.

We had a great 3 days stay in this beautiful apartment. The location is perfect and it has everything you need. Great view to Acropolis, and outside you find restaurants and bars. Train, metro, monastiraki and plaka within walking distance. The woman who gave us the key was very friendly and show us all around the apartment and explained how it works. The beds are very good to sleep in, and what someone else in here wrote about bedbugs is not true. We didn't see any bedbugs. Thanks Panos for a great stay in your apartment, Willy from Norway

This property has bedbugs. We were forced to leave in the first night. The manager is childish, angry and utterly unhelpful.
The red flags began before we arrived. We had previously inquired about how to best get to the apartment. The reply: "A taxi." No worries. We grabbed an Uber after our flight arrived. 15 minutes into our drive to the apartment, I received a very angry phonecall from the manager's buddy they had sent to pick us up, asking where we were. I apologized and let him know we hadn't been informed that anyone would be sent, though that didn't stop his meltdown. When we arrived at the apartment, the woman who met us started yelling at our Uber driver. It was extremely awkward, and we should have just left right then.
Exhausted from the long flight, we quickly settled in. My fiancee woke me up an hour later, very distraught from finding a bedbug crawling near her in the bed. She killed it with a a piece of toilet paper, and it released a good bit of our blood! Despite our exhaustion, we sprung up, moved our luggage away from all softgoods, and sealed it shut to prevent hitchhikers. After a bit of frenzied internet research, including positively identifying the killed bedbug, we learned that bedbugs are extremely difficult to remove from a property. We knew we couldn't stay, because there was nothing that could be done short of fumigating the entire place. Not wanting to leave the property unsecured, I reached out to the manager several times asking him to collect the keys so we could depart. After he tried to stonewall and downplay our concerns several times, I got him to tell me where to leave the keys, and we quickly departed for a hotel.
The next day the angry messages from the property manager started flowing in. He claims to have sent an "expert" to the property and he found no issues, despite our leaving the carcass of the smashed bedbug on the bathroom counter for their inspection. He called us outright liars, and even claimed that the images we took of the bedbugs were not from his property! He also berated us for failing to take the taxi he sent, complaining about how he had to pay for it. We would have gladly used it had we known it was being sent!
According to the manager, we flew all the way to Greece just to intentionally snub his taxi ride and make up a story about bedbugs in his apartment. How fanciful. Terrible experience and then berated for it. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere in Athens.

The description says "4 BR" (I thought it meant "bedroom"?!) and "comfortably sleeps 8" - neither is true! We were 6, including only one couple: An extra bed (besides the king- and queensize beds in the 2 (two) bedrooms) were installed upon our request, and personally I had the sofa-bed in what was described as "the spacious hall" - in fact, we had to move the sofa in order to pull out the bedding inside". It was far from comfortable! - Apart from that (!), the apartment was nice enough, the 4th floor veranda was great with a view to (but hardly "overlooking") the Akropolis. I will definitely recommend the flat for the location, cleanliness - but for maximum 4 persons (preferably couples). Also, the lift takes a max of 3 ...

We stayed here for eight nights recently and was extremely satisfied. Having toured the city all week, it ended up being the ideal location to centralize our activities. The owner communicated well throughout the booking process and was responsive to our needs during our stay. There were a few hiccups during the stay (both the internet and elevator went out-of-service temporarily), but the owners had everything working as normal within a reasonable amount of time. A few lessons learned:
(1) There are actually only TWO separate bedrooms, which isn't a big deal really. The third "bedroom" is more like a foyer with a sofabed adjacent to the other two bedrooms. People sleeping in the other bedrooms downstairs will walk through the foyer to get up to the kitchen. The fourth place to sleep is also the living room.
(2) The elevator is convenient, but getting the code correct to access the top floors can be tricky and frustrating at times. Sometimes it took a few attempts for us to get the top floor button enabled. Once you got the hang of it, it was easier.
(3) They only had one set of keys to get in, but then again we didn't really ask for a second set either. With multiple people in our party, we had to plan logistics around who would have the keys to get back in.
(4) They have a washing machine, but no dryer. This appears to be normal in Europe. We ran the marathon and washed our clothes afterwards, which was great. But we had to hang them dry before leaving the next morning. Again, another minor inconvenience.
(5) Hot water is "on demand" with the electrical panel. You have to hit a button on the panel a few minutes before taking a hot shower. Make sure you ask about this upon arrival, otherwise you may have a cold shower at the beginning of your stay.
I only mention those comments above to help our future tenants. I think as Americans we have slightly different expectations of some things and it would've been nice to know this info up front before arrival. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment was clean, the view was spectacular, and the location was perfect! The owner was responsive and available to our needs as well. I highly recommend taking the tours from Christos whose info is on the coffee table as well using the owner to arrange for airport pickup. Both were extremely helpful. If we decide to return to Athens in the near future, I would definitely look here first.

The apartment is in a great location, close to the thissios metro and the walking streets. The Akropolis view is great, but walking there with little kids can be a challenge.
