We came up for a fishing trip. Was perfect for our quick stay. Had everything we needed. The only thing that may need addressed in the future is the shower head pressure. It was low it didnt bother me really because I dont have any hair, but my wife has long hair and it was difficult to was soap out of it. Other than that id stay again! Thank you!

This was a great space that generally fit our needs. The kitchen was decently supplied, and the layout matched the description. The space was fairly clean, although there was an abundance of spiders and webs, so be sure to keep an eye out. The location was also lovely, and right by the lake, and check-in was very easy!

Nice area. Pretty quiet. Only issue worth discussing is the vrbo fees. Makes it a lot more expensive than it needs to be

Chose this home for attending LifeFest. Location was great. Description says it sleeps six. There were two twin beds and one full. We were four ladies; thank God I brought a blow up mattress so I had a bed in the living room. Home was beautiful and location was perfect.

The house and host were very accommodating. The two bedroom house was clean, comfortable and stocked with all necessary items. The host was easy to reach. WIFI worked well and our granddaughter enjoyed watching Disney Plus.

It’s a nice place!! The location is great the lake is right there wish it had a dock but the neighbors were nice enough to let us use theirs! The bugs were really bad at night thankfully the screened in porch is great!! Over all we had a fantastic time!!!

The house it self was just as advertised. That was fine and worked perfectly for us. Things that did not work for us was the driveway. It is very narrow and the trees are over grown around it. We managed but getting 2 boats in there really took some work. The other thing was the chickens. There are free ranging chickens which hang around the house all day. So anytime you go outside you had to always be very careful and watch your step and there is chicken poop everywhere.

We stayed here for 2 nights in total. Overall it was a good stay and we were glad we came.
The Good:
-Beautiful View with a very nice screened in porch
-True country feel with live chickens roaming the grounds
-Complimentary drinks and snacks
-A very private feel
The Bad:
-Millions and Millions of bugs. Difficult to enter and leave the home without being completely swarmed by what appeared to be some sort seasonal flying insect. This is not an exaggeration.
-Had trouble working the shower the first night. Texted the property manager with no response. I did text back shortly after as we figured out the issue and asked to disregard but a follow up text would have been nice as oppose to nothing.
-Although we paid a cleaning fee, upon entry there were strange hairs on the toilet and bedding smelled old and used. Seemed clean but def not fresh.
Regardless of the cons it really is a beautiful location and if you are going to be in the area I think its worth the experience.

The property was minimally acceptable until we went to take a nap. The sheets on all three beds were either stained or full of someone’s hair. We complained to the property manager, Nic, who said the sheets were clean. We sent pictures to him and asked for a refund as we had to find another place to stay. So far he has refused.
On the other hand if you want to stay at a nice hotel with excellent, friendly staff, the Cambria hotel is where we ended up staying.

Everything was great except the end if the driveway is a bit tricky if you are pulling a trailer behind your vehicle.

Nothing too fancy. Just right for a fishing trip. Beds aren't super comfy and neither is the couch. Just get up and go fishing, you'll be fine.

We went to the Appleton area to visit family and the house was perfect. It was for the most part clean and the Sunrises were magnificent. The location was also perfect.

Wonderful house situated right across from the water! Central to neighboring towns. Very Charming!

Great potential
Our stay was very quiet and beautiful view of the lake. We think it would be very beneficial to put a queen bed in the larger bedroom and two twins in the smaller. Couples usually sleep in a queen or king. Also, the kitchen could use additional cookware and a larger coffee pot. We enjoyed our stay. I think these few changes would help draw other renters.

Loved the location of the house and it fit our needs for a small group of teens.
Enjoyed the backyard and fire pit. Screen porch was nice, only the bedroom had air conditioning but we were still able to keep the house cool on the hot days.

Nice little place, with beautiful chickens!
This was a nice stay! The house was relatively clean. Could use some updated cookware but in all very nice and great view. Note: there is a road between the property and the lake.

Everything worked fine, only plus would be some more-better cooking utensils.

Not the Ritz, But Good Enough
The advertising is spot on. We knew what we were going to get and that's what we got... a little, old house on a lake. Now, that might sound bad, and I don't mean it to. The house is fine, although it could use some exterior cleaning. It is quiet and in a peaceful area even with a fairly busy road out front. It's just...minimalist. But again, no complaints. If you read the ad, and rent the house, you will not be surprised. Would I rent it again? Most likely, yes.

Not right set up for 2 couples
Nice place but the bed set up is weird. We rented with another couple. Not set up for that. One room had double and a twin and other room a twin. Not the right set up.

Peaceful by the Lake
Perfect location for us- less than 20 minutes from EAA and a welcome relief after standing all day at a booth. We were close to restaurants and grocery stores but the owner was kind enough to stock some welcome snacks and drinks for our initial arrival. At the end of a long hot day, we looked forward to getting back to this quiet house with a spectacular view of the lake!

City Seclusion
Very conveniently located. View of the lake was beautiful. Even though you are very close to amenities, (the grocery store and restaurants are less than a mile away) you feel nestled in the country. The house is set away from the street; and you can hear the waves from the lake. Had several interaction with Nick the owner who was very gracious and helpful. Was perfect for our trip.

Nice view but the house needs some work
The view of the lake is quite nice. There is a county road between the front yard and the lake, but the front yard was large and there were not many cars at night. We saw fireflies in the front yard while we sat on the front patio at night. There is a nice set of chairs and a table in the screened in porch. The host left some complimentary chips and drinks and allowed us to check out a few hours later which was nice. There were some definite issues with this rental though. The double bed was incredibly uncomfortable and needs a memory foam added or just a better quality mattress. The twin beds were a little better but not much. The screens were torn at the bottom leaving large gaping holes to allow bugs in. Also the screened in porch is not safe for young children who could easily lean against it and fall through. Some sort of support would make it safer as well as screens that are actually connected to the frame. The inside of the house was not quite as clean as we expected given the pandemic, and there were cobwebs and spiders in most if not all of the rooms. Overall we did not think it was worth the price.

Just about as described - we were comfortable :)
We were comfortable and enjoyed the screened porch very much. The host left a few little 'treats' around that were very thoughtful. We had no complaints at all, but would have to say that traffic noises were certainly noticeable and could be bothersome to some. Some might also be dismayed with cheap, stiff mattresses if they are fussy about such things.

Good short term getaway
It was nice for a three day getaway! Just wish the screened in porch was cleaner and the screens need to be repaired. Contacted Nick after we saw the porch and he came over right away to duct tape them though! Anything you might need was there for your use which was really nice! There was a great gas grill we used a lot!!

Overall very nice
Overall we had a very fun long weekend. We pretty much hung out around the house all weekend in the screened in porch area. That was definitely our favorite spot. Overall the house was clean. Had most things that we needed. The only disappointment was the fire pit in the back. It was so overflowing with ashes dirt and yard debris that we did not make a fire. We were not expecting two homes to be on each side of this rental as close as what they were. But overall was not a big deal.

Nice lake house
Great view of the lake from the big living room window. Property listing was accurate. House was just fine for our short stay. Overall I would recommend the place. Just a few improvements would make the stay even better. The beds are not very comfortable. The house needs a little work...fresh paint, screen repairs on screened in porch, and perhaps a bigger lock box for the key.

Gorgeous setting for an escape.
A huge picture window overlooks a picturesque scene including the lake. The house was cozy and had everything we needed for a weekend get away. The beds weren’t as comfortable as we hoped, but the quality of the location made up for it.

cabin was very well kept up. Everything we needed was there
The view of the lake was great, traffic a little loud though.
We had a wonderful time of relaxing.

Great Getaway
My husband and I were so pleased to get away for a long weekend to this charming home. The property is exactly as listed and was perfect for some rest and relaxation. We wanted to do some fishing and were able to do just that across the street at the Lake. The owner also suggested a fishing guide who took us out on the lake in his boat. Great time and reasonable prices. Very happy with the entire experience. We plan on returning!
