Location was fine and right by lake.
It was very muddy outside the door by lake
The home was Very dirty in bedroom. The two sink taps didn’t have hot water. Dirty in bedrooms and under bed. Bed held up with what looked like car jacks.
Black mould in bedroom on ceiling and on walls in corners.
TVs didn’t work and we reported this along with the sinks but they didn’t sort it as we were out and they said they didn’t have spare key. ?

The accommodation was clean and comfortable, and was well equipped, we rented two lodges, and both were of a good standard..we also liked the clubhouse
The decking was very slippery as was the grass at bottom of steps, i think having an artificial grass path would benefit winter months as the access was used a lot . Also not much in the childrens park for different age groups.

The caravan was a last minute change to our original booking of a chalet due to hot water issues. However, the hosts were very apologetic and gave us the option of this amazing caravan. I won't lie, I did have my reservations about 6 grown adults staying in a caravan, however, I can not complain. On arrival and entrance to the caravan we were surprised to find a lovely hamper from the hosts. The caravan layout was fabulous. It had all we could of hoped for and with a master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom one end of the caravan and two twin bedrooms with another bathroom at the other end this caravan had plenty of room for us all. The middle of the caravan was the main living area with an L shaped sofa which was very comfortable and the kitchen/dining area which had all you needed.
The only criticism I would have was that our stay was on a wet November weekend. The caravan has its own driveway/hard stand for a car. However, unfortunately this is just wide enough for the car so we had to step out onto wet soil before entering the caravan. Therefore it could ideally do with being extended widthways to create a slight pathway upto the caravans lovely decked area. The other criticism is also the decked area does have a light by the entrance door, however, again the main entrance is in the middle of the caravan and therefore a mains light near the steps would be helpful, as the two solar lights on the gate posts were not working. So coming home in the dark, on a wet November night and trying to find the steps up was slight tricky, luckily we had the sense to use a torch. Other than those two issues I can't fault the caravan. I would definitely recommend the site and we shall be booking again for sometime in the spring.

Mattresses were uncomfortable. Very basic kitchen ware

We had 2 chalets next door to each other and they were completely different. One had clearly been updated, yet the other one was quite tatty and not very welcoming. For example, all the dining room chairs were broken, therefore we chose not to use them and stayed in the other chalet at meal times. The freezer wasn’t particularly clean with grated cheese in the tray and a strange smell to the fridge!

Liked the location and the lodge. We did struggle with the lock box, but think that was more us than the lock box! Very happy stay and would stay again. It's in a great location for many different activities, there is something for everyone.
Nothing was bad, enjoyed it.

The location
Bad housekeeping, uncomfortable main bedroom mattress and 1 couch in the lounge that only just seats 3 people at a squeeze (slim people). Needs better lounge seating. Lots of spiders and I had to request housekeepers to get rid of them

So pleased we came across this! The engagement and instructions from the owner were clear and hospitable. The location near the lakes, ducks and swans, the self-contained family accommodation, easy parking, the communal club space, short distances to towns and villages in the Cotswolds, and the peaceful, cabin, campsite feeling made this a wonderful short stay holiday with family.

Nice location and view, very relaxing.
The sofas are not clean.

The location was good. It was clean. Staff was supportive.
I booked a Lodge but was told a day before that due to some problem we are transfered to a Caravan, I had to agree to that because I had no other choice or to cancle my trip. The caravan was much smaller then the lodge, master bed room was ok but the two other bed rooms were extremely small, specially the third bed room was litraly a long closet with train size berths installed.
I booked for 4 adults and one child of 15 years, so 5 people in total, the accomadition in the Caravan was not comfortable for three of the guests at all which caused uncomfortable night sleep for those three and back pain to one of the guests.
I would like to get compensation and refund as I paid for Lodge but was given a Caravan with inappropreate accomadation for all the guests.

Beautiful surroundings, nice size lodge, parking .
The lodges are situated a 'Hoburn' complex and really enjoyed the facilities. Staff were friendly particularly the waitress In the restaurant.
Restaurant really for coeliac plenty of choice for gluten free. The shop on site also had gluten free bread.
We did t like the fact that we hadn't had the address details sent to us to know where to find the lodges as they are on Hoburn site but wasn't aware that the lodges were based on the Hoburn site as it wasn't mentioned on the booking.
Washing machine and dishwasher didn't work. Shower was inconsistent with temperature. No spatular which made cooking difficult.
Once we found the lodge and explored hoburn site we enjoyed the pool, pedalos and sports bat on site.

Location next to lake and site facilities.
Lodge was tired, fixtures and fittings tired too. Decking gate and rotten handrail a health and safety risk.
Issues raised with agent, agreed refund made but could have been avoided if more proactive, I.e. inspections before season begins.

The cabins were clean, the beds were cosy, the activity centre was good, the parking was convenient and the host was great!

A pleasant and comfortable stay. Nice and peaceful location with good access to the facilities. Good communication from the hosts.
The shower head had broken so it wasn’t easy to have a shower. The mattress in the spare room was very uncomfortable (see previous reviews). The BBQ hadn’t been cleaned. As we were only staying for 2 nights they weren’t big issues but nevertheless they could do with improving.

Cleanliness standard
Shower cold, reported and was told it would be fixed while we were out. It wasn't, so reported again, and was told sorry but yes it will get fixed. This was the first day and by day 3 when we left, it still hadn't been fixed.
The fridge door shelf was broken when we arrived, along with the microwave handle, both reported, not fixed

The location was right by a lake and walking distance to nice restaurant and water sports facilities
it would have be good to have a little table lamp for reading in the second bedroom, the one with two single beds in as the light was far too bright at night for reading.

Great property near the lakes with all mod cons including a washing machine that was so helpful in helping us clean our laundry.
The facilities on site were great too!
Was a little tricky to find but directions given were helpful. The site map downloaded from hoburne holidays helped me find the lodge.
The checkout was too early at 10am but this is understandable to air out the property. A little flexibility offered say to 10:30am would have been useful but there was another booking after so the host said no.

Nothing-we didn’t stay
The property was filthy inside, dust everywhere, floors weren’t clean, ants everywhere in the living room.
The boiler cupboard door was half open and wouldn’t fully close, the boiler was leaking. The door handles for both bedrooms and the bathroom were loose with screws hanging out, the master bedding was stained as were the sofa cushions.
We were offered alternative accommodation on the other side of the park that wasn’t a lake side property (which we paid for) and had no bath/washing machine-as we have two children under 3 this wasn’t suitable. Two hours after arriving we left with nowhere else to stay and ended up in a single room in a hotel for two nights until we found further accommodation. We travelled for 8 hours to get to Cotswold lodges for our first family holiday, it started off under a huge cloud due to the appalling state the property was in

We loved the location and all the facilities. Kids had a great time in the pool.
Everything was perfect.

The site was brilliant. Staff were all friendly, and the whole site was immaculate.
The facilities, pool, and restaurant were excellent with the added bonus that my dog was welcome in most areas.
The lodge was really well appointed and well equipped.
The best recommendation is that I would be very happy to go back and for a longer stay
I only had one gripe, not truly a complaint, but in an otherwise excellent lodge, the shower was poor. But this was really minor and a descale would sort it out.

The location
The lodge needs a little bit of updating. There were a few things not working , the washing machine handle fell off and I was not able to use the duration of the trip. Also the mattresses of the single beds are very uncomfortable, they need replacing. The wardrobes also need updating.?

great location overlooking the lake, parking available right by front door. Well equipped kitchen , very comfortable, good hot shower. Very quiet at night and very clean no litter around.
The weather was rainy but the chalet was warm and comfortable so we still enjoyed ourselves

Great location on the edge of the lake - unfortunately the weather did not help - very rainy during our stay.

The location and accommodation were OK. The location made it easy to get to local destinations especially south Cerney and cirencester. The pool was fine at the park and so it was useful to have the park tickets included. The accommodation was basic but was fine for a short break if a few days.
The accommodation bedding was uncomfortable, the mattresses are certainly past their best, as were some of the furnishings such as the main sofa. The crockery and cutlery, glasses were all limited and not 100% clean so we had to rinse things before using them. Despite there being wall heaters in the lounge these did not seem to work even though we followed the instructions provided. This meant the lodge was cold in the mornings and we had to rely on a small oil radiator provided and heaters in the bedrooms. I would recommend that the bedroom curtains also be replaced - paper thin and let in light from the external lights from the nearby neighbouring lodges

Very cozy and spacious living room
Bathroom wasn’t as clean as we thought it would be. Found a few dog hair balls and mud patches and shower wasn’t powerful

Close to parking facilities. Peaceful location next to the lake.
Heating in corridor not working - wires disconnected. No access to Wifi. Host supplied a new router that aklso did not connect.

We had a lovely stay
The single beds weren’t too comfortable, but I appreciated that they at least put a mattress topper on them! Along with the duvet provided on the mattress and our own duvet on top it was reasonably comfortable, but the mattress’s are a little knackered.
