About this house rental
Kalani Kai Beach House is a newly renovated, private gated oceanfront home located on one of the Waialae Beach Lots with a beautiful swimming pool nestled next to a sandy beach.
The upstairs master suite has a king-size bed and panoramic ocean views from a spacious private lanai. The downstairs master suite with its king-size bed opens onto the oceanside pool lanai. The queen bedroom suite is separate just off the great room. For the kids there’s a double-double loft/bunk bed.
Kalani Kai Beach House kitchen opens to both the pool lanai and the great room. Cathedral ceilings and tall glass sliders, give the home a grand feeling of space. Each room is air-conditioned with its own zone climate control. There’s a separate cable TV family room and there are also TVs in the larger bedrooms. WIFI is available throughout the house and yard.
Bordering the backyard is a sand covered beach where at low tide the Kahala Hotel and its restaurants are a 10 minute walk away. For enjoyment of the many island attractions, it’s only a 10 minute drive to Hanauma Bay and just beyond that there is Sandy Beach and Sea Life Park. While isolated from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki, this private gated retreat is less than a 10 minute drive to the heart of Waikiki. Kahala Mall, Foodland (grocery store), Longs/CVS (drugstore), Costco, local and fine dining are just minutes away.

This was a beautiful home and very accommodating for our family of 9! The kitchen was well-stocked for cooking and plenty of space for everyone to relax.
The location was close to the airport as well as easy access to restaurants n grocery stores. The pool and walk out access to the beach was a definite bonus. We had a wonderful family Christmas here in Oahu. Thanks to Sandy for such a warm welcome!

Loved this house! My adult family of 8 stayed here comfortably with plenty of room. The house was very private and well appointed. The location is wonderful, far enough from the crowds to feel exclusive, but not too far from shops and town. The driveway is tricky, but we would definitely to come back and stay here again.

This is a beautiful facility, with the beach right out the back gate. The beach is shallow (not swimmable) and safe for children. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked with utensils and gadgets. One of the two master bedrooms has a jacuzzi and a shower large enough for two (or more!). The swimming pool is not gated, so if you have young children, they need to be supervised. Getting in and out of the driveway is very doable even though you are on a busy street. No traffic noise. There is a hose outside but no outside shower. We had a great time and were very comfortable. Sandy responded to our silliest questions immediately and gave very clear directions to the house. All in all a wonderful stay.

The house was perfect for me and some adult friends to comfortably visit Oahu. The location was good save for getting in and out of the driveway on to Hwy 72. Shops were conveniently located and it was easy to get to and from any 0lace on the island. The beach in front of the houescould be cleaned up your yard crew routinely. It was unattractive.

The pool depth of 4 feet was perfect for our 7 and 9 year old granddaughters, and 50’ away was a beach with a shallow walk to a coral reef. We snorkeled and fished a lot and had a great time. The house amenities were spectacular.

Very comfortable with 7 people. Nicely furnished w high end appliances but tiny oven. Driveway security gate is nice bcuz of busy highway location but gate was inconvenient for local family visiting us.

We stayed for a week. I personally think the pictures do not do the home justice. There is plenty of space if needed. Easy access to travel if needed. The property managers were great! Answered all questions quickly and thoroughly. Will definitely stay again if possible!

Family of 8 vacation
Overall we LOVED our stay at this property! GOOD THINGS: The pool was a big hit with the grandkids(really all of us), having beach access right off the backyard was amazing! The backyard is the best place to hang out! The house had everything you could need to cook or bbq meals. The kitchen had some really nice features. A big separated freezer section, a separated 2 drawer refrigerated section for drinks and a huge refrigerator! The bedroom situation works out nicely for time apart but the house has lots of good common space to make great memories! Worth noting….the beds are SO comfortable! NOT SO GOOD THINGS: The location is tricky! You’re right on the highway so waiting for the gate to open to pull into the driveway was a little inconvenient. We had 3 rental cars and that proved to be a little difficult parking in the driveway as well. It was very nice to have the use of a washer and dryer but the dryer didn’t dry very well so we spent more time than we would have wanted to on laundry. The room with bunk beds “the kid’s room” had a door that led outside. We were uncomfortable with that but made some adjustments so we didn’t have to worry about the grandkids opening the door in the middle of the night. The good far outweighed the inconvenient and I would DEFINITELY stay here again!

80th Birthday Celebration
We had an excellent trip. We had a range of ages from 1 to 80. The house was well equipped for everyone and we had no issues with check-in or the equipment in the house. The location is perfect and the beach is very calm. I would highly recommend. Hosts were excellent to work with and prompt.

Wonderful Stay!
Our group of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house is large so we didn’t feel on top of each other. It was equipped with everything we needed. The backyard was great to sit and relax and watch the ocean. We didn’t use the pool, but it looked nice. For those with mobility issues be aware that there are several stairs. Sandy was an angel to work with, and was quick to answer any questions! We would definitely rent this again!

Great place for a big group / family gathering
Great house, plenty of room and well appointed. Check-in process was a little overwhelming, but the house manual has all the information you ned to know. Grill was not working when we got there, but management group went above and beyond to rectify. Overall, we were very comfortable (6 adults and 2 teens) in the house - there is plenty of space to get together as a group or separate for individual activity. Location-wise you are close (10 min) to Waikiki or shopping (5 min), but you are right off the highway. Noise is not an issue, but you just have to be careful getting in and out of the property. This is a great place if you have a big group - good base of operations location-wise to get different daily activities and plenty of space to gather in the evening for a big dinner or game night. Management group was very communicative and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed throughout the visit.

The property his in an excellent location for visiting Honolulu as well as the rest of the island. The setting on the calm bay is fabulous. The sleeping arrangements are perfect for 3 couples and 3 singles. Seating areas and patio furniture were great. The kitchen is great for cooking and is well furnished with all the appliances you need. However, the oven is small. Sandy and Ginger at Kathy Muller Vacations were great communicators.

Absolutely wonderful
This is a beautiful property with everything you need for a delightful Hawaiian vacation. The house layout worked well for our multigenerational family, but there are quite a few stairs. The water is very shallow at the beach which worked well for young ones. Proximity to airport and Waikiki as well as the rest of the island is great. Although it's on a busy road, once you're in the house it's quiet and private. It's situated so you can enjoy both sunrises and sunsets from the patio. What made this place exceptional was the wonderful service provided by Sandy! She was very responsive to the issues that came up and extremely accommodating! Mahalo, mahalo!

We have stayed at other properties and there was always something negative. Not with this property! All things were covered and everything was just as they promised. Sandy met us at house and gave complete tour and explained everything. We loved the pool, the views and the house overall. Wouldn't hesitate to return.

Lovely Home
This house is comfortable, clean and relaxing. Lots of space for our family. The manager was quick with a need we had and very helpful. Fun pool and the view from the upstairs balcony is beautiful. The only thing I wish I had known is that the house is on the highway and fortunately there is a bus stop out front so you have a place to slow down to enter the gate into the parking area. It's a sharp turn in and you want to be careful entering and exiting. Wait for the traffic light to change and the traffic to slow. Very comfy home.

Wonderful family home
The property was perfect. We were so happy to take a break from COVID. There was space for everyone to spread out. Good location. We loved that the pool was only 3 feet deep. It was perfect for our grandchildren. The house was equipped with everything that we needed- we even learned how to use a steam oven!

Beachfront bliss
Our family just spent a much needed midwinter break in this beautiful East Oahu home. The proximity to town and Waikiki was great for our teenagers, while the younger children loved playing in the pool and hunting for crabs on the beach. The home had plenty of space for everyone. With air conditioned spaces for comfort and thoughtful touches like towels, beach mats and boogie boards. We would come back in a heartbeat! Highly recommended!

Overall a great location. The management company checks you in and out, which was a bit odd for us, but they were very nice. The home is aging a bit but we found everything in working order. Reasonably stocked kitchen, and bbq was clean. We received some very heavy rains while we were staying that caused some water to come in the home- but that couldn't be helped. One thing of note- there are many steps in this home, so mobility impaired families should take that into account when booking. Our large group of 10 ranging in age from 2.5-70 did not feel cramped, plenty of space to spread out.

Great time
All was good, though the house appeared somewhat dated. The agents were always accessible, one if not the other. The oven was found to be inoperative the day before Thanksgiving, however, the agent relocated us to a very nice property for our use the entire day which worked out just fine. The Cable TV in the second master suite was in-operative throughout the stay though the agent tried in vain to have this corrected by the cable company. Overall, we had a great time.

Perfect Location.Beautiful Home
We couldn't believe just how perfect this house was not only with his amenities but the location. It was literally 10-15mins from everything - Hanauma Bay, Koko Crater Trail, Manoa Falls, Waikiki Aquarium, Honolulu Zoo, Waikiki Beach, Ala Moana. Not to mention a fabulous supermarket just down the road too. The home was gorgeous. Comfy beds, enough rooms and bathrooms for all of us, and the pool and views were enjoyed every day and every evening. We wish we could stay longer. Thank you!!

Awesome home on the beach
This house was awesome for our family get together! Beautiful views of the ocean from all over the house. The layout is great, allowing our group of 9 to have places to spread out when needed but also congregate together. The pool was clean and only 3-3.5 feet deep which was great for our young kids. We were 10-15 minutes from Waikiki and only 1 minute from a good grocery store. Most days after going to the beach or doing activities around the island, we came back to the house and hung out because the house and property were relaxing and beautiful. Up to date kitchen and gas grill gave us great options for meals. We will definitely try to stay here again whenever we return to Oahu!!

what a great time for family
We loved this property. The house is super clean and it has a dream kitchen. It is right on the water and has a nice long beach that you could walk down to the Plumeria Beach House and have a beautiful lunch. It is close to everything, grocery right down the street, restaurants and only like 15 minutes to get down to Waikiki and do a little shopping. The beach sits on a sand shelf and is very shallow (and pretty rocky) so the waves break out a bit but there are plenty of swimmable beaches right up the road 10-15 min. We had a really good time with the family and loved the fact you can pretty much open up the house with the pocket sliding patio doors. Easy for indoor and outdoor use. The pool is shallow but big enough to have a good pool volleyball game. The fancy toilets were the cracking everyone up. It was so entertaining to hear the others talking about them. Loved every minute of it!!!
