About this house rental
A bright, sunny, delightful home on the outskirts of the village of St Remy de Provence, perhaps the nicest Provence village to use as a base due to its charming variety of boutiques and restaurants.
Le Canari is in a great location -- a couple of blocks to the heart of the village (no car needed!), but with quiet and privacy. The property consists of a large terrace, a huge yard, an oversized pool and a pool house. Your private hideaway smack dab on the edge of Provence's best village. The house has three bedrooms, two baths, a well-equipped kitchen, a charming dining room, and a living room that's stylish and comfortable.
It's a short, easy walk to the village, where you'll find a weekly market day with an incredible variety of foods, crafts, antiques. It's also an easy stroll for morning coffee and croissants or an evening film (once a week in English!) and dinner. Despite Le Canari's wonderful access to town, the house is sequestered, private and quiet, with lots of windows bringing in the sunshine and affording pretty views.
The decor is stylish and all utilities are new, including air conditioning, dishwasher, washer / dryer, microwave, satellite TV, CD / DVD, Wi-Fi, etc.
Le Canari is one of the most popular Provence rentals and it books year round (it's heated and well-insulated for winter holidays). Book now for your very memorable holiday at this beloved Provencal villa!
Rentals are from Saturday to Saturday.

We stayed at the house for 2 weeks and had a great time. The location is excellent with many walkable activities, great with a small child, and also many interesting trips less than 45 mins away (Arles, Avignon, Pont du Gard, Camargue etc.). Filip was friendly and helpful, and a mid rental clean was welcome. The house itself has everything advertised and more. We really enjoyed ourselves and would go back.

Le Canari was the perfect spot for us. It was conveniently located, private, comfortable and well appointed!

The house exceeded expectations. The photographs don't really do it justice. The garden is absolutely gorgeous and a real solace in the Provencal heat. It's like a country house in the centre of town. The property itself is clean and comfortable and very well stocked. Everything you think you might need can be found there. We didn't have much interaction with Philip, but he was very responsive to any message. The property is less than 5 minutes walk to the centre of Saint Remy. A picture postcard/instagrammable small town in the heart of Provence. Every morning we bought pastries from one of the many local boulangerie and we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing by the pool. The restaurants in Saint Remy can be a bit hit and miss. Some have catered to the tourist market and the standards have slipped with that. We had a couple of good meals at La Terrasse and some sublime salads and galettes at Creperie Lou Planet. La Cantina make good pizza but the staff are harrassed and busy and that can spoil the vibe. The Wednesday market is busy, but worth a visit. La Mausele de Saint Paul is worth a visit. As are the roman ruins and a trip to the Pont du Gard is certainly a worthwhile excursion. We loved Saint Remy and this wonderful house and would highly recommend it. We really hope to return.

I never write reviews, but figured I had to this time.
We *really* enjoyed our stay at this location. We've been all over the world and - this place is waaay nicer that staying at a fancy hotel. Flip is a great host - we had a minor issue with the shower drainage and he had it fixed it immediately. He is there when you need him, but he is not in your space.
It's walking distance from the old town - make sure to visit the vegetarian restaurant on the way. When you do - say hi to Zoe. She is Natacha's rescue dog - and only slightly cooler that her owner.
The property is amazing and it's really nice that previous guests leave things like coffee, sugar etc. (we left tea bags and olive oil), it's like a non-obligatory secret Santa. This gives it a home-y feeling and you can immediately relax. We had friends over and the large garden was perfect for our evening dinner party.
One note of advice - just outside the bedroom doors there are rather sharp pins sticking out of the ground used to fasten the shutters. Don't step on it with bare feet!!

We loved this home in beautiful St. Remy. Our stay was too short. Highly recommend, as home is super comfy for a family with good beds, towels, well outfitted kitchen and easy walk to everything. Lovely to be met at the house for a walk through the property. The home really is a perfect base for exploring Provence.

Property was beautiful, food in town was spectacular, just a few blocks to everything in town. Plenty to choose from even in late November. Great home base for exploring Provence.

Superb location, with just a short walk into town. Great base for exploring the Provence. House and yard were clean and well appointed. Check in and out was smooth. Would certainly stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Canari. Its a beautiful, well maintained home which felt very comfortable and welcoming. It was spotlessly clean and the furnishings were of a good quality. The garden, terrace and pool area are also spacious and well maintained.
The house is in a great location a short walk into the center of St Remy with its many shops and restaurants. The manager Philip was great to deal with, very responsive with good communication and helpful info. Our favorite house on our month-long trip to Provence.

Le Canari is a terrific base to explore all that Provence has to offer! the house, garden and pool are a beautiful oasis
(but only a couple of blocks from St Remy markets and restaurants!) after a full day exploring and Filip was a pleasure to deal with.
Highly recommend!

We stayed as a family of adults and one older teen. The villa was perfect...spacious, beautifully decorated and a very short walk from the centre. Well equipped. Being all on one level would be good for anyone with less mobility. The garden is large and there are a few shaded areas too although the terrace also has a light shading from a more covered pergola. (Much needed in the heatwave of 40 degrees!) Altogether a super stay!

We had a lovely stay at La Canari. The house is fresh and convenient. We look forward to returning.

We had a wonderful week in Saint Remy. The house was exactly as described with beautiful outdoor space. Communications with the owner and property manager were responsive.
The kitchen was well equipped; we even had an evening cooking with a local chef and she was pleased to see the amount of flatware, plates and glasses. She commented that it was much better equipped than most rentals in Provence.
One of the best surprises was the proximity to town. It was just a few blocks from the center of activity so visiting the market on Wednesday, going to the U Express on foot or visiting the boulangerie in the morning were all easy!
We will stay again!

We LOVED our stay here. You are close enough to the town to walk to everything easily but once you close the gate, you feel like you could be out in the country. The house and yard were even prettier in person than in the pictures. The check-in and check-out process was easy. And when we had an issue one night with the electrical box, the manager was very responsive. St. Remy itself is a wonderful base for exploring the whole area. We should highly recommend this home to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

This is a terrific house. Minutes walk into beautiful Saint Remy. Couldn’t have asked for a better place for our visit.
Highly recommend for up to 6 people.
Pool and yard was private and just a lovely environment.

The CANARI in St Rémy de Provence is a very cozy home, located just a few blocks from the town. As other reviews have indicated, the house is well-equipped with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The property manager was very helpful in the check-in and accommodating our arrival time. I’ve stayed in several rental properties in St Rémy and only a couple are located as conveniently for walking into town. We enjoyed very much the Christmas festivities of St Rémy, and it’s a great home base for day trips to other towns in the area.

Lovely home near the centre of St Remy. Well equipped house with every needed to enjoy the stay. The only downside were the mosquitos that made sitting outside challenging most of the time.

The whole place is even better than described, but Filip made it all work for us. Little problems never became annoying due to his responsiveness and positive attitude. We loved everything about our stay here.

The property is as described with everything that's needed for a comfortable stay and furnished to a high standard.
It has a lovely big secluded garden with plenty of sun chairs and loungers. It's just a 5 minute walk into town where there are lots of good restaurants.
English TV channels would be a bonus.

Very positive. A bit cluttered in cupboards & drawers. Gorgeous garden with lots of space. Great 12m pool. Kettle would have been useful. Fantastic place to stay. Will definitely be back.

The house looks brighter, lighter and larger than the images suggests, the pool especially!
The house was well set out and equip, and it really is a great location. Private and quiet, yet only 2 minutes walk for fresh croissant each morning :-)
The listings don't suggest it - beach towels and hair dryers are provided, in case it saves you any precious baggage space.

Le Carni has it all, location, size, privacy, property, amenities, comfort. 100% can't miss!

We truly enjoyed our stay in this spacious, beautiful and well equipped house. Location just outside village center was perfect - we didn’t need the car for anything and also our teenage girls could safely walk to the village for ice cream or shops. In the kitchen you could find anything you need, and plenty of guidebooks and maps were available. We had some unexpected nuisance regarding cleaning which was quickly sorted out by the very responsive host (property manager). Only thing to mention is that the house is located next to an apartment building with a pool, and while there is no direct view, you do hear some noise, we even had to listen some balcony drilling and renovation sounds. This was not a major issue for us but maybe good to be aware in case one is looking for something quiet.

Le Canari reveals the simple but intense miracle of quiet daily life for every age. A beautiful garden with a large swimming pool, a nice house within short walking distance from the lively city centre. Filip is a kind, efficient home manager, always in for excellent local suggestions.

The house manager, Filip, was fantastic! Anytime we had a question his answer was immediate. We loved our stay in this house. So close to downtown, walking to everything is such a bonus! Highly recommend!

The place was amazing...the location, the amenities and the atmosphere. We really liked that it was around the corner from town, rather than in-town. Filip met us at the place as planned and walked us through the house and gave us recommendations for restaurants. It was so easy. We would highly recommend this place to anyone who would enjoy a comfortable, relaxing and very clean place to stay. THANK YOU

The house was amazing - a short walk into town, most importantly to patisseries in the a.m. - and yet very quiet. The house was well equipped and we lived out on the patio overlooking the pool. Only drawback is small step down into shower in master ensuite which could be a bit of a challenge to those with knee problems/replacements. Would happily return. The Wednesday market was a five minute walk away if that. Same for epicerie. You are also a short walk from many restaurants. It doesn't get much more convenient than this.

The house and garden were beautiful, exactly as advertised. Almost like being in the country side with all the advantages of being in town. Filip was a pleasure, helpful in every way. Highly recommended.

Completely delightful. This was my second stay at Le Canari and it was even more wonderful than my first. It is perfect in every way: close to the center of the village but so very private, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, wonderful pool (essential this past week with temperatures above 100F!), relaxing patio space, efficient housekeeping on the intervening weekend of my two week stay, and Filip was always available, responsive, and cordial regarding our requests. I would like to know the location of other properties the owner (Stephen) has, as I would travel there for that reason. Merci beau coup!
