We arrived late and just slept, left first thing next morning, it was comfortable and nice and clean. House is classic older home that has been updated nicely. It is not some cookie cutter built new home, but has the design and personality of a traditional southern home. From tall ceilings to 12" baseboards and original wood floors, it has character. We enjoyed our short visit and rested well.

Great location for exploring the Valdosta historic district!

We enjoyed our time in this pet friendly home. It had a lot of charm and character and was very clean. We couldn’t stay as we had to move on to our North Ga cabin but Valdosta was a great midway point driving from South Florida. It was close to the railroad tracks but not too loud.

The house was equipped with appliances and kitchen needs, and decor was neat. Tubs are a problem for the elderly. The home is in need of a deep cleaning. The light globes and fans are really dusty and is a little rough on the allergies.

The home was perfect while we were in town for VSU graduation. There was plenty of room to have a small gathering. Check in and out was easy and host is quick to respond to any questions. Would recommend if yor are in the area.

House was the perfect size, great back yard equipped with toys for the kids! We had trouble with the living room TV, but Elana was incredibly helpful. She responded quickly and was able to troubleshoot the issues over the phone. Very clean and well-stocked. Would definitely stay here again!!

There are a lot of great reviews for this home. Our experience and perspective is different. Train nearby was very loud. Close to freeway. The home is old..fine but also dirty. Living room couch bed is broken. Hard to get into master tub/shower. Dining room table legs loose. Again it’s just not going to be for everyone.

Pleasant overnight stay. Some improvements needed to the backyard, but nice enough. Both bathtubs are extremely tall and are hard to get in out of. Comfortable beds.

The house was comfortable but a few extra touches would’ve made it perfect.

This was our second visit to this home. Great older home close-by to lots of downtown attractions but still a quiet neighborhood. Beautiful three bedrooms, large dining room, fenced backyard. Lots of space for everyone to enjoy. Great home base while visiting many relatives in the area. Would definitely book again!

We were investigating this property for future family gatherings. It will be perfect for us in the future. I recommend the property.

Easy check-in after arriving later than expected. We only used one room and that bed was really comfortable. Appreciated the pitcher of cold, filtered water in the fridge upon arrival. The kitchen worked well for making breakfast before heading back out on our road trip. With only 2 of us, we didn't need the large dining or living rooms. A larger group would appreciate all of the extra room to spread out though. Everything was clean. Communication with the host was excellent. Would stay here again.

Loved the charm of the house. Perfect stop for the family on the way to the Everglades.

This was a beautiful, older home with modern features. The tubs were a little hard to get in and out of, but there were no real complaints. It was clean and perfect for our one night stay on our way to Florida.

This house was beautiful. It's an old house with all the charm. Beds were comfortable. The owner provided everything we needed as we stayed on our way to and on our way back from the Everglades. We were traveling with grandmothers who did have some trouble with the lack of handrails on the front steps. The claw foot shower and large tub weren't easily accessed for them either. However, the owner was fabulous with communication. Our dog did well here. Great place, hope to revisit.

We stayed in the home at the end of June for three days while we took our grandchildren to Wild Adventures. The house IS charming and The owner did respond to me timely while we were there. Unfortunately, on the last day, we found bedbugs! We were horrified and knew that they had likely gotten into our luggage. Of course I called The owner right away and she came over but it went downhill from there. She did not seem very concerned. She offered us 100.00 back on the rental and asked that we not leave a bad review. I told her that we would need to throw out everything that we brought with us so as not to bring them home. She did not seem to care. When we left, I purchased new clothing and a hotel room for us to change into the new clothing and threw what we were wearing out. I treated it like decontamination. We then had our house and our vehicles professionally treated! It was not worth the risk to our grandchildren. I sent a text to The owner advising her of what it had cost us; $2500.00. I did not expect her to reimburse us for that but did expect a refund of the rental and perhaps a sincere apology. She simply sent a text back with an incident # for VRBO. When I called them, they said there was nothing they could do as this was between us and the owner of the rental. The lady at VRBO was sympathetic but her hands were tied. She did tell me that the owner told VRBO that she would not give any refund for that rental. not even the $100 she offered! I cannot begin to express the stress, cost and emotional toll this has taken on me, my husband and my family. If you have ever dealt with bedbugs, then you understand. This owner clearly is not putting money back into the property to protect her renters. This could have been prevented if she had taken the precautions that any vacation rental should. I checked the listing shortly after our stay and saw that she had the place booked. I know she planned to replace the mattresses but bed bugs are not JUST on mattresses. This house needed to be decontaminated as well. I hope she had that done but I doubt it so future renters beware!

We were traveling all day for a Disney trip, with dogs and kids and a baby. This was a welcome surprise after a long day of travel. The house is amazing and so charming. It’s historic and they have kept much of the original touches. The bed in the front was super comfortable and no one else had complaints either. We will definitely be back, we just wish we could have stayed longer. And the owner is a delight to communicate with!

Really enjoyed being able to relax with my family while visiting our son at VSU. Charming older home with many original fixtures. This was our first time trying VRBO vs a hotel and we were very pleased.

This house looks beautiful in the pictures online but they are a scam.we arrived at this house and it was filthy, the sheets, towels and cloth napkins had visible hair and food and stains, the furniture was soiled in the livingroom ,the bed was on bricks,we were told 15 mins before check in that 1 room would be closed off due to a bed being broke and then found out after check in a previous person urinated on it and we only found that out because we were concerned about the sheets and blanket in the trash can. The trash was already full when we arrived the washcloths and towels were used and refolded. And my son started getting bites everywhere so we ended up leaving and the kids and I had to sleep in the car until we found somewhere else because it late. When we called her we were refused a refund.I found out from his pediatrician that they were bedbug bites.

Wonderful older house.
Very nice for an older home. We arrived a bit late and pretty tired from the long drive. As soon as everyone laid down we were fast asleep because the beds were so comfortable. The owner provided everything. Thank you for such a nice stay.

Elana was great to work with. Her older home has a ton of charm and character. Very spacious. Great neighborhood to walk and explore and very close to town center.

Neat home, safe neighborhood!
You have to appreciate the age of the home and how they have tried to keep the originality to the property. The home was cool when you walked in and you saw this never ending hallway, bedrooms were huge. Much bigger inside than what it appears on the outside. Neighborhood was quiet and safe (there is a railway close where we could hear the trains, but it didn’t bother us at all). Slept well! Property manager was kind and quick to reply! Thank you!!!

Great Historical House
So interesting a historical home, built in 1902. Big enough for family reunion! Easy access anywhere around Valdosta. Except for the Valdosta train, neighborhood is quiet. Host Elana is wonderful and so very accessible. Will return whenever we can!
