Great home on the lake! Perfect for our family - we had a wonderful time! Would like more food and clothing storage space but we made it work. Would definitely rent this house again!

The place was fantastic. Tons of room. The back deck was great with nice, large, picnic table. There is a back porch downstairs and a nice fire pit too. The kitchen had everything we needed including many pots, plates, silverware, etc. Overall, a great experience. A word of caution. The stairs leading from the road into the house are steep. As are the stairs down to the lake. If you have trouble with stairs, this probably isn’t the place for you. If stairs aren’t a problem, you’ll love it. We did.

Totally enjoyed the house and view. The only downside is the parking and the steps down to the house. Carrying belongings and coolers down the steps was very difficult.
Also the kitchen has no space for the food you bring. There was only one cabinet empty for storage.
Otherside the place was wonderful.

A nice location, house layout and great lake access. Only negative is the path getting to property and going down to the dock is hard to traverse. Overall great experience and nice property we enjoyed our stay.

Family vacation.
We had a wonderful week at the lake! The house was adorable - perfect set up for our family. Very clean and we all really enjoyed the screened in porch, deck and picnic table for the kids, and the cabin “feel” of the entire house. The dock was perfect for our family and all the little kids. Our only complaints would be the inconsistent stones walking down to the dock and the bottom floor shower was extremely tiny. It was quite difficult to keep the water off of the bathroom floor. It was very easy to get ahold of and communicate with the property manager. We truly loved this property and made many many memories!

Pros: GREAT space indoors/outdoors, GREAT dock, good location, lake pretty clean/clear here and good for swimming, most bedrooms had decent amount of storage (drawers or closets or both), good storage in bathrooms, lots of hooks everywhere for hanging wet stuff, comfortable beds, dry basement (not musty), more than enough AC units, ceiling fans & box fans, nice grill, 3 full bathrooms, screenroom
Cons: Kitchen & dishes needed deep cleaning, looked like a years worth of built up grease on cupboards/handles and appliances. Only one tiny ~12" cabinet for food storage for a house that accommodates 12, lots of storage, but half of it locked & half filled with too many dishes/pans/specialty items, sheets were threadbare, but did the job.

Great house on the lake with plenty of room for everyone. Large tables inside and on the deck make for great family gatherings. The dock is awesome tucked away in a cove. Great for swimming and use of the paddle board and 2 kayaks provided. Also loved the fire pit. Only negatives were an occasional bad odor from septic system and a lot of steps from parking area to the house.

Great location, right on the lake. House was comfortable, well laid out and had the most equipped kitchen of any vacation house!

Excellent Location on Party Cove
This lakefront location can’t be beat—you can wake up and jump into the lake for a swim from your private dock each morning! Can be loud with motorboats and jet skis, especially on the weekends, but it was a fun time for all, especially our kids. Plenty of room for two families. Lots of water toys and board games to keep the kids entertained. Only criticism is that the entire house has a musty smell; that must be why they had air fresheners in each room.

Week at the lake
Great Lake house loaded with everything you need for cooking and sleeping! Cove is perfect for jet skiis, knee boarding, tubing etc. Nice location near gas station, supermarket, dollar general and pizza place. Beds were very comfy and air conditioning kept us comfy. Only downside is the walk up and down to the water, very steep and uneven with no railings. That was tough for the grandparents in our group and was a workout for everyone else. But we loved our vacation and made lots of memories!!

Cute Cabin In The Woods
We had an amazing time and this property fit our needs perfectly. It was the perfect lake vacation. Cindy was amazing to work with and was very accommodating. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

Weekend Getaway
Great place for a reasonable weekend getaway on the lake. The outdoor space and dock were perfect.

Dads weekend
Thank you for opening up your home to us for a great weekend! Between golf, fishing, kayaking and corn hole the weekend went by quickly but the memories will last forever. You’re cabin in the woods was just what a group of high school friends were looking for and we’ll definitely be back!

Peaceful vacation
This home definitely fits the space needs of a larger group - the only real issue was that most of the kitchen cabinets were locked so could not be used. The cabinets that were unlocked were filled so couldn't be used. We had 10 people in the group so brought a lot of dry goods food that we didn't have anywhere to put so ended up using the bathroom closet. Other than that, it was great week!

Family weekend
Very nice, comfortable cabin with a great view of the lake. Nice deck and screened porch areas. Well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed hiking in the Sanctuary, paddling on the lake " shopping locally" in Hawley and a took 30 minute drive to Honesdale to the small town Christmas parade. The parking is above the cabin, and means carrying your stuff down a rather long uneven stone path. There are lights on the pathway, but we arrived in the dark and the first trip down was interesting as the lights were not on. The railing in the loft is widely spaced, so if you have small children that you plan to put in the loft area, it could be very easy for them to slip through. We did, however, manage to switch the sleeping arrangements. Luckily we were not filling all of the rooms. Overall a nice cabin. I would rent again.

Great getaway vacation!
The house was great overall we had a great time! It was a very well stocked kitchen! Beautiful lake, water was perfect temperature!!! Awesome scenery! However, the house is advertised as having air-conditioning. Not all of the bedrooms are air-conditioned. The first few nights were muggy and uncomfortable sleeping. The steps from the house to the dock should have a railing (from top to bottom) to decrease the chance of falling. At least 4 of our 14 guests tripped or fell at some point during our stay. Had a great week of good family bonding despite the issues.
4.6
Comfortable and functional, good location
We had two families (10 people all together) and were very comfortable. We were able to park 4 cars. The dock is great for hanging around and swimming. I84 is close by so it's easy to get around for day trips. The Dutch Market is just past I 84 so we were able to eat in easily and we used the grill twice. The screened in porch is great, the flatscreen is great and the kitchen is great. Would highly recommend this place. Lots of steps from dock to house and it is steep but manageable.

Lakehouse Review
Great house! We spent a family Thanksgiving (15 in total) here, and it was amazing! The interior was beautiful, plenty of room for everyone, very clean and well stocked! Kitchen had all the utensils we needed to prepare a large holiday dinner. It snowed so we didn't get to use the fire pit or outdoor grills, but the little ones had a great time playing outside in the snow! The owner and manager were great to work with, very accomodating! They worked with us with regard to no cable service when we arrived to having a name for us to contact if we needed cinders or salt to get back up the hill. It was a great vacation and we would definitely highly recommend it to anyone!
4.6
amazing lake access, great for families
We had a guys weekend here and it was perfect. The 10 of us fit comfortably, and between the fire pit, the BBQs (yep 2!), and the dock we had an amazing time.
4.6
Great Lake house
Overall great house. Went for a guy's weekend and everyone loved the house and it's location to the lake. The interior has a great country feel and has a great layout that accomodated our large group. The new dock was great. We caught a lot of fish , was easy access to go out paddle boarding, and we rented a boat that we were able to dock right at the house. There is also a fire pit which was a nice touch as well.
Parking was a little tight, but the realtor was very helpful and accommodating with off site parking and the top deck has a cable railing which everyone was a little uneasy about especially if you have kids.
