Great accommodation with comfortable beds, well-appointed kitchen, and enough supplies for a large group. Perfect for a peaceful holiday.

Millpond House is a lovely home however several issues with our stay. The home was not clean - it was extremely dusty, some crockery and cutlery were dirty and the oven was dirty. Outside had not been dusted or swept and the bins outside were overflowing. This was communicated to the owner who offered us a late check out as compensation. I really feel the cleaning fee should have been refunded.
Also, the bedrooms upstairs have no window coverings at all so at first light all who slept upstairs were wide awake. It's not really 4 bedrooms! There is no toilet upstairs either which is clear on the listing however is a problem when guests are all over a certain age.
The beds were extremely comfortable and the master suite delightful however again, very flimsy window coverings which did not a slow for a weekend sleep in.
There was no bluetooth speaker in the living room so when playing music had to use a very old, dusty and unreliable system in the mater bedroom.
Overall I would not recommend this property for the price. It very much felt like the family had rushed out and thrown all their belongings into a cupboard for a few days.
I have used VRBO several times now and this was an extremely disappointing stay from the points of view above.
Regards,
Danielle

All that you need in a base to explore this beautiful region. More than you need to simply stay pit sit back and hang out in this clean well appointed cozy with very comfortable beds. Sit by fire and play the games available. Stay in and use great kitchen bbq facilities and eat around large table. They say they cater for large groups and they actually deliver. Enough couch dining table bathroom bed and kitchen supplies for a big group even salad bowl. Love can’t wait to return.

Beautiful, quiet and spacious accommodation. Close proximity to Porepunkah, Buckland and Bright and all the local wineries. A great place to stay for a peaceful relaxing holiday.

Beautiful location and house. Found the door hard to unlock and the toilet in the unsuite wobbled. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need.

House not clean. No blinds in rooms. Manager was great. Cleanliness was rectified. House needs work.

We had a fabulous week at this beautiful property. Good facilities and the property manager Robin is very responsive. Great experience and would highly recommend it.

Downstairs is comfortable, spacious and attractive with living, dining and kitchen and main bedroom and ensuite. Also a small room with a bunk. Upstairs has plenty of beds but no toilet or bathroom. The kids' room is not fully finished. The house is well located (with a nice 1.5k walk along the river to Porepunkah). But it is in need of some TLC. Oven, bbq, extractor fan all dirty. Ample cooking equipment but the drawers are a jumble. The house is up for sale.

A comfortable and warm house with easy access to walking tracks. Quick response to queries from the owner and manger. Highly recommended for the family to getaway.

We had a long weekend in this property . Great for a family , loads of room and a huge amount of character. Our son was over the moon at the size of the tv😀.
A great relaxing stay with easy access to bright and beyond.

We booked this property as a family over Xmas and New Year. 6 adults, 2 children and dogs. It was just like home, with a lived-in, comfortable, family feel. It is adequately equipped for 10 people. The back patio is lovely in the evening to chill out and enjoy the peace and quiet. Nice neighbours as well.
Aircon downstairs was great and upstairs had an evaporative air conditioner which kept that whole area cool.
Owner and Property Manager communication was excellent. Robin responded quickly to any questions.
It had everything we needed for a relaxing break in a fabulous part of the world! Would definitely stay again, next time in autumn or winter.

We stayed here with a few friends and really enjoyed our stay. It was close to town and clean.
There was a problem with the oven, but was a minor issue and the property manager was accommodating when we brought the issue to her attention.
Highly recommend this property.

We love this property, close enough, yet far enough away from bright itself to be relaxing . Plenty of space , really feels like our own home , had this property multiple times .
