Spacious kitchen with two separate stovetops, loved the canopy over the deck and access to the dock shed for storing floats with a mini fridge. The cove is a no wake zone, very private and terrific for soaking. Kayaks available on the property, fun massage chair, great game room downstairs, downstairs fridge for drinks, great puzzle table in the family room and fun poker table in the dining room. Would definitely stay here again.

We came from about an hour away to spend the week relaxing. We were able to rent a boat and go tubing and fishing. We used the paddle board and kayak when we needed a break from the boat and in the evenings before dinner. In the home there is a nice massage chair and the open living room, kitchen area made it easy to connect with family. We even had a few hours that we had to do work and the WIFI worked great. Would highly recommend. They do need to fix the air hockey table and the dryer takes 2 cycles to dry.

Sunset Cove is perfectly named. The sunsets from dock were beautiful. We especially loved the paddle board , kayaks, fire pit, and game room. Floating around and jumping off dock was great. We had fun the whole time.

Well situated house with plenty of room and strong Rec room!

This house was perfect for my 3 generation family. It had everything we needed for the baby. It was very clean. We would stay there again.

The view was great and the living room furniture was very comfortable with the recliner sofas.

Our group was satisfied with the stay.

This house is quietly nestled in a wooded neighborhood. Lake access was easy and enjoyed by all. The kayaks were great. The house has everything you could possibly need. Kitchen is open and spacious. So many fun games, and space for everyone and your dog :) We loved staying here, and would definitely stay here again!

Clean and very inviting. Great view and easy access to dock for enjoyment of water activities.

The house is very old. The inside needs to be updated with new furniture, mattresses, toilets, etc. The untensils, plates, pots, pans, cups are old and look very rough.
The outside deck had pollen stains that needed to be power washed. The dock was nice but was very dirty. It also needed to be power washed. There also needs to be a bigger Keurig for the kitchen. The one that is there is too small and slow.
Overall we were disappointed with the property. We think it is over rated and the rental price is too high for the property.

Despite the freezing temperatures of winter storm Elliott, our family (with 2 dogs) were warm and relaxed at Sunset Cove. The house was spotless, with fully equipped kitchen, and games of all sorts when it was too cold for walks. Everyone loved the Osaka massage chair! We needed maintenance twice for minor items, and the local maintenance person arrived swiftly and quickly resolved our problems. My husband, son, and I enjoyed birding right from the house and by the lake. We saw a bald eagle, pileated woodpecker, and hooded mergansers among other species. Our sunny walks at the Lake Anna State Park were brisk and enjoyable. Definitely would like to come back in warmer weather. Thanks, Perry family.

The view is great! We loved the deck and the pier as well. Such a peaceful setting. The house itself was very beautiful and roomy. We had plenty of space and enjoyed every single second of our stay.

This house is beautiful! We stayed for three days for our annual Girls Trip and had a great time! The house is huge so there is plenty of space to spread out and it was very clean inside and outside. Our only complaint, (well really a suggestion), is they need a better dryer. It took two cycles to be able to dry anything. Also had an issue with ants but we realize this is the lake. Overall, we definitely recommend this house!

Overall, the house was very nice! We really loved the trek deck with a roll down cover. The internet and tv service were very good! The house is very clean. The game room was outstanding! Many games for kids and adults.
A few minor items would make the property outstanding! Those items are: 1 regular size kureg ( the one there is too small and slow, 2. The plastic chairs for the fire pit are worn out and unstable. They need to be replaced, 3. Fire pit is poor. Need to put a better one on the property, 4.outside lamp near driveway wasn’t working( could be a safety hazard walking from car at night), 5. The dock needs to be power washed.

First, the good parts: the property is great. Even though we had a rainy weekend which limited how much we could use the lake, the property is comfortable. Importantly for groups, it has several distinct spaces to relax and be apart or together as needed. We would do our own thing during the day (play games, swim, visit the state park, etc.) and come together at meals later.
Unfortunately, the good parts were profoundly outweighed by the fact that the property is managed by Vacasa. The check-in email they sent contained details but did not contain a check-in code; the spot where there would have been a code was blank. This meant we had no way to get into the house in the pouring rain on Friday afternoon.
When I called the number they listed on their VRBO reservation and left a message, no one answered. When I left a message through VRBO, no one replied.
Vacasa also publishes a completely separate portal apart from VRBO, making it confusing about which one to use (why list on VRBO if you can't answer guests there?). When I messaged on the Vacasa portal, I also received no response until days later, after the trip had completed. I was able to get the check-in code after four attempts, only by calling in to Vacasa's general phone line and navigating to speak with an agent. Not exactly the experience you want as a guest.
Overall, they were nonresponsive via both VRBO messaging and the listed phone number.
Second, the property was inadequately stocked with basic cleaning supplies. For example, there was one dishwasher pod for seven people over three days. I'm not sure if Vacasa understands how humans work, but that's about eight meals, each of which generate dishes. That's way more than one load of dishes. Moreover, they ask you to run the dishwasher before you leave, which means that you would have to use the dishwasher pod on that.
When I wrote in to ask Vacasa about that, they didn't respond. When I called them they said they would "look into it" but also haven't responded as of this review.
Overall, I'd be glad to stay at the property again, but this experience has made me very leery of Vacasa.

We had an amazing time. Location was great. Property was amazing. Exceeded my expectations

The property was spacious and well-appointed for our family of 13. We enjoyed having our meals on the patio, fishing from the dock, swimming in the lagoon, playing in the gameroom on our one rainy day, and having a birthday party, an engagement party and a glow dance party in the large family room. We would love to return!

The home is beautiful. Good location on the lake. We loved the large deck on the back of the house.

Second time here and although enjoyable, we reported mouse droppings found in drawers and cupboard. Took two days for pest control to arrive who set traps but no one came to clean out and sanitize drawers and items in them. Hopefully it was cleaned out for next renter. Found that overall wear and tear after one year really showed. Not as clean inside. Need to clean out some pans that are peeling non-stick coating. Location is great and fairly quiet for time of year. No wood available for fire pit and nowhere to get any..Nice dock for tying up boat and plenty of activities in game room

Spacious house with beautiful lake view. The kayaks were unusable as there were no seats. Repeated attempts to resolve the issue with the Vacasa property manager were unsuccessful. We would not have rented a lake house that didn't offer kayaks so we were disappointed with our stay given that the time of year was great for kayaking but not for other water activities.

Our 2 families to include 5 kids and 1 dog loved this home. It has all the amenities you can think of, is well maintained and stocked with baby gates, toys, life vests, water kayaks, tubes etc.
My only complaint is that there were a lot of hornets and nests under and above the deck. We did call management and they came right out to fix it although they kept coming back for some reason. It didn’t stop us from being outside but just something that should be treated for future guests.

We just returned from a 5 day stay at this property and this was our 1st time at Lake Anna. It was exactly as pictured and we were very pleased with the property and its offerings. Our group was aged 10-65 and we also had our 15 yr old Maltese with us.
I read through reviews prior to going and was curious about a couple of things that I will clarify for anyone that may be interested. The stone table on the deck is an actual table, not a firepit table. There was 1 stand up paddle board, 4 kayaks (3 single/1 double) and a 4 person pedal boat. They had some life jackets but not a huge variety in sizes and some had seen better days. If you have your own, you may consider bringing them. The yard is not steep and is easily walkable. Sometimes it’s hard to tell from pictures. There are about 4 throw blankets between the living room and downstairs treasure chest. You may want to bring additional blankets for chilly nights fireside. Coffee pot, Keurig, tea pot, toaster oven and blender all on site. Ice maker/dispenser was in good working order. No need for bag ice. Plenty of Plates and silverware for large groups. There were 4 large mixing bowls and 4 pans of varying sizes. Lots of pots. Hand soaps and mini toiletries provided in all bathrooms. I would bring extra TP and paper towel. Living room fireplace is wood burning. Firewood not provided. We Had a hard time finding firewood. Places that would usually have it by now, did not have any supply. We eventually had luck at Lake Anna market which is about 15 minutes away. We didn’t use the grill and so I am unsure if propane was in there as the grill was covered , but there was a propane can sitting outside of the grill. Perhaps it was a back up which would’ve been nice. This house is at least 15 minutes from Food Lion, Dollar General etc. No fast food/pizza delivery or anything like that close to this property. We brought everything with us, but some may find that inconvenient.
We really liked this house a lot and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. The only slight downside was the musty smell in game room. I had 2 kids sleeping down there and I felt a little bad about that but they didn’t seem to mind at all.
Enjoy your stay!

The house and location are fantastic, and we highly recommend. The 4 star review is prompted by two frustrating communication issues with Vacasa. I am sharing so others have correct information. We were told there is no keurig so we did not bring k - cups but did find upon arrival there was a unit in the kitchen. We were also told (the day before our arrival when I called to verify towels) we needed our own linens as Vacasa's records were marked as 'linens not provided'. That information was corrected via a text message we received 4 hours prior to check-in. Unfortunately we were already in route and had spent the prior day frantically gathering/ purchasing/ borrowing linens of all sizes for the various beds. Overall, not a reflection on the house and enjoyed our stay.
