About this cottage rental

Renovated in 2017, and updated design in 2022 and 2024, Blue Oak Cottage is charming but with modern amenities. Nestled on a quaint tree-lined street, the cottage is conveniently situated a few blocks walking distance from Donnelly Street and downtown Mount Dora. The cottage is pet-friendly and fully furnished: 650 sq ft of living space featuring a well-appointed kitchen, dining nook, full sized washer and dryer, living room, 1 bedroom, and 1 bath. Outdoor space includes a 200 sq ft screened-in porch with furniture and a separate, paved patio with chairs and a charcoal grill. Bicycles on property are for guests’ use. A queen-sized bed and fold-out couch can accommodate up to 4 guests. Owner lives on-site, in main home.

--Cottage Amenities--
Free Wi-Fi and streaming television service with a variety of channels, including Netflix. Additional features include centralized ac/heat, tank-less water heater, and air purifier. Full sized Washer and Dryer come with complimentary detergent/dryer sheets.

--Kitchen Amenities--
Stocked pantry and an an assortment of complimentary coffee/tea with associated accoutrements. Renovated Kitchen features tiled floor, quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances (refrigerator, oven, microwave, and dishwasher), blender, toaster, and various cooking utensils.

--Bathroom Amenities--
Initial complimentary toiletries, including toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The entirely new Bathroom features tiled floor, a walk-in shower, towels, and hairdryer.

--Living and Bedroom Amenities--
The Living Room features refinished hardwood floors, a fold-out sofa that can accommodate 2 guests, chair with pouf ottoman for lounging, and a television. The Bedroom features a queen-sized bed, television, iron and ironing board, robes, and luggage valets.

This was our third stay at this adorable cottage, and it just keeps getting better! Our hosts, Teresa and Todd do everything they can to make sure our stay is as enjoyable as possible. The cottage is so comfortable and cozy and is decorated beautifully. And as for amenities, they have thought of EVERYTHING! If you’re looking for something, they’ve provided it. As for location, the cottage is just a short walk into downtown Mount Dora and all the shops and dining, yet it’s tucked away on a quiet residential street in a peaceful neighborhood. The large screened patio is a wonderful place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee in the evening or a glass of wine or a meal. This is a place that we will return to time after time and we highly recommend this beautiful cottage for your stay in Mount Dora!

Wonderful, cozy and exceptionally clean cottage. Everything furnished you would need. The owners were extremely nice and went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as it was. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND staying at this wonderful Cottage which is located 5 minutes to downtown Mount Dora.

This was our first time to Mount Dora and we were just getting away for the weekend and looking for a place to stay. This unit is an amazing unit with a close proximity to downtown as well as several restaurants. The owners Todd & Teresa had the unit set up with everything you might need and even some that you didn't know that you need. The unit is clean, nice sized, well decorated, and very comfortable. From the unit it was and easy walk to anything in town so we pretty much parked our car and didn't use it until we left. If and when we go back to Mount Dora we would definitely go back here again if the unit is available.

Everything about this property was perfect! The attention to detail was unbelievable. Everything you could possibly need or want was at your disposal. Loved the adorable town of Mount Dora- downtown was in easy walking ( or biking) distance. Great restaurants and breweries( with some impressive live music) all close by! Thank you so much for sharing your lovely cottage with us- it was such a fun anniversary weekend!

The cottage was clean, nicely decorated, well stocked with everything you would need. We have used VRBO for years and this was at the top of our list. It is so adorable and perfect for a couple. It is close to historic Mt. Dora with restaurants, bars and shopping. Teresa and Todd are great hosts. They provided us with so much information prior to our arrival. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others.

The hosts have created the perfect cozy cottage setting for your stay in My. Dora. The cottage is immaculate with everything you need and everything you need is easy to find. So organized and even had the cutest little decorated Christmas tree to add to the spirit of the season.

What a lovely stay at the cottage. Super clean and everything we needed and more! Tags on cabinets made it very easy to find things. Used the bikes, which were very well maintained, to ride downtown. We also walked as well which was only about half a mile away. Owners went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed and no detail was missed. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

The cottage was perfect. Very clean and comfortable. These owners thought of everything you could possibly need to enjoy your stay and spared no expense from the plush bath towels to the gourmet tea and snack bars, to the extra phone charger. The location was also fabulous - safe convenient parking just steps from the cottage and a short walk to everything in downtown Mt Dora. The hosts were also exceptionally communicative. I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay.

I've stayed at a lot of VRBO properties and this was one of the best. They paid a lot of attention to details - great shower with nice & abundant towels, fully stocked kitchen with all the spices, 2 A/C's & a Dehumidifier, tags and instructions for everything. The small things make a big difference and these Hosts paid great attention to all the details. The cottage was very clean and comfortable and in a great location, just a few minutes to downtown. I loved how they used a digital lock for entry & exit - no keys needed. Their communications via email were excellent and we didn't need to contact anyone. Kudo's to a great Host!!!

The cottage was adorable. It is extremely clean and well kept. Having a large shower instead of a tub is a huge plus. The owners have left everything you might need and more in the cottage. They are very easy to communicate with also. It is a perfect location close to downtown Mount Dora and the springs. I would highly recommend staying here. It is lovely.

The pictures do not do this place justice. EVERYTHING & i mean EVERYTHING in this place was SO NICELY put together! I could not think of one thing that would make it better. Its a GREAT location to all the shops. My boyfriend and i had a 4 min bike ride to a delicous breakfast spot, the rental itself was just perfect from the designs, the functions, appliances, attention to detail... all was wonderful!

We can’t say enough wonderful things about our recent stay at Blue Oak Cottage! We have stayed here previously and we wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Mount Dora. Hosts Teresa and Todd have made this fantastic cottage into a homey, comfortable retreat in every way possible. They have thought to include everything you could think of to make your stay a perfect one. The cottage is spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated with a large kitchen with all the amenities and a huge outdoor screened patio for dining or just hanging out! My husband and I stayed a few days for our anniversary. It was not only clean and inviting, but the owners created an atmosphere with so many unexpected details that it made our stay even more pleasant than we expected. Blue Oaks Cottage was a perfect oasis. It supplied everything we needed and more. The bed was very comfortable and the screened in porch was a great addition. The lighting from the lanterns at night gave the porch an inviting feeling. I would definitely stay there again.

Came here with my Aunt for 2 nights during the spring craft festival . It was less than a mile to walk to downtown. Everything in the cottage was perfect! Lots of “extras” and very clean. Teresa was quickly responsive to any questions. Check in & out was seamless .
