Panoramic, unspoiled and unique are just a few adjectives that describe the view from this stunning villa.

There are not many places where you will witness the perfection of nature and its range of colors. You will be served in terms of tranquility as there are no houses in front of you and not a single sound of road traffic: Here nature seems to rule for a change and the sound of the ever present toucans, tropical birds, monkeys will remind why you chose Manuel Antonio as one of the best destinations in the world. It may sound as if you are far from everything but a realistic 8 min drive to the beach or national park is hardly a price to pay for such tranquility and beauty. Located on the exclusive El Salto Estate of Manuel Antonio you will enjoy the benefits of this high end gated community: Private paths for hiking and your morning exercises, security, exclusivity …
With 5000 sq feet of space, your friends or family will enjoy all areas of the villa . The spacious shaded balcony will no doubt be the main hangout area inviting you into the infinity edge pool. The kitchen & living area flow perfectly into the outside space with its comfortable loungers, outside dinning space hammock and BBQ area. How strange that the ocean breeze punctually seems to impose itself just around mid morning when you need it most ? The villa always feels fresh and breezy.
We have taken time to select the best orthopedic beds with soft cotton sheets which a villa of this type demands. Each bedroom has a king size bed, fans and AC. The lounge area is perfect with 3 comfortable sofas, a 50” Satellite TV with over 200 channels. The fully equipped kitchen is open plan and occupies the center of the social area. If you decide to select the chef service option you will be spoiled with fantastic cuisine depending on your choice. We also understand that doing laundry and cleaning is not on your list during your stay which is why we will take care of that on a daily basis. Our laundry room cannot be used by guests as this is our store room too. Our staff are well trained to look after you so just relax and enjoy life ....

This was a dream home in Quepos. It was immaculate, beautifully designed and decorated and comfortable for our entire group. The house manager, Natalia, was so helpful from the time we booked through checkout. We had Chef Randy Lopez cook for us and it was the most delicious meal we had. Book this home immediately if you are coming to this area. Memorable vacation and the most amazing home to stay in.

Our family had a wonderful stay here! The house is spacious and comfortable, and the pool is lovely and clean. As a large group with little kids, we really appreciated the daily cleaning service. The biggest highlight for us was definitely the view. The photos don't do it justice. We loved watching all the wildlife that came through--monkeys, a sloth, a baby pygmy owl, and so many birds and butterflies! Naty was very quick to respond to requests and questions and helpful in coordinating activities.

Great house! Beautiful view! Wonderful pool!! A bit far from restaurants but Naty sent us delivery options, and we have a Chef cook for us 2 nights.
All our activities were coordinated by Naty & they were perfect! Overall great vacation!

We had a fabulous week at this home. Just like any home there are pros and cons!
Pros:looks just like the listing, stunning view, plenty of room, pool was great, outside dining/ seating were wonderful, house manager was so nice, and the home was very clean and pretty bug free as well. Housekeeping was there everyday to make beds, do dishes, and do your laundry if you would like. We loved that!
Cons: no TV’s in rooms, Air in the house is only on from 1:00pm- 8pm. That means the house is HOT. Each bedroom has its own AC system that stays on all the time. So you can sleep comfortably and be cool. But the rest of the house only has 1 small cooling system upstairs. So if you stay in a room that is not a suite and does not have a bathroom attached to it, then it will be so hot you won’t want to blow dry your hair at all haha. We had a chef cook breakfast for us our last day and we felt awful for her, as the air didn’t turn on till 1:00pm. It was so uncomfortable. It was sticky and sweaty to even eat our meal. So, if you have a day that you don’t go do an excursion during the morning/ early afternoon and your plan is to enjoy the house, buckle up for a hot house. And be prepared to fight over who gets a master suite with a cool bathroom area to get ready, and who doesn’t!!!!

Had a wonderful relaxing time at the villa. The views were incredible. The mountains and lush greenery surrounds you in a peaceful quiet setting.
The villa has ample space for two families (6 adults and 3 kids) both inside and out. Kids (and adults) loved the pool! All the bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortable and very clean. Very much appreciated the daily housekeeping and laundry service. Also greatly appreciate all the help that Naty provided us from booking wonderful excursions, arranging for a taxi, and having groceries delivered to the villa. She was great to communicate with and always ready to help promptly.
The villa is on a steep winding hill and a little further out from the main city center. Just something to keep in mind if you are not renting a car. It is not a walkable location, but taxi service is easily available.
We were able to see two different types of monkeys and a number of birds from the villa. Wonderful treat to see them up close.
Kitchen is well stocked with everything you may need. We had Chef Randy prepare dinner for us one night. That was also such a great treat. He came with his team and took care of everything from prep to clean up. The variety of dishes on the menu satisfied all 9 of our varying tastes. Everything was delicious.

Our stay here was better than we could have ever imagined. Natalie made everything so easy and convenient. We will be back!

Beautiful, private, spacious villa with wonderful views, a well stocked kitchen, and a great infinity pool! What added to our stay was the special care given to us by Natalia, the property manager, who was a wealth of information for us, and helped us Arrange some of our activities while in Quepos.
One of our party had the Merlin app on his phone, and by attaching a little speaker to his phone and playing some of the pre-recorded calls and sounds of birds, we were able to draw in toucans, Scarlett McCaws, And other birds. We were visited at least twice by Costa Rica spider monkeys.
Our daily made service was remarkable! The rooms and entire villa were left spotless each day. She even washed, dried and folded our laundry while we were out playing.
While there, we truly appreciated the services of Pablo Turel, a professional chef through whom we coordinated several of our meals. We came away from our experience with an understanding that chef services, for at least part of the week, are essential to an excellent experience Overall.
Casa El Salto is a wonderful place to stay. We hope to consider it again on our next trip to the land of. Pura Vida!

A very private property with a large deck with amazing views and a pool that everyone loved. The house manager Naty was amazing and helped us plan and then pre-booked all our daily excursions, the Chef, grocery deliveries and shuttles.
We were thrilled to see the squirrel monkeys, a sloth, toucans, and iguanas that lived on the property. It was a perfect vacation spot.

I’ve stayed in countless house rentals and this was far and away the best of all of them. Natalia was so incredibly helpful as the property manager answering all of our many many questions. The space is gorgeous - the fotos don’t do it justice. We saw birds every day from toucans to owls and were visited by sloths. I can’t recommend this place enough and cannot wait to come back again with the family, including our two young kids.

We were four couples who stayed for nine nights. The villa was perfect for our group as we all had our own bathroom. The villa itself is awesome, with a fabulous kitchen, beautiful outdoor space and the infinity pool overlooking the jungle was a great place to spend time. The only thing I would say that would make it better is having the air conditioning come on in the main house earlier. It doesn’t come on till 1:00 and it was super hot while we were there. Now on to the people. Naty, the house manager was fantastic answering all of our questions quickly. She booked all of our fabulous tours and gave us many recommendations. She greeted us on check in and said goodbye when we left. Tamara the housekeeper was a gem. She cleaned up and even did our laundry which was a fantastic treat. She was a lovely addition and a lovely person. And last but not least is Chef Randy. We planned to have him cook a few nights but after our first meal booked him for six nights. The food was incredible and fresh. Randy and his assistants Chef Michael and Chef Carla were super friendly. It was so lovely to come home to an amazing meal and I highly recommend Chef Randy. We had a great holiday and the villa was awesome! Would book again in a heartbeat!

Four couples stayed in this gorgeous home in the jungle of Quepos. We each had our own private bedroom and bathroom.
This home is huge, comfortable and convenient to food markets, restaurants and the beach!
Having the pool was ideal since the weather was so hot.
Naty, the property Mgr met us upon arrival and was quick to answer any questions and book tours. She returned the morning we left to send us off.
One highlight staying at this property was having daily cleaning and clothes washed by Tamara. She, too, was a lovely person. We developed 2 new memorable friendships.
Our trip to Costa Rica was fabulous! We will return and stay here!!

This was a wonderful home. Well stocked with dish and glassware as well as a few basic spices. February is a perfect time to go here—dry season and mid 80’s each day. Nestled in the jungle high up on a hill, the views from our pool deck were outstanding. The birds and other wildlife were highly visible from our house— it was amazing! The house manager was so helpful—arranging excursions, grocery delivery, private chef and drivers to take us wherever we needed to go. House location was secluded, serene and private, but this is exactly what we wanted for this trip. It is about 2.5 hours from San Jose airport and the house manager made the arrangements for transport—private, comfortable extended van to transport our group of 8. There was daily housekeeping, and she did our laundry each day so no need to bring so many clothes. There is a beach concierge service as well and we used this—allowed us to have a beach day when we wanted a break from our infinity pool. The house manager was extremely responsive via WhatsApp and made herself available to talk with me on the phone before we came. Many of the service providers took credit cards but preferred USD cash so keep that in mind when you go. It’s difficult to think of anything to improve on but would have been nice to have some chairs on the decks outside the bedrooms—the sunrises were incredible so would have liked to sit on the decks right outside the bedrooms. This was a great place—highly recommend!

This house is everything as stated in previous reviews. However, the air conditioning and electricity should not be on a timer or controlled at the discretion of the owner! This region of Costa Rica is VERY hot and humid. Renters should be able to look forward to relaxing in a cool environment when arriving back at the rental home vs. A/C and all electricity being turned off when leaving for the day. Example: if you have a morning tour or event and arrive back before 1pm, the main living area is smoldering hot until the AC comes on at 1pm. Main living area AC unit is on a timer. All other rooms are hot as well because electricity shuts off when leaving the home. The only option a renter has for AC before 1pm is private bedrooms, and it's really boring to sit downstairs in a bedroom. If you decide or need to stay at the home for the day, there is no AC upstairs until 1pm, per the owner's timer. Locals may be used to the heat but this is a great inconvenience for tourists! The owner should not control renters comfort level or schedule.

This house was perfect for our group of ten to spend five nights immersed in nature while being pampered in luxury accommodations. Highlights included lounging by the pool in the afternoon, watching the monkeys play on the porch, listening to the macaws, and enjoying the incredible views.
The concierge, Naty, was extremely helpful in arranging transportation, excursions and grocery delivery. We visited Manuel Antonio with Enderson, the most passionate and joyful guide in the park! And we had the adventure of a lifetime canyoning down waterfalls and zip lining with Quepos Canyoning.
Tamara kept the house clean and did our laundry, even changing her schedule to accommodate a special request.
If we had to choose our favorite part of the trip it would be dinners prepared by Chef Randy and Michael. They cooked authentic Costa Rican meals for us, including vegetarian options, so we could relax and enjoy long evenings together at the house.
Highly recommend this house — five star service and five star views!

What an amazing property!! Wonderful views and a beautiful pool. The house manager Natalia was very helpful and responsive. She arranged transportation for our entire trip and excellent tours. Chef Luz cooked amazing dinners. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool watching the toucans, macaws, and monkeys. We felt very secure in the gated community. Conveniently located between Quepos and Manuel Antonio. Lots of room, well stocked kitchen and very clean. Our family loved this house! Thanks to Natalia, Chef Luz and Tamara!

My wife and I recently stayed here with our four children and their spouses. We all LOVED this house. It is very nice and looks exactly like the pictures. Naty made our check in process easy and Tamara was there every other day to do laundry and clean up. It is centrally located in Manuel Antonio between the park and Quepos. The views from the deck are outstanding. One of the highlights of our stay was having Randy and Carla come make us dinner for 6 nights. It was so amazing we would look forward to coming back for dinner nightly. You will not regret hiring Randy as a chef. Also, If you’re feeling adventurous hike down to El Salto falls and take a jump. What a vacation.

This property is very beautiful and well maintained and appointed. The bedrooms are large and comfortable. They are also air conditioned with individual units so guests can adjust to their comfort.
Four bedrooms are on the lower level of the house. The room with the queen bed and futon is accessed via sliding glass doors. They have curtains for privacy. There are two balconies on this level but unfortunately no chairs on them.
The kitchen and living room are on the upper level. This level is very large, open and well furnished. The kitchen is very well stocked for cooking.
The upper level has an open atrium design to the lower level and the area is not air conditioned. There are ceiling fans and sliding glass doors open on both sides to allow for nice cross breezes. It was not an issue for us that the area was not air conditioned.
The fifth bedroom is separate from the main house across the outdoor deck. It has an en-suite bathroom.
The pool and outside area is gorgeous! Plenty of spaces to relax in both shade and sun.
Lots of bird activity to see from the deck - I suggest bringing a pair of binoculars for the best views.
There are also plenty of iguanas around the property and one afternoon we were visited by a large group of adorable monkeys.
The house manager, Natalia, is great! I strongly recommend having her coordinate your excursions.
There is also a housekeeper, Tamara. She is fantastic!
She cleans and does your laundry.
This is a great house for a group!

The pictures don't do the house justice, and the pictures are pretty great. This house is amazing! The kitchen is well stocked, the pool is beautiful, the beds are comfortable, the towels are plentiful for bathing and the beach... and Thanksgiving Day football on satellite! What else do you need?
We had visits from virtually every animal on our wish list except a sloth... from toucans to macaws to squirrel monkeys, you'll see it all just sitting on the patio poolside with an Imperial in your hand.
The layout was perfect for a multi generational family. The older in-laws don't navigate stairs so well, and the room on the main level by the pool was perfect for them. Two adults and two kids had the run of the main house with plenty of room to spread out.
Naty is the house manager and she is perhaps the most responsive host I've ever had on VRBO. She coordinated well in advance with us and checked in with us several times during our stay to make sure all was well. One maintenance issue was handled promptly. She will book any tour you want - if you haven't booked them already, just ask her. I did it backwards and already had activities booked before i booked the house.
The maid service is great. Tamara kept the house spotless and did laundry for us every day of our stay (except Sunday). Another level of hospitality you don't get in your average VRBO.
Use the chef! Chef Luz cooked for us two nights and her food was exceptional!
Really can't recommendthisplaceenough

I can’t say enough great things about this rental. First, recommend the house concierge book every thing for you. natalia was fantastic! She booked our tours, transportation, and connected us with the taxi service. We had a house chef, which i highly recommend. The house is amazing. Pool view..5 stars. AC in bedrooms perfecto. We saw monkeys, toucans, and lots a different birds in the morning. Sunrise and sunset…beautiful. Housekeeping staff was grear, washed our clothes for us! Short ride to Manuel Antonio, Marina or Quepos. We took a walk every morning (hills) and enjoyed breakfast on the porch. The home does have stairs, bedrooms down everything else up. There is a bathroom upstairs, and one bedroom. I can only say we will be back, fell in love with Costa Rica and her people.

The house was great: gorgeous views where we saw toucans and monkeys, kids used the pool every day, and plenty of room with 5 bedrooms
But what made our experience such a highlight was the house manager, Natalia and the private chef, Randy.
House manager: Groceries were set up as soon as we arrived and Natalia helped us arrange all of the transportation and tours. Natalia is super responsive. Most queries she answers within minutes.
Private chef: Randy's cooking was amazing. We had better than restaurant quality breakfast and dinners every night. Randy's mahi mahi was more tender than I've had anywhere in the world and the other meals were just as amazing.
All in all, it was a highlight of our trip to Costa Rica!

Our stay was absolutely amazing!!!! Based on all the amazing reviews I had read, I had really high expectations and I was not disappointed at all. Rooms & beds were super comfortable. All rooms had A/C units, main living area does not but it was bearable (just leave sliding doors open with screens closed so the bugs don’t get in). The mountain view from all over the house was incredible, watching the sun rise over the mountains was my favorite thing to do in the morning. Pool was amazing, perfect temperature and so refreshing after a day of activities. The wildlife we saw from the house was so cool!! Monkeys, toucans, big birds - we saw it all right from our porch.
Let me also mention Natalia (house manager) and Tamara (housekeeper) - they were both exceptional. Tamara left everything clean and even did our laundry and left it all nice and folded for us. Natalia was AMAZING! From the day I booked the house, she was already reaching out to me asking how she could help book any tours, etc. Any time I would reach out to her, either via email or WhatsApp, she would respond within minutes, sometimes seconds. She arranged to have groceries delivered to the house, booked all of our excursions, I can’t say enough about how great Natalia was!
Also – we booked Chef Roberto every night while we were there, highly recommend using him at least once…..everything he cooked was fresh and delicious and he was a pleasure to interact with!
Don't hesitate and book your stay here!!!

The house is gorgeous and super clean, even better in person than the pictures. The view is incredible and we were visited by toucans and woodpeckers every morning. Beds were big and mattresses were soft. Great showers too! Natalia, the Concierge, very sweet, and provided excellent customer service and took great attention to our transportation, excursion, grocery, chef dinner and family picture needs. Our trip was easy and relaxing and we didn’t have to worry about details because it was taken care of by Natalia. Housekeeper Tamara was amazing too! Cleaned the house and pool and was super efficient. We will return to Costa Rica and plan to stay at this same house! It’s spectacular and our vacation couldn’t have been any better. Book this place now!

Party of 7 - 4 adults and 3 teens
I know the pics online are great, but they still don’t do this place justice. Upon first walking into the house and seeing the views from the doorway, I think my jaw dropped to the floor. I’ve travelled to and stayed at many places, but this was by far the best. We saw tons of squirrel monkeys, toucans, coatimundi and an adorable lizard/monitor that visited every day who the kids named Joseph.
Nasty, the concierge, was amazing! We sent her a grocery list ahead of time and she had the groceries in the fridge upon our arrival. She also scheduled a park tour for us and set us up with Chef Roberto for two nights. I can’t say enough good things about Chef Roberto and his incredible food. Our biggest regret is that we ordered pizza our first night in town, rather than having Chef Roberto there. Seriously, we paid $174 for 4 pizzas and 3 salads and $305 (cost of groceries and the service itself), plus tip for Chef Roberto. The chef service included an appetizer, main course and dessert, all prepared in the home and served to us as if we were in a restaurant. And everything was cleaned up by the time we were finished eating. Everyone in our group absolutely raved about the food. Best deal in town, in my opinion!
Additionally, there’s a very sweet girl who comes to clean every day and she even did our laundry, which was so awesome and greatly appreciated at that point in our trip since we all tried to pack rather lightly.

From the views to the Concierge Naty, everything was great.

From the minute you walk in, the view just takes your breath away! Just spectacular! This luxurious home is everything and more. Plenty of space for our 2 families (3 teens and one 7 year old). The balconies and pool/deck areas overlooking the trees were a perfect spot for coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening. The kitchen is well appointed. Natalie the concierge was very communicative and helpful in planning activities and arranging a private chef Roberto to come to the house to cook dinner (highly recommend!). The beds were very comfortable and having AC in the bedrooms made for a very restful sleep. We loved it here so much we did not want to leave. The location is great too. Close enough for a short drive to town but feels like you are a world away in the wild rainforest. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Stunning views in great location. Only down side at all is that there is no AC in main living area and kitchen. It can really get hot upstairs.

Everything was just as advertised. Million dollar view, fabulous pool, clean house, beds comfortable, concierge service was excellent, maid service was excellent. Highly recommend! All communications were clear and prompt. Our group of 8 was extremely satisfied and pleased with this house, location and staff!

We stayed for 10 glorious day and the house was beautiful!
We sat out on the west deck during the morning and watched toucans, vulture, macaws and monkeys on their daily treks. The pool was the highlight of our group as we spent most of our time at the house in infinite wonder. A couple of our people saw anteaters on the drive down to the main road going to Quepos. We were close to restaurants and shopping. We did do a lot of our own meals as the kitchen was well appointed. Thanks to Natalia and Tamara for all they did to make our stay perfect!

My friends and I (group of 11 people) stayed at this property comfortably for 3 nights. It was incredibly clean and the property manager was incredibly responsive and helpful. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who wants a place off the beaten path with a great view.

From start to finish this was an excellent experience. The concierge Natalia made everything a breeze and handled all of the bookings for transportation, excursions, grocery delivery, you name it. The home is beautiful with the most stunning views you could ever ask for and all of the rooms are spacious and clean. We had Chef Luz come 4 nights and that was an excellent decision because she is amazing and was a joy to have and the food was perfection. I could continue gushing superlatives but the point is that if you are even considering booking something in Manuel Antonio, don’t think twice, book this!
10.0
After staying at dozens of VRBO’s we have found are favorite. Natalia was super helpful with getting us Chef Luz for our meal upon arrival, it was authentically awesome. Waking to the birds every morning while watching the sun come over the mountains was a great way to start the day. It is in between Quepos and Manuel Antoinio so the proximity to everything is easy. It is over a big hill from the main road so all you hear is nature. As fAr as activities go Natalia was super responsive and had great recommendations. Lastly, the somewhat detached master bedroom was perfect for letting the kids have the house while we retired.

This was absolutely a 5* stay! The house is perfectly situated, great views but also close to town. The 5 bedrooms were perfect for our group of 10 - 4 adults, 6 kids (13, 13, 11, 11, 7, 6). The pool was a nice respite after a day of adventure. I cannot say enough good things about Naty, Tamara and Chef Luz. They made our trip truly enjoyable. No need to worry about laundry, coordinating taxis or even our meals! On the day of arrival we had Chef Luz pre-make the meal and leave it at the villa which was very convenient. The kitchen had everything we needed to make delicious beverages and breakfasts for the kids. We didn't use the television much but it worked great when we did. The ACs in each room kept things comfortable at night. This was a magical family vacation for all of us and we truly hope to visit again! Thanks to the whole team at Casa El Salto - 17!

You will not be disappointed!! Naty will take excellent care of you! We traveled with all our adult children & grandkids. Coordinating so many details with people coming & going at different times plus everything interested in different excursions felt like a lot to manage, Naty took all the worry away & handled everything beautifully!!!
The house, views, pool all exactly as pictured or better!

This house is amazing!! It was perfect for our multigenerational family of seven. There was plenty of space for everyone, and the views from the open main living area are breathtaking. My kids spent every afternoon in the pool while my husband and I enjoyed the view of the jungle and kept an eye out for wildlife. The house manager, Natalia, was incredibly helpful. She assisted with booking all of our tours, made dining recommendations, and was available to answer questions throughout our stay. She helped make our stay a truly restful vacation! We hired chef Luz for our last night at the house and the food was incredible. I highly recommend using the chef services for at least one meal if not more. I cannot say enough good things about this house, if you are on the fence just book it. My kids are already counting down the days until we go back. Pura vida!

This home is incredible! We have traveled and stayed in many countries and throughout the US, and this trip tops them all. Natalia went above and beyond to accommodate us and very quick to respond with answers to all of our requests and questions. She booked the most amazing excursions for us. She is top notch. She and the Owner were also flexible with check-in and check-out time, which was extremely helpful. The place was immaculate and kept clean by sweet Tamara every day. She made our trip very relaxing.
Do yourself a favor and book the chefs. Luz prepared a wonderful lunch for us when we arrived. Chef Roberto and Alex prepared a an exceptional dinner that was finished off with the most amazing Bananas Flambé.
This place had all of the necessities for our stay. The home is located on a hill in a beautiful and tranquil setting. From one of the decks we viewed monkeys, Toucans and many species of birds. This is definitely the perfect place to stay in

From the moment we booked our rental, communicating with Naty the property manager was never an issue. She was timely, informative, professional and caring!!
The house is located on a dirt road and at times it was challenging to get our van going uphill so highly encourage renting a 4 wheel drive vehicle but not a requirement.
The property is beautiful, spacious and clean. The views from the back of the house are spectacular. We would wake up to tucans, hummingbirds, hawks, wood peckers and all sorts of birds and butterflies.
We also saw White Face and Squirrel monkeys a couple times and heard the Howler Mantle monkeys howling in the distance all the time.
The house is only a 15 minute drive or less to Manuel Antonio National Park. 10 minute drive to the marina in Quepos and about 6 minute drive to the town.
Tamara, the lady that takes care of the house was very nice and punctual and does a great job taking care of it.
We did spend a lot of time relaxing by the pool and used it every single day and the only thing we wished had been available were hammocks.
We recommend this place and would definetly go back.

First and foremost, our trip would not have been as good as it was without the help of "Nataley", the property's hostess. She was incredibly responsive and 100% reliable. She helped us book transportation from the airport to the property, the chefs, excursions, and even order pizza!
If you are a wine drinker, definitely bring your own wine to Costa Rica. The local grocery stores have almost no selection of bottles over $10.
Without a doubt, the best meals that we had in Costa Rica were with the in-home chef. Ask for "Randy". His culinary skills, presentation, and service were impeccable.
Our best days were with half-day excursions. We definitely appreciated the beauty of the property and the time that we were able to spend here. If you Google it, it is true; "monkey hour" is from 4 PM to 5 PM. Monkeys came right up onto the balcony. Beautiful to watch, as well as the birds and butterflies.
