Welcome to the historic Homestead at the Dripping Springs. This house is one of three available lodgings each of the three dwellings are unique to their time period, style and setting. Clara's House and Butler Cabin are all part of the Homestead at the Dripping Springs and can be reserved at the same time to sleep a total of 8 people.
They are centrally located in the Historic Mercer Street District of Dripping Springs, close to shops, wedding venues, wine trails, parks and beautiful country roads.

The newest addition to the Homestead is Willie Mae's Cottage. It is a rock and board/batten cottage with a tiled walk-in shower, large bathroom, kitchenette and breakfast nook that looks out on the large oak tree and swing. The stone used to complete the cottage was furnished from the original smokehouse on the historic property. This romantic cottage is furnished with period antiques and re-purposed wood from the community. Large side porch with rockers that overlook historic corral and ancient oak tree.

Includes free continental breakfast, flat-screen TV, WIFI, queen-sized bed, hairdryer, and a snack basket full of goodies.

Willie Mae’s cottage is absolutely charming. Convenient location with cute little downtown just steps away. Wonderful scenery nestled in the trees. Would definitely come back if down in Dripping Springs! Lovely! Thanks to the hosts for the baked bread and food! Had everything we needed!

Great clean cottage and lots of space. Overall a good experience but was a little surprised at the noise level from the Saturday night happenings close by in the small downtown area. I'm a light sleeper though, so can't really say it was anything close to a bad experience. The breakfast breads were delicious!

This is an absolute gem in the downtown area of Dripping Springs. Willie Mae's Cottage is constructed from the stones of the old smokehouse from this historical property, with a pine barrel dome ceiling and charming antique decor. The little porch looks out over the old stone corral with a huge oak tree. Explore the springs on the opposite side of the property and all of the downtown shops! The owner/ managers are absolutely the most lovely people you could meet! This was my second stay here and I will return!

Perfect little cabin, great bed, nice continental breakfast( the homemade cakes were excellent) Our granddaughters wedding was only 7 miles an away,so very convenient. Thanks for making this a great weekend!

The cottage had everything we needed from drinks and snacks to toothpaste. The best place we have stayed at in Dripping Springs. The grounds were beautiful and the location was perfect. We will definitely stay here again. Very comfortable accommodations.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this sweet cottage and will be back if we are in the area. The outdoor space was especially nice. We enjoyed sitting outside on the porch and down in the yard.

Right on Mercer Street walking distance to good food, adult beverages and shopping. Great location for surrounding things to do in area. House has sound machine which was a plus. Nice breakfast basket for stay, fruit and breakfast bread banana nut and blueberry yum.

Appreciated the breakfast bread and accommodations were clean and lovely. Felt as comfortable as being home. The hosts are so thoughtful in providing amenities and the cottage was cozy and perfect for a weekend getaway. Great location, too!

Unfortunately, I messaged the day before we were scheduled to arrive to let the hostess know that we would not be able to use our booking because of the positive Covid test for my husband. We were very disappointed as we were looking forward to the lovely cottage.

This was such a delightful and relaxing place to stay. The cottage is built from rock that was part of the old smoke house. It is roomy and faces the old rock corral around a giant oak tree. I loved sitting on the porch in the rocking chairs with guest who came to visit. This is a historical old homestead with the "Dripping Springs" on the property. Downtown Dripping Springs is a short walk with charming shops but honestly, I enjoyed the cottage more!

When we got there everything was as they said it would be. The homemade bread(yum) was ready and waiting. You can tell the property is very well cared for. It really did exceed our expectations. There is a such thing as positive energy and this place has it. It really set the tone for our Dripping Springs experience. A special thank you to Sherry and Charlie. We will be back.

We were there for my daughters wedding and the Cottage was just perfect. Beautifully decorated and the morning breakfast loaf was a wonderful touch. I would stay there again. Blue Bonnets in bloom all over the property made it even prettier.

We were in town for a wedding and this was the perfect place for a party of 2. It has a nice comfy bed and bedside tables and rocking chairs. They thought of every amenity. I changed my outfit half a dozen times so it was nice to have a full length mirror and ironing board. For a small place, it feels very spacious witb high ceilings in the main space, a big, accessible roll-in shower, and even more outdoor space. The morning bread was a nice touch too. Check-in and out was simple, and you even have your own marked parking spot. Would definitely stay again!

What an excellent place for groups going to a wedding in Dripping Springs! Historical homes located in the heart of Dripping Springs close to everything! The house we stayed in was perfect for my husband and I. Very large rooms, delicious homemade breakfast breads everyday provided with yogurt, fruit, etc. Our friends stayed in another larger house that was the original Post Office from the late 1800’s. It was perfect!

Quaint Cottage with beautiful historical finishes. They thought of everything and more. Includes continental breakfast w/freshly made bread each day, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, bagels, tea, coffee, apple juice, soft drinks, etc. We cannot say enough about it. We will be going back.
