I had to stay here for an Extended period of time. The owners were very helpful and consistent in communication. The bed is very comfortable and the shower is great! I enjoyed having the kitchen and living room space and being able to have dinner and breakfast there when I stayed! Good for the solo traveler and small groups!

Easy two night stay for a wedding weekend. Commute to downtown was easy, even on a Saturday. I wouldn’t recommend for families or long stays. The kitchen did not feel equipped for preparing meals. I only made coffee. But we did not run into any major issues.

Property about 25 min to Charleston ( thats with traffic peek time). But it was a nice place to get away from the business of downtown.Wild Olive is a great restaurant , make reservations . The distillery was cool and they have a Asian food truck. Mexican taco food truck Gallina loca is good too.

It was a little hard to find the property because the road it is on is a little dirt road out of the way. Once we found it, Sophia was great with her immediate responses and we had a nice stay with family. The VRBO property was converted from the garage of the house occupied by the owner. The big yard with privacy fence is actually the front yard.

Quaint and adorable cottage, all the necessary amenities, hosts were very attentive/responsive, easy travel/access within town/neighborhood. Overall a wonderful stay.

Very cluttered
Lets first say Stephen was very responsive in taking care of any issues we may have had. That being said let me continue with our stay. The cottage is very cluttered and electrical cords are running all over, which kinda made me nervous due to fire hazards. The only TV that worked was downstairs and was powered by Apple so if you are an android user, you will have to sign on to your own apps, although the owner did sign on to Apple with his sign on. There are post it notes everywhere with instructions. The fenced in area was great for dogs, but needed some cleanup.

More spacious than expected
Read a few reviews which scared us a little bit. The Air Conditioning worked great no limitations, plenty of AC plug outlets throughout the home, the request to put the sheets in the wash machine is understandable with Covid. Over all the place was very enjoyable quaint and centrally located to Charleston and Kiawah Island.

Hard finder
Ok BUT/not cleanliness like hotel hosting! Needs sanitary products used for guest use! Pillows were badly stained! Yuk! Floor in bathroom by toilet nasty!

Good stay
We stayed at this property due to the price/location. We were attending a wedding and the venue was only 10 minutes from the property. That being said the location is a good 20-30 minutes from beaches, historic downtown, airport, etc. which in description said everything was only 15 minutes away (of course didn't really factor in traffic). We also were able to bring our dog, which is a plus. The property itself was clean and the decor was eclectic but overall was a good stay.

Off the beaten path, but close to everything!
Our stay was really nice. They won’t was super sweet and easy to work with. The house is a fun set up and we were thrilled with the easy to use fire pit and fenced yard. Close to Folly, downtown, and Schem Creek….25-30 minutes tops from anywhere we wanted to go.

False Description/ No Communication from Owner
This was my first time using VBRO and I will probably not do it again.
This renter falsely describes the amenities that you will have (cable, wifi, stove). You will be required to do laundry that is never mentioned until you arrive and start reading the list of rules.
No cable...only Apple TV for one television downstairs. The upstairs television is not working.
Forget Wifi....WiFi.... is none. If there is, it's a BIG SECRET!!
Out of 3 outlets I plugged my phone into, none worked, so my phone died. Not sure how I was supposed to work without my phone or laptop....but again I believed the false list of amenities and the write up of the owner.
A baby gate that we did not need but couldn't leave open.
A renter that never once answered any of my messages that I sent. This should have been the biggest RED FLAGS but I believed what someone wrote....driving up to the house it really doesn't resemble the picture she uses., so another red flag.
Needless to say, I didn't go on vacation to do 2 or 3 loads of laundry on the day I am leaving. So we left and found a hotel that gave us breakfast, cable wifi and a password, and did not require doing laundry. And answered all my questions without a problem.
Sadly, I am out $700.00 because I believed someone and what they wrote and then spent more money for another place to stay but at least we had a great vacation!!!

Really convenient for our needs!
Sophia was an attentive host throughout our stay. The house is situated at the end of a very quiet street with woods surrounding the back yard. Several places to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. While there is an area to sleep downstairs, we spent all our time upstairs where the kitchen was. Bed was very comfortable as well. Planning to stay again when we visit our family nearby.

Great Cottage House
The house was great. Had all the amenities you could need. Location is off the beaten path, which is exactly what I was looking for. Quiet. Had my doggo with me. They had a great yard for him to run around in. The host was incredibly easy to communicate with and made us feel right at home.

Never again
Was very clean. But beds weren’t at all comfortable. They were full size. Plus they need to update the photos. Was no real living room. Was very dissatisfied

May getaway!
Poppy and Sophia were super easy to deal with, the cottage was just what we were looking for. Super private and quiet neighborhood. 25 minutes to kiawah beach walker park and 20 minutes to downtown. We travel to Charleston a ton and have never seen a week with such low humidity. Incredible 10 day stay, will definitely rent the cottage again

Cute, Secluded and Clean, BUT ...
Cute property. Secluded and quiet location. Clean and nicely decorated. Beds are very high, uncomfortable and loudly squeaky with every movement. HVAC has a governor limiting the temperature, hence, the upstairs where you need to cook and has one bedroom was beastly hot in the afternoon (80+) and took hours to reduce to 74 degrees which was inadequate and uncomfortable for sleeping. No where on the website does it indicate that a Roku or Firestick is necessary to utilize the one television on the property. If you don't bring one, you must go out and purchase one. For a property of this price range, working television and devices necessary to watch programming (the ONE TV was neither smart nor able to connect to wi-fi) and an air conditioning system that actually cools the house is an absolute MUST. The property manager was away for the weekend and left a very sweet and kind individual in charge, but while trying to be helpful, was unfortunately not able to answer questions. I would NOT come back to this property unless changes were made to the bedding, HVAC and television.

This home is so cute. The owner has outdone herself. The kitchen has everything you need.
Renting this property was effortless and they are extremely accomodating. The only this I wish there was a tv in both bedrooms. If I am every back in that area a rent again.

Perfect Getaway
We were so impressed with this property. The location is right close to most places whether it’s Charleston, Kiawah Island, public beaches, etc. The property has two queen beds, one upstairs with kitchen and dining area, and the other downstairs. Both floors have full baths. The kitchen has all the amenities you would need. Just bring food. The entire property, inside and out was very clean and decorated. We had the opportunity to meet the owners who are very nice and wanted to be sure everything was OK. We will definitely be staying here again when we head over that way. We highly recommend this property! Thank you.....

Given the all of the issues with the weather, everyone was wonderful and great to work with. I would come back again!

Had a great stay!
Had a great stay. Property was very clean, cozy & comfy. Very quiet. Located on Johns Island near many great restaurants on Maybank Hwy. Sophia was easy to get in touch with for any questions we had. About a 10-15 minutes drive to downtown Charleston. Enjoyed our stay!
