Stunning architecture and gardens, very friendly staff and great food and drinks at the restaurant.
Hotel work to install solo at panels meant cutting down trees which impacted the tranquility of the garden
9.0 / 10.0
The hotel is in an excellent location, minutes from the centre of Franschhoek and offers an excellent shuttle service to guests at no extra charge. The facilities at the hotel are exceptional, with beautiful gardens and two outdoor pools. The restaurant on site is an added bonus!

Breakfast was awesome! The staff and the service was outstanding! Ben has got to be one of the most friendly, helpful and accommodating Managers ever, who is always on hand to help you with all your needs!
Bonnie, Robin, Angus they were all just great. We couldn't have asked for more! Will be back for sure!

I liked the design of the place and the attention to detail
The electricity turns off suddenly for long times, in addition to the lack of variety in the breakfast

Beautiful property, idyllic backdrop with the mountains, very laid back with an old world charm.
The staff were so helpful and the food in the restaurant was great too.
Nothing to report.

Beautiful property with lovely views and great breakfast.
Blinds in the passage, next to the bathroom, not functional. Bathroom very spacious, but no rugs, only small bath mats - very cold. Very bright light in bathroom - not adjustable. Bed rather hard. Room needs to be updated with modern plugs to charge mobile devices.

It was nice and everything was offered which can be expected. presentation of the buffet table can be more attractive and trendy
The hotel's decor is outdated with 20 years. They need to revamp.

Excellent location and a very good shuttle service to restaurants/town centre.
Super helpful staff all round. Fantastic WhatsApp system.
Very good breakfast.
Rooms were a fantastic layout and extremely large. Even bigger than the photos show.
Decor and fixture/fittings dated.

10/10! We will absolutely stay again on our next trip to South Africa. The hotel is stunning, and the staff are so helpful, they even have a free shuttle to take you to any restaurant/wine farm nearby

The location was superb, just a little way outside of the town so it was quiet and restful. I loved the pool, loungers, umbrellas and drinks/food at the poolside. The breakfast was excellent.

We spent 4 days of our honeymoon at this wonderful hotel and couldn't be happier. The room was so clean and comfy, the pool was luxurious, the staff are the most kind and helpful you could ask for, the view from our balcony over the pool was bliss. The breakfast was truly delicious and the couples massages were amazing. And the location is great for getting to the wine tram. We absolutely loved every minute of our stay, thank you!
It wasn't an issue for us, but the hotel is slightly closer to the road than we realised but this didn't interrupt our stay at all.

Every member of staff was warm, friendly & well trained in their job which shows the owners respect the value of retaining staff. It makes such a difference to the guest experience.
Excellent massages from Anna-marie.
Lovely to have a heated (hot) pool & normal pool.
Beautiful grounds with rosemary, lavender & scented roses.
Dinner at Monneaux was good in a town of great restaurants.
I was well looked after for my birthday dinner.
Shuttle bus into town a a lovely bonus.
Unfortunately the AC unit in our room (3) had gremlins which meant we had to move due to the noise on our return from dinner to a slightly less well appointed room.
No kettle in the room only a Nespresso machine which is good for tea. But the was quickly sorted out.

lovely location and well presented rooms and property. all the drivers were excellent and helpful as was reception
breakfast was a bit haphazard particularly when there was a large party that all arrived together

Staff were super nice and friendly.
Location, despite Franschhoek is a really beautiful place, the hotel itself doesn't have nice views of Franschhoek. The hotel has a nice garden and heated outdoor pool which is a bonus, but it missing the view. Not worth paying so much money without a nice view.

Great location just out of the town but the hotel were more than happy to run us into the town for our event. Stunning views from this hotel. After a first night hiccup with the room almost immediately and without any fuss kindly sorted out by Kyle one of the managers, everything else was truly amazing, especially the room and more importantly (to us anyway), the Staff were wonderful from Kyle as previously mentioned to our favorite host and hostess at the restaurant Nerbert & Lizette, who were just a joy, even if Lizette seemed permanently cold :-) They really couldn't do enough for us and the same goes to Bonita in Housekeeping. They were all smiles and attentive throughout our stay and this hotel is most definitely one we will stay at again on our next visit. A real touch of luxury, with pristine gardens. Can't recommend this place highly enough.
Nothing that wasn't sorted out almost immediately by Kyle
