Our stay at the Doulos Phos The Ship Hotel was nothing short of remarkable. Nestled in a unique location, this hotel offers an unparalleled experience that blends nautical charm with luxurious comfort. The fact that it holds a place in the Guinness Book of Records adds an extraordinary touch to the stay, making it not just a hotel visit but a part of history. The cabins are beautifully appointed, combining the quaint essence of ship life with modern amenities, ensuring a comfortable and memorable stay. However, what truly sets Doulos Phos apart is its crew. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure guests feel welcomed and valued. Their attention to detail and genuine care enhance the overall experience, making it a must-visit destination for those seeking a blend of history, luxury, and warm hospitality.
The food, although tasty, could have benefited from higher quality and a more extensive menu selection to cater to a wider range of palates. Similarly, the breakfast options, though satisfactory, were somewhat limited and could be expanded to offer a more fulfilling start to the day. Despite these points, dining with a view of the sea was an absolute delight, adding a special touch to the meals and enhancing the overall culinary experience.

I just returned from a 2 nights stay on the Duolos Pho Ship hotel with my family of 5 and we had a really great time. The ship hotel is beautifully renovated and the rooms were modern, clean and comfortable. I had 2 rooms, including a family room with balcony view and the view overlooking the sea was lovely.
The staff were all very attentive and friendly. Special mention to John who was so helpful and made the stay extra special for us
The hotel is a short ride from the BBT ferry terminal and is surrounded by the sea with lovely views and breeze throughout the day.
Only one restaurant is open at present and not all the facilities are available. I had the buffet breakfast at the restaurant and while it was not a wide selection, it was adequate.
Overall, I would highly recommend staying here if you would like a nice place to chill, relax and enjoy a glorious sunset.

Staff was amazing and friendly. I called housekeeping at 2am to change some sheets I accidentally dirtied and he was extremely enthusiastic, quick, and polite about it despite it being very late at night

The restaurant services need to be improved.

You get to stay on an actual (albeit decommissioned) ship.
Fixtures and room designs seems a little bit dated. Breakfast choice was a little underwhelming.

Small selection, but tasty.
I think they should cater general dishes for all kinds of tourists.

The quality of stay itself has surpassed the price we paid, definitely worth recommending to my friends.
The stay inside a 100yo ship itself is romantic for couple like us, and what's more we were managed to watch and capture one of the best sunsets in the island (shown in the photo).
The service quality of the staff is way beyond what a 5-star hotel could offer. Here they serve with passion instead of merely following the SOP outlined by hotel management. There is a free heritage tour to visit the historical sites inside the ship, we really enjoyed the tour thanks to the passionate tour guide (shown in the photo). There is a video circulated online about a Singaporean guest berated the hotel staff, we felt sad and unfair for them being treated this way.
We were happy about the room, facility, cleanliness, free breakfast and outside view, it is such a hidden gem.
Pricey food considering it's luxurious hotel, but taste not bad.
Less accessible by transport (grab, gojek etc). The hotel does offer private transport service, but the price is at the higher end.

Breakfast was great, balcony is very spacious with sea view, free heritage tour for hotel guess
Transportation is a problem, there is no Grab and car/bike rental, have to call taxi everytime if you travel free & easy. No restaurants and bars nearby, we had a hard time to find nice food outside the hotel. (be careful of the wet floor outside toilet, it can be very slippery)

Don't expect a super big spread for breakfast during the weekdays. But it was more than enough -- it was filling, had a good course every morning and they are even nice enough to pack your leftovers for you to consume later on. We did have a great buffet during the weekends!
We were there for 4D3N, during one of the nights our wifi went out for a few hours. But the staff got to fixing it even at 10pm and they managed to resolve the issue for us.

this hotel is decorated based on a ship Doulos phos. The view is perfect even though it was a bit rainy these days.

The unique setting - where else can you sleep in a piece of naval history? The staff was extremely helpful and accomodating. It was obvious how dedicated they are to the guests and their unique workplace. Every day, the fresh towels were arranged like a work of art.
The food in the restaurant was above average, but not 5 star quality. Room service was not available.

The character of the hotel was good and it's uniqueness made it stand-out. The tour was exceptional and super interesting.
There was little shade by the pool making it difficult to relax there. No choice other than eating and dining in the restaurant; a snack selection at front desk would be a terrific addition. A shuttle service to Treasure Bay would be handy.

Nostalgic and once in a lifetime opportunity to stay here
the internal facilities such as entertainment, music, party lounges need to improve as it was deserted when we booked

Super original and the location next to the ferry makes it a great choice for a short getaway.
The tour to know more about the ship was fun.
The staff is great and super helpful.
It feels like the hotel is still lacking a few amenities and a bit of work to reach its full potential. Like a fancier dining option and a liquor licence (they only served softs and beers).
But itโs a great place and I would definitely recommend it.

Very unique experience in board of the 100 years old ship. A great lot of original details and overall style very well preserved.
Good menu-based breakfast and overall decent restaurant serving freshly prepared local style cuisine.
Extremely attentive staff going over their heads to provide the best possible service, they got us an early check-in with a free room upgrade.
Cool swimming pool. It was also almost completely empty which allowed us to have it just for ourselves.
As the hotel is still recovering from COVID, a lot of things are missing. The pool bar is closed, as well as a little shop in the lobby. You can easily walk to the nearby ferry terminal but it has a reduced number of options as well. In general there's nothing much to do in the hotel, just swimming in a pool and enjoying the sun (which was exactly what we came for). Although it would be great to have an option to swim in the sea as well.
I would say that the room was not as clean as I would like to see it, and the daily cleaning is only provided by request.
You can also see that some of the things are not yet fully complete - for example, swimming pool area looks like there should have been something extra build there.
I do hope that the management will not abandon the project as I see a great potential in it. Hopefully we will visit again sometime and see how it will improve.

The location and the concept of the hotel. The property was cool
The food was not at all upto the mark and the service also needs improvement

Love the room (3-pin head plug, no USB port charging), and the pool, and love the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The food was kind of pricey but glad that we included breakfast for our stay, was value for money, and came with dessert, we turned up every day for it.
Limited stuff to do during the stay. Will prefer room cards for 2 rather than a room key for 1 pax. External of the hotel looks slight dusty and rusty.
