The castle is neat to see and explore
The staff at the breakfast buffet is very snippy and rude. The "fine" dining is a joke. The room was so small you could barely walk around the bed without bumping something. The staff mostly ignores you.....trying to carry our baggage in the rain and the man on the golf cart just ignored us and drove past instead of helping with the luggage (mind you, you must walk.uphill 300 meters to get to the reception).

Everything was perfect! An absolutely delightful place to experience.

It was absolutely magical! The staff were professional and really helpful. I had one of the smallest rooms (if not the smallest), but it was a wonderful experience that served as the grand finale of my trip to Germany!

It was the most magical place I have ever been. My husband and I just booked one night, but I wish we would have done more. The gardens are MASSIVE and contain so many whimsical surprises like tree houses, gazebos, and more. Breakfast was amazing, and the views can't be beat. We were worried about the lack of air conditioning coming from the USA but there was a fan in the room which helped a lot. I would recommend this castle to anyone. Honestly, the price is a steal for all you get.

It is beautiful castle , beautiful surroundings, plenty things to do around the castle. The room was big clean and beautiful, bed was comfortable to sleep .
100 % I will be coming back to this castle.
I didn’t like the lamb chops what they offered in castle restaurant for dinner ( no meat at all ) no lamb for me next time when i be staying in this beautiful castle 🙂
Maybe if wouldn’t be eating lamb meat 2 to 3 times a week I wouldn’t be so disappointed.

Everything is really nice about the property. Not just the fabulous location…. The road up to the castle is already an experience…. The castle and the staff were amazing. and its not just that. It’s also the little details in the room that makes the stay wonderful. (And makes you feel the passion of the team and owner) …. The welcome liqueur in the room, the Penhaligon shampoo, body wash AND conditioner (the only hotel in Germany we stayed in that still had conditioner), the feather pen that turns out to be a real pen, the writing paper, etc etc.
Dinner at the terrace is good,..to dine at such location amazing.

The castle facilities and views. The different eating areas.
We would have liked a tour of the castle and food past 8pm.

you go here for the history, the design, the atmosphere, and the service. friendliest and most helpful staff we have experienced ever.
the bistro dinner food was mediocre. mattresses too firm.

What an awesome experience! The castle is marvelous and the hotel is run with great care! The room was even better the pictures, which is not often the case. We will come back without kids to enjoy the fine dinner in peace! That must be lovely.
The only problem ever are the cracking floors. They are super loud. You won’t hear the voices from upstairs, but every step, also made by your roommates:D Just take earplugs with you. It is worth it.

Spectacular views, excellent dinner, and magical gardens.
A shuttle to/from the Oberwesel train station would make this place perfect!

Very interesting stay and great to explore especially the guests garden. Staff were helpful, bed was comfortable and the sherry was welcome. Some lovely touches and interesting decor, great for a treat.
Restuarant was closed due to staff shortages, distance to car park

Charm, charm, charm. How often can you stay in a 1000-year-old castle with WiFi and other modern conveniences? The setting is high above the Rhine, and most rooms have dramatic views. Interior public rooms and most bedrooms have antique or at least antique-looking furnishings. Staff is uniformly friendly and helpful. The included breakfast is a bountiful and variety-filled buffet, plus you can have eggs cooked to order including omelettes. The tower museum is free for guests--you climb up irregular stairs to the top, where the views are amazing. And the very cute butter dishes with a little duck as a handle on the cover can be bought at the reception (28 euros). All in all, a delight to stay.
The water temperature in showers changes from hot to cold and back, especially in the morning when many guests are taking their showers also. The access bridge to the parking lot is narrow and starts with a sharp curve--drive carefully with a large car or van.

it is absolutely beautiful, much attention to details, historical, beautiful scenery. The staff is friendly, helpful, just a bit too formal, but that is very German I believe.
this is not very important, but you hear every noise, people talking, cleaners starting early in the morning

The room fit our family of 5 perfectly. it was such a nice surprise and we felt like royalty from the moment we walked into the reception office. The castle is so beautiful and has amazing views from so many locations. Breakfast was delicious and love all the courtyards to share a glass of wine or drink a cup of coffee. Highly recommend this place!

We both love the staying in the castle. Thanks for your arrangement for us. Their restaurant offer very tasty dinner and wine. Plenty choices of breakfast as well. only 26 rooms in here and each is very different. The garden is very beautiful. it has the spectacular view of the Rhine. We will be very happy to come back again.
