Brekfast was ok and location good but a little confusing to get to main entrance to hotel
Signage to entrance to hotel and staff a little uncaring

We slept very well. Comfortable beds, air conditioning that did not disturb sleep, thin blankets in addition to the sheets. Large pool and good pool area with a bar (it wasn’t hot in the shade of the bar). Good service.
The bathroom would require renovation. A billiard table would be nice.

Very big hotel
Antiquated, rude staff, needs a major revamp. Breakfast is aweful.

Great pool, stunning views, great value for money. Decent breakfast. This is a 8,5 property.
Parking was free. Check in/out super fast.

The room was big and clean
From the moment you enter the hotel there is loud noise, music. Whether it be the staff, animation team or pool side music.

Their provided on- line photos, swimming pool.
Not much to like. Premises tired. Food abominable.
We booked and paid for 2 nights, but had to leave after 1 night. No refund. They charged Euro 72 for two cold and tired dinner buffets - wilted vegetables, cold tasteless pastas. Breakfast was, at best, boring, with same poverty induced choices. Poolside area used artificial grass.

The staff is friendly. Breakfast is good. Room is comfortable and clean. The balcony view is awesome.
The dinner menu options are limited (no salad or fish as health options available).
In overall the experience was positive.

Situated in real tranquil environment. Very good for a relaxing holiday. Large pool and bathing area to spend time enjoying the view and relaxing.
Not much fruit 🍓🍑 to choose in breakfast

very spacious room. The pool and the outside area looked amazing. unfortunately we couldn’t use any of it because of the rain.
The breakfast buffet was very good and plentiful.Roberto and his crew were very attentive and friendly.

The location is realy amazing with a great view of the sea. There is a huge parking lot in front of the hotel so everyone should be able to find a spot. The hotel is of older date and it shows however it's clean and looks well maintained. The brekfast is also good, regular for this kind of hotel.
I kinda expected that this is an older hotel so it didn't bother me. However as an improvement the rooms could be refurbished.

Staff was very courteous, friendly and accommodating .
The ride to the hotel was challenging but the arrival was worth the travel

The view from this hotel is a once-in-a-life experience! We were in awe every day as we sat on the very large balcony overlooking the inspiring 70 ft tall Carrera marble statue of the Resurrected Christ above the .sparkling turquoise water of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Our suite was large and well-suited for enjoying dinner and drinks in the room or breakfast in bed. The Wi-fi signal. consistent! Every employee treated us like family. They were swift to accomodate our every need. The breakfast buffets were huge and delicious. I rate our stay a 10! Caution: the roads to the mountaintop hotel are not for the faint of heart!!!!
We didn't like: #1. No place to exchange American dollars for euros. #2. How far we had to go shopping for food/ wine, etc. There was no large grocery store without going to another city 30 minutes away over narrow roads. with hairpin turns. For Floridians from the USA, it was scary driving for long distances. I must say though, we found the roads everywhere in Calabria to be in tip-top condition and signage very available and clearly marked. We were fortunate at the hotel to find many people who spoke at least some English. However, the south of Italy is primarily Italian only. Everyone was very patient with our attempts to speak English. Between them and us, playing a good game of charades helped solve the language barrier or at least brought us all a good laugh! Grand Hotel Pianeta Maratea Resort's interior design is a bit dated but nothing is in disrepair and it's very comfortable and spotlessly clean, It's a great hotel with a remarkably friendly and helpful staff. We will definitely recommend it and vacation there again! There is way more to LOVE than not!

Nice pool area and the landscape from the hotel.
Quite challenging location up in the hills.

Big swimming pool with free activities (aquagym, yoga)
Pizzeria (really good pizza)
Easy to park
Nice sea view
Breakfast (industrial cakes and juices, machines)
Old equipments/ furniture/ decoration in the room. And we had some water issue.
Big resort (too many people)

facilities which are outdated and the quality of furniture which was definitely poor. Keys should be changed with more modern card systems. Breakfast was rich in carbohydrates but absolutely poor as to fresh fruit, which is unbelievable in a region that produces fantastic fruits. Staff was always kind though.

The staff was friendly and willing to solve any issues. The pool area was very spacious and comfortable for kids.
The property needs to be refurbished, because it feels very old. The food is not the best too.

Pictures don’t do justice, this place is unreal. We wish we booked more nights.

Room was nice and staff was polite .. good breakfast choices
You cannot sell frozen food ( cotoletta) and charge £10. You can buy this food in a supermarket if u want to eat fast food.
Italy it's about good food and I don't think you are promoting that

lovely location at the top of a mountain
lots of extras to pay for such as pool towels, shuttle to beach. breakfast average.
7.0
Lovely hotel and great pool although I was disappointed about the distance to the beach. On our first day the complementary shuttle to the beach was full so we were unable to use it. The hotel is a bit out of town and the restaurant had very limited vegetarian choices but what they did have though was delicious.
Breakfasts was very good and the waiting staff at breakfast and evening meals were very friendly.
Distance to beach and lack of vegetarian food available.

The staff and service were spectacular
Hotel felt locked into the 1970s. No access to private beach

We very much enjoyed the view and beach in Maratea di Marina!

Nothing else please
Rude attitude concerning parking on site, we were insulted by staff , shouted at, ordering us to move the car outside hotel premises, although I have showed them my disabled badge!!!
Only a few days later after checkout, they sent me a message that it is possible to have a close parking, on hotel premises for 10 euro per day, which I would gladly pay, BUT NO ONE OF THE STAFF TOLD ME ABOUT THIS OPTION, THEY PREFERED TO KICKOUT AND SCREAM AT AN OLD MAN OF 77 YEARS OLD, SADLY AN INVALID.
SHAME ON THIS HOTEL MANAGEMENT !
