Room was fine, bed was comfortable and the facilities that we both needed. Breakfast was lovely, plenty to choose from.

We were greeted upon arrival and shown around. The room was clean and comfortable and quiet
We were able to have an evening meal.
Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice.
The restaurant meal was rather overpriced. We didn't feel we were valued customers as we left as we weren't asked about our experience
4.3
room, diner, fine wines, breakfast and very friendly and professional waiters and reception desk personnel.
4.3
Quaint hotel. Location suited us as we stayed for a family wedding up the road but would need a car to get out and about.
No issues at all.
4.3
The staff were all fabulous - friendly, attentive and nothing was too much trouble.
Attention to detail missing. For example, there were curtain hooks missing from one bedroom curtain and it was difficult to close. One of the cushions on the bed was grubby and the carpets could do with a clean.
4.3
Large ensuite room, good parking at the hotel. The breakfasts and evening meal were of good quality. Very friendly and helpful staff.
The fan in our bathroom was very noisy (rattling) and I’m sure could be heard in other rooms.
4.3
The staff were very pleasant and obliging.
Our room was large with a comfortable huge bed, however the room was a little tired.
Breakfasts were good; we had continental, full English, and smoked salmon with scrambled eggs.
We also had a meal in the restaurant one night, which was good.

Dinner in the excellent on-site restaurant was a joyous throwback to the fine dining experience of the 1990's, with attentive waiters, tasteful decor and a waft of classical music. Parking was ample and very convenient next to the rear entrance. The following day, we attended the "jack in the green" parade in Hastings and found the Hotel was well placed to get down there nice and early. Absolutely love this place, the staff and the "retro" ambience.

Staff excellent, very good value and I really enjoy stying there. Absolutely beautiful village setting.
Could do with updating updating, but for me that adds to the charm.
4.3
The staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was good.
The outside security was on all night. the thin black-out curtains were not helpful at all, hence I didn't sleep very well.
The room would benefit from some TLC. The room and bathroom were dated and the sink had a bit of fluff in it.
There were cob-webs hanging from the ceiling, very disappointing considering the room it cost £90.
Had I wanted something cheap and more cheerful, i would checked in a B & B which could have offered so much more. The net curtains look like it had come straight from a jumble sale.

A lovely atmosphere and character hotel.
4.3
staff friendly and helpful
if you view the write up and pictures you would feel you will be in an old building . The bedrooms turn out to be in a motel style annex. Food limited in selection and expensive, my chicken hunter was a cooked chicken breast with a sauce poured over, not cooked as complete dish

A lovely welcome and the staff were top notch. Very helpful. The food was very good, well presented hot and tasty. The breakfasts were plentiful and all freshly cooked.
Our room was big, comfortable and had TWO very comfortable arm chairs. Very unusual!
Nothing!

The location, atmosphere, and general relaxed but efficient ambience all were very good.
Unfortunately, we had no hot water in our room Sunday morning as the boiler broke, which also meant our room wasn't warm but with the weather being so cold the system was probably working overtime and these things happen.
4.3
Friendly staff that definitely went out of their way to help!
Great breakfast included.
4.3
The style and design of the hotel with secure parking, clean and comfortable rooms, helpful and friendly staff, excellent meals!
Nothing to dislike!

The breakfast, dinner and our room all excellent,
The temperature could have been better controlled, it was very warm when it wasn’t necessary to be so.

Excellent breakfast. Wide choice on menu. Warm welcome, pleasant and helpful staff. Spacious comfortable room. Quiet and convenient location.
Lack of hot water at 10.00pm. (Fine in the morning.)
Poor TV reception but probably the fault of the local transmitter.
4.3
We had a very comfortable sofabed in the room to sit on.
The staff were very friendly and polite and very helpful.
The food was excellent. Dinner and breakfast.
The mattress was a bit firm for us.

The staff were very friendly and helpful
Bright light from the outside staircase was shining through the curtains all night so difficult to sleep

The whole experience was excellent from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble. All of the staff were exceptional in their dedication to providing the best of everything for their guests. The food was outstanding. We stayed for five days and ate in the restaurant for four of them. Every meal, including breakfast was superb, and the waiting on staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. The rooms were clean throughout and very comfortable. I would not hesitate to go back again and would definitely recommend this hotel.
There was nothing not to like.
4.3
Comfortable room, friendly staff with a great choice at breakfast.
Breakfast buffet was excellent both days but on day 1 the bacon and sausage were a little dried out. Second day perfect.

Excellent facilities and staff. We were having difficulty with our rental car and their staff help us get this resolved, after several failed efforts on our part. In traveling from another country, their kindness and support were invaluable. The room was very nice and breakfast was marvelous.
