Good location for the town and port area.
Good breakfast, good quality foods and plenty to choose from
Pretty garden area - the fuscias were in bloom during our visit.
Comfortable bed. Decent shower and clean bathroom
Tea and coffee making facilities.
Helpful staff who were willing to talk English, which was appreciated.
The room was rather cramped and rather noisy at times as it was at the front of the hotel.

Everything. One of the most characterful hotels in its price bracket I've stayed in. Great décor, really friendly staff, a superb atmosphere.

Room excellent (at a price) and staff pleasant but limited food a major disappointment
We have visited this hotel over the last 30 years and in the day it had an excellent restaurant
Now reduced to one set meal due to lack of staff A great shame
Food

I suspect the hotel is having difficulty in finding staff. The dinner was very disappointing where as in previous years the food was excellent and the service is not as good as it used to be. Also with the pound being so low against the euro it's not value for money. Sad because I have visited the hotel many times in the past and been very happy.
Food and service.

location. general appearance.
no lift and we were on 2nd floor i have serious mobility issues, so climbing stairs is very difficult.
The the hotel should make it clear that they have no lift and arrange to keep the three ground floor rooms reserved for guests with mobility issues.

Lovely indoor garden. The breakfast was very tasty, and the room in which it took place was very atmospheric.

The beauty and the serenity of the garden, the bedroom in which we really felt on holidays, the staff was really kind and helpful and the hotel is almost on the port!

Very beautiful place, incredible garden, nice staff and good breakfast.
Our room on the ground floor was a bit noisy because of the passages of other clients and a poor isolation.

Such a quaint hotel situated around quite a magical courtyard garden. Good breakfast. could be excellent but needs a lot of work. good location.
let down by the tiredness of the decor and insanely poor quality off the beds, linen and pillows. My guess is the beds are at least 40 years old and the pillows are actually like sleeping on a sack of rocks - just lumps off hard, knotted filling. probably fine if you are 20 but my 43 year old neck and back were screaming in the morning. camping with a fresh sleeping bag would probably have been more comfortable.

The charming ambiance. The staff being generally attentive, helpful and the resteraunt was stylish and the menu well received including the lobster main course. The very helpful morning receptionist who carried all our luggage 100 metres to our car.
Perhaps a slightly faster resteraunt service - we had to chase up our desserts.

Hotel is well situated near the harbour and shops
Staff very helpful
