L'Ancien Paquier is a great small B&B run by Paola and Fabio who are fabulous hosts. Breakfast was superb and the room clean and cosy with relatively big bathroom.

Perfectly located in the center of Valtournenche, from where you can directly leave for a fantastic day hike without moving the car, the B&B is very clean and the family room for 4 is really nice. The owners are extremely helpful with hints about hikes and restaurants, and the added bonus is their home-made ice cream shop on the ground floor, perfect for a delicious snack when you come back from a long walk. The breakfast is just spectacular, with a large choice of home made pastries, regional cheese, fruit salad, yogurt, scrambled eggs, etc.
Nothing we did not like, everything was really good! I however prefer to mention that our family room was in the attic, which is charming, but be warned that the last flight of stairs is very steep so if you have mobility problems this room is not a good choice: check which room you book before finalising your booking. For us this was really not an issue. The room has one double bed (very comfortable for us) and two individual foldable beds that are a bit small for adults. Again this was Ok for us, and we were 4 adults - our children are around 20 and rather tall.

A lovely little guest house on the main road through Valtournenche. Paola and Fabio are very friendly and informative hosts, who are keen to help you make the most of your stay. They provide excellent tips for activities in the area. The rooms are very clean, with storage, mini fridge tea/coffee making facilities and a good sized en-suite bathroom. Spacious communal terrace for guests with mountain view. Excellent breakfast, with home made jams and fruit compote. Freshly made ice creams are delicious. We stayed for 3 nights.
Traffic noise particularly in the morning from 7am. Quiet during the night though. We had to leave windows open as no air-con. The beds were a little hard for us, but otherwise comfortable.

A super nice family run hotel in the Cervinia-Valtournenche ski area.
The hotel is ca 5 min by car / village ski bus from the main lift in Valtournenche, and is then linked skiing to Cervinia and the Swiss Zermatt ski areas. Alternatively you can drive or take the bus to Cervinia (ca 15 min) and start from there. We did both.
The rooms are as pictured, have all the necessities and are cleaned daily. The hotel also has a ski room with heated boot stands.
The best part is the couple (Paola and Fabio) who run the hotel, they are so nice and hospitable. Paola called us ahead on the day of our arrival to inform on the weather conditions and give further instructions for arrival. During your stay, each day start with with their freshly cooked tasty breakfast and recommendations on the weather and where to go skiing this day. They also provide recommendations on dinner etc. The food they offer is local and made with love!
Valtournenche is a small picturesque village, it is definitely more quiet than Cervinia, but matched our wishes.
So overall a great stay and we recommend it for a ski holiday in the Cervinia/Zermatt area!

The staff is very kind and always ready to help you with any problem. Breakfast was the best thing of our stay, it was amazing and most of the things were homemade. The room was cool and very clean.

We absolutely enjoyed our week at L'Ancien Paquier. Fabio and Paola treated us extremely well and attentively. We loved the breakfast with a variety of local cheeses and homemade cakes. Fabio gave us excellent tips about the best hiking routes, which we would have missed on our own. The house is lovely and is well located right in the middle of the historical village of Valtournenche, at walking distance to many restaurants, so one does not actually need a car. The room was large enough and had all the amenities that you need (fridge, kettle, etc). The ice cream shop on the ground floor is an added bonus.
We did not find anything to complain about.
