Consistently one of the best venues in South Africa for a family holiday
Loadshedding is a big factor in WC and some backup power will be the expectation of many guests.

Location superb, spacious, private and extremely well appointed, excellent attention to detail, exquisite little spot.

Charming quaint house with beautiful flowering garden overlooking the water. Very peaceful and private room. Fabulous breakfast within walking distance recommended by our host.

Beautiful room, location was off the charts amazing, grounds were beautiful. It was so nice to have the kayaks!
There were little ant in the room, they were crawling on me while in bed. I noticed quite an active ant group at the top of the stairs.
Also, there wasn't any shampoo, which has been a staple at every other place we stayed.
These issues weren't to stop us coming back for a second night, but might be easy fixes for a more comfortable stay.

This is a beautifully appointed, homey hotel. I didn’t want to leave. Gorgeous setting and beautifully decorated. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating

Perfect location, just at the Waterfront, a room so uniquely decorated and a welcoming host.
Just be aware, there are many stairs to climb.

Excellent room and facilities. View was out of this world.
It was very very hot at night and a fan would have been great.

Our room had a private area/balcony, with a couch with superb view over the lagoon. The water is literally 10 stairs away, which was fantastic. We could borrow the kayaks, swim or walk during the low tide.
Our host was very friendly and informative about Knysna and places to visit and things to do around.
The room was fully equipped, but we didn't use it, as we liked all too much the East Head cafe nearby

We stayed in the Lovers nest, honeymoon cottage, during our honeymoon and it was just perfect. Cozy room, private and with a lovely view from the balcony were we had dinner both nights.

The location is a dream. Beautiful gardens, situated right on the water & there are an amazing choice of accommodation to suit different needs- 1, 2, 3 bedroom. The staff are so warm & welcoming, looking after you throughout the stay.
We only stayed 3 nights, could have stayed longer.

the incredible setting, it’s pure paradise. extremely friendly owner.
1. no soap in rooms, old soap which is unhygienic.
2. no milk on arrival late at night arrival
and a few other matters.

Location is superb. The setting, garden and view is wonderful. Host and staff was efficient and very friendly.
Large group arrived and had a party late at nigh and was overall noisy - really spoiled the tranquillity.

This was a lovely guest house! it was so thoughtfully decorated and well stocked for an extended stay. The location was amazing with private access to the lagoon for walks on the sand, swimming, or kayaking! We enjoyed taking that there were kayaks for guests to use (and a shower in the court yard to rinse off!) The balcony was my favorite part and I spent several hours relaxing and reading on the day bed with a great view of the lagoon. Just a wonderful spot to get away for a few days!

I’m lucky enough to have travelled the world as a 747 pilot now long retired. The honeymoon suite at Two Ángels is one of the most perfect chalets and position I have ever known. Everything was excellent. To be able to walk down on to the fabulous lagoon on the exclusive stone steps is amazing. Quaint, cosy and delightful. It could not have been better. Facing west to enjoy sunsets and watch people, children and dogs enjoying the lagoon was a delight. Perfection personified!
Nothing.

We were blown away by the beautiful setting and ideal location with your own little private beach. We stayed on the oracle cottage and the balcony and views made it feel like we were in a French Riviera. We loved the free kayaks and spent most of our day either using the kayaks or walking along the beach morning and evening as you feel really safe. We can't wait to go back!
All I would recommend is perhaps bigger glasses in the kitchen and some steak knives but other than that perfection!

Location wise, you simply can't get better in Knysna. Right on the lagoon with spectacular views. The apartment has a bohemian feel in terms of decor and has everything you need to have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The daily cleaning is a dream with 'the fairies' quickly coming in when they see you've popped out and leaving everything spic and span.
One thing about Angel's Lair is that the 'main' bedroom with double bed has the bed positioned in a corner against the wall which means that one person needs to climb over the other if they need to get up in the night or wake before the other. This isn't ideal, but not an absolute game changer by any means.
