The room was a nice size and nicely decorated.
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
The breakfast was very nice.
The location was great.
Parking was a little challenging, not being enough spaces for all rooms, but we were ok as we got a space and did not use the car until our departure.

Hotel is in a great location in the center of the village. Breakfast was good with lots of options. Dinner at the restaurant was good but not outstanding. Staff was mostly helpful but also moving at a relaxed pace.
The rooms were a bit worn. Parking was limited and very tightly packed.

Breakfast was superb. All other food was superb. Staff were outstanding.
Room a little dated and could do with an upgrade.

The room was lovely and cozy, amazing location and very helpful staff.
Unfortunately the food served for breakfast and when we had dinner at the hotel restaurant was not great. It was clear that it had been reheated and not been made fresh. The dinner was very overpriced for subpar food that we unfortunately couldn’t finish.

We would stay again if in the area.

Location
Music from restaurant, reception and bar areas travelled up into our room which disrupted our stay from start to finish

The property was located in a beautiful village
We felt the room could have done with a lick of paint
Room 17 was very noisy at night from the bar downstairs
We were right above the bar.

Lovely run family hotel! We had a very warm welcome, the staff were very friendly & helpful. Our room was very clean, comfy & of a good size. Fully stacked bar, with a large selection of drinks. The breakfast was stunning, with a large large selection of cereals, freshly baked pasteries & plenty of hot breakfast choices.
The dinner was small for the price but this may have just been what we had. Other tables dinners looked great so had a bit of food envy 😂

Perfect location for exploring Bourton on the Water, on site parking a real bonus but beware there are 18 spaces for 22 rooms! Welcomed by the most lovely lady on reception to this typically quaint English hotel. We stayed in room 6 which was utterly beautiful, the bed was huge and very comfortable, bathroom spotless but the pressure of the shower was somewhat lacking!
Nothing noteworthy.

We booked a cosy double so expecting a small room, but no it was a very good sized room and a big modern clean bathroom. The whole hotel is of an excellent high quality standard with a nice bar and restaurant. The breakfast was very good and plenty to choose from. Good chance we will be back in the future and eat in the restaurant next time

We loved Bourton on the Water & Chester House Hotel.
The main reason for choosing this hotel was that it was in the centre of the village & had parking on site.
The room was very comfortable & we couldn't fault the location as we were able to park the car & walk everywhere, it's a beautiful village with plenty of shops & restaurants & we were so glad we chose to stay here.
Fabulous breakfast & very friendly service too, thank you!
Nothing!

Very good hotel in a great location, room nicely decorated and comfortable. Breakfast lovely as was the food at the restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Sitting in the bar it was unfortunate that the entrance door didn't close properly and the staff or anyone else sitting near by had to keep closing it - we suggest maybe a stronger spring! This was the only niggle, we had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend it to others.

Good size room. The lady on reception was really friendly. Lovely food. Great location. Free parking on site. Very clean throughout. Nice bar area.
At breakfast the waitress started to clear the table while I was still eating. A pet hate of mine. A table should only be cleared when everyone has finished eating.

Selection of draught beers in the bar was poor.

I really liked having a little front door and it's so close to the main road you feel like you live there for the weekend as you can nip back so easily. The room was very cute, I thought breakfast was really reasonably prized for what we got, would definitely go again.
Wifi didn't quite reach the room I was in and parking was a bit of a faff but I understand that they can't do much about that and we managed.

Friendly helpful staff, comfy bed, nice breakfast.
Very noisy, not just from the bar/restaurant below which didn't go on too late, but snoring from guests in adjacent rooms meant we slept poorly.
Bathroom small and very awkward for my 6ft plus husband, and shower flow feeble.
Room just a bit meh overall. We were celebrating an anniversary so just a bit disappointed that it didn't feel very special.

Our second stay here. Great location close to everything in BotW. We had a very nice room in the main hotel, lovely dinner and breakfast. The dining and lounge areas are particularly pleasant.
It was a cold night! The door from the bar let’s out straight onto the street, so lots of icy blasts, and too often the door wasn’t shut by users as they entered or left the property.

We enjoyed the food and the comforts of the hotel.
Our annex (20) room was disappointing as it was not very warm and backed onto the kitchen so was noisy at times. Towel rail didn't heat up so bathroom was cold.

I liked the location, the friendly attitude of the staff. The rooms and bathroom are lovely. It is clean and quiet.
There are occasional internet issues.

The location of the hotel is brilliant - right in the middle of town! The staff were lovely and welcoming and the breakfast was very nice. The room was a great size and had a very lovely bathroom.
The downside of the room was it was loud. We could hear the kitchen at work (I think it was a room that backed onto it), and we could hear every step from the guests upstairs.
The WiFi didn't work in our room - however, we didn't really mind this as it was a night away.
The car park spaces are quite tight and some staff do park in there as well - although it's great to have a place to park and the staff were very accommodating with moving their cars around for each guest.
