Never been to Penang before and loved it. Would visit Penang again but maybe stay in town.

The view of the beach was lovely and the spacious room we booked.

Was more like 25 mins by car from Georgetown but we used the grab app to get around. The cleaning of the room was slow. We went out all day and still not done when we returned. The hotel is looking a bit tired. But not a huge issue and other than that everything was great and we had a lovely holiday

Getting Covid very unfortunate - but that’s kife - but the lack of help re some staff members truly disappointing - tri

Magnificent location - great views - terrific pool etc

Some staff very average - poor - unfortunately my partner and I got Covid very early on and staff who could have been more helpful certainly were not - very disappointing to say the least - decided to let management know in the end - I’ve travelled a lot over the years and in 30 years of travelling only the 2 nd time I’ felt I had to do this - very disappointing 😡

Nice stay marred by noisy neighbor.

The sea view was nice though the seawater was muddy. Lots of power plug points. A balcony would have been nice. Water pressure was good.

Only half a shower screen was inadequate. Wifi was weak. Soundproofing could be improved, people talking outside could be heard. Had a terrible family in the room upstairs, complained thrice about their kid running and jumping in the room but to no avail, uncouth people like them should just rent a villa and not hotel rooms.

Great access to beach, tasty breakfast, although could have had more local options.

Check in was a little slow, but was just a busy time.

The best 2 day stays ever!!! Everything was so nice. The food was great so was the ocean view from my room. Would love to come back here again next time

Nice Stay !

Breakfast was alright. Off peak season I reckon, we managed to sit outside. Such a lovely time there.

We didint have enough time to explore the facilities ( no fault of the hotel obviously!) Lol.

Very relaxing

Love that it was right by the beach and had a pool to go and swim when you liked. The bar as well was really good with the pool table and darts

Only thing that was a bit annoying was although we paid for breakfast for the entire stay at the end we where told we weren’t on the list

Comfortable middle of the road hotel that needs a bit of a refresh

Great breakfast though staff a bit abrupt, could have been English exchange

Public spaces, hallway carpeting looking a bit dated. Bathroom door poorly painted.

Overall i enjoy the stay despite the disappointment. Mercure is one the top hotels in Tanjung Bungah so i expected more

The location is exceptional , near to the beach and we get the seaview.

Its near to the beach yes, but the room and the bedsheets was a bit old and there is some spotting on the bedsheet that makes me feel uncomfortable. With the price , the location is exceptional unfortunately the cleanliness of the room is my concern. The bathroom was okay, and the reception was pleasant . There were only one bellboy to pickup the bags so mostly guests with more baggages will have trouble with their belongings . There was not many options for food to choose in the buffet area , and the food was okay-okay for me. It could be better.

The experience at the breakfast was very bad I needed to do early check out and the breakfast time said starting at 7am and it was 7:10am and the doors were closed, when they let us in the coffee machines were broken the omelette were not ready, the toaster were not settled on and was throwing the bread from behind When we pointed to the staff this issues they told us to wait no even apologizing for the situation very rude really I hope you can improve this service because the rest of the experience was perfect, very sorry to point you so low

So far so good

We like our room the most as we requested the sea view room. It's breathtaking. We also like the water filter system that they have, so we can always refill our bottle with clean water. Also love the pool, not too deep for adults and there's a kids pool too.

The food spread, could be better. On the second morning, the pasta was not served but instead they changed it to mushroom. So a bit frustrating since it is stated there as pasta section. Also no hot tea/coffee provided, all DIY through the machine provided.

a lovely palace for any trip

the ambiance was fantastic, loved the hill and sea view room. all rooms are great. loving the friendly staff, he arrange my family in great condition even we are there for one night. loving everything, except the pillow was a bit too soft, probably is my problem. however, overall everything was great. we are definitely coming back again.
