Las instalaciones y la atención del personal. La alberca es deliciosa.
Solo tuvimos un tema con nuestro ventilador, que la persona de mantenimiento muy amablemente hizo favor de atender cuando regresamos por la noche. Realmente no fue un problema. 😊

We were located at the room at the top of the building which had an absolute amazing view. We could literally see the ocean from our bed. If you don't mind taking the stairs, we highly recommend taking the 'Coconut' room. It has a big balcony, comfy bed, nice shower and a little kitchen. The fridge was also a plus. The street with restaurants and shops is right around the corner and the ocean is a couple minutes walking. The breakfast was also very good and the kitchen-staff was super friendly and welcoming. The swimming pool was also nice to cool down during the hottest moment of the day.
You really need personal transport if you want to get around in this area. Taxi's are plentiful but would still recommend renting a bike/scooter.

Great location tucked just behind the fabulous but busy main La Punta St. The large, quiet and peaceful courtyard with pool and gardens is a welcome oasis. Morning coffee was an unexpected pleasure. We had a new Yoga guide called Roberto I think and he was fabulous. So calm and thoughtful and a thorough but gentle workout - a great start to the day. The staff in general were great and very helpful and we really enjoyed the Tuesday night welcome dinner.
We loved the pool and spent a lot of time in it. Occasionally it needed a little more vigour in its cleaning. Everything else is immaculate.

Great staff and location. Rooms were very nice and comfortable. Yoga was great too.

The common areas are pretty. Location is nice. Studio is well equipped.
We booked a room and in reality it’s just a small small studio that you have to get there by crossing the whole hotel into what seems like a parking patio and there you climb an exterior spiral staircase which is dangerous carrying luggage, and at night you can’t see a thing to go up or down.

The girl at the front desk helped me by calling a local transportation service. Great pool and location.Beautiful yoga room. I used to live in Puerto and it's changing a lot, but this area is still quiet while being close to everything.
As I mentioned, I used to live in Puerto so I knew the place and have done yoga classes here but never stayed. It had a strange "condo" feel to it. It's more of a family atmosphere or for retirees...not a place for 'travelers'. Many of the guests just sat around the pool all day staring at their phones or computers. Also, they gave me the back room on the ground floor (maybe reserved for Booking) and the staff stood around talking and using their walkie talkies just outside my door--this was very disturbing. I live in Oaxaca and the coffee they provide is like water which is a shame because Oaxaca is famous for its delicious coffee. Food was available (I think) but no one ever mentioned it to me. For a friendly town and state the feel of the place was not very hospitable and I wouldn't stay again. Oh...and one of the "preferred guests" let their dog run around and it was always barking. I like animals but it was VERY annoying.

The staff were all super helpful in scheduling various activities such as dolphin watching, surfing, and a bioluminescent lake experience. The garden is beautiful and there was a cute kitten playing around in the garden pretending it was something like a leopard in the jungle. Chilling by the pool is nice too. You are also a short walk from the Zicatela beach in a part of the beach that is quite private. In the other direction you can take a short walk to tons of shops and restaurants.
I liked everything.

I don't think I could say enough great things about this place...I traveled with my brother and a friend for a Puerto Escondido getaway. This hotel is gated which is a really nice when traveling in an unfamiliar area. The staff was amazing. Everyone was so friendly, helpful and went above and beyond. The grounds/gardens were beautiful with hammocks around the property for lounging. Outdoor showers to rinse from the beach before heading up to the room. The pool was fantastic (no chlorine, yay!!!). They also provided complimentary soap/shampoo in the bathroom in our room which was such a great touch. The food was amazing from the little restaurant in the hotel as well. So nice to have a breakfast/lunch option without having to fight the crowds in the town. Complimentary coffee in the morning was a huge perk. They also offer complimentary daily yoga classes for guests, a movie night, and also a meet and greet. The meet and greet seemed like a great opportunity to meet other guests/travelers and they even prepare a complimentary beautiful meal for you as well. SO AMAZING. The location is fantastic. Set down a side street a couple blocks away from the action and super quiet but only a 2 minute walk to the main street OR a 2 minute walk to the beach. We will 100% be back ASAP.
Truth be told, this was one of the best experiences at a hotel in Mexico I have ever had. There was not a single thing we did not like!

Location right out off the buss of la Punta but 5 min walk. Loved the Yoga and the free coffee every morning!!
The rooms are well equiped with airco and a kitchen which makes it super easy to prepare your own breakfast if you want. Do try the amazing guacamole of their restaurant!!
The first night we spend in a room at the back of the kitchen. it was super small, noisy and had no outside terrace. Luckily we could switch rooms the next day

A little piece of paradise. Was such a peaceful, beautiful setting and the staff were amazing. Rooms were clean and tended regularly.
Only draw back was our room didn’t have air conditioning in the bedroom (was in living area which was very seperate) and was a bit warm and noisy sleeping with the heavy duty fan on.
Location was fantastic. Short walk to beach and great cafes and restaurants galore.
Ended up staying again later on our trip as we enjoyed it so much; this time had air in sleeping area which was perfect!
The garden and pool area is a perfect place to chill.
Use the women at reception for their recommendations; we went on a boat trip to see the dolphins and it was the best experience ever.
Be mindful if booking a double massage that both people are suitably qualified.
We had an unfortunate experience where a junior therapist was being guided through the process by the other therapist.

We loved our stay in this hotel. The rooms are beautiful and we had a lovely balcony. The courtyard is so peaceful. You can hear tons of birds. The location of the hotel is great. Close to lots of good food in La Punta and just steps away from the beach! The staff were really nice and the free yoga classes at 9am are a great extra.
I booked a mani-pedi through the hotel (with melanita). I really recommend getting a pedicure because I don't think the skin of my feet has ever been taking care of that well. That being said, don't get a mani-pedi just to get your nails painted, because melanita was not very good at that part. It was very messy and I think I do a better job myself, even though I'm not very good.
This is not a negative of the hotel itself, but I don't recommend booking excursions through the hotel. We did the bio-iluminescense trip. The experience itself (swimming with the plankton) was obviously amazing. Everything else about the excursion was painful. Firstly, it was not easy to get information from the reception. Then, we were supposed to be picked up at 6pm, but the van only came at 6.35pm. We were only the second couple in the van. We spent another hour driving around puerto escondido to various hotels until the van was full and we could leave for the lake. We got there around 8pm.

Lovely house, beautiful garden with pool and very nice people. We felt right at home. They also serve a lovely breakfast at a low cost and have tasty coffee (that is available for all and free). A good way to start your day!
We stayed in the studio with spiral staircase (that was a bit hard to see at night). For us it was fine, but I would recommend one of their other lovely rooms if that would be an issue for you.

Everything it’s really nice, the room is big enough and totally private, all the appliances on the kitchenette worked perfect, had everything you need to cook, a/c really good, mattress on the firm side, Tuesday they have a free dinner night to get to know other guests
Metal staircase, it’s on the difficult side, it’s one of those spiral metal staircase but totally doable, just take your time, and patience

Very good location, just a couple of blocks from the beach and right next to all local restaurants and bars. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, always with a smile :). The food at the cafeteria is awesome. Internet was quite good and stable.

The value for money of CasaMar is unbelievable. We were a family of 5 with 2 adults and 3 children which is a challenge when coming to stay at something that is more hotel then a house but CasaMar had it all a kitchen in the room, a place for the kids to play, Yoga classes in the morning and don't miss the introduction at the guest meal on Tuesday its beutiful and Luis is amazing and entertaining. Its on the point of Zicatela, It has all the facilities and the price is great. Will go back there

the staff was very friendly and supportive of us being in the space after the check-out to make work calls on the internet. inside the property the environment is sheltered from the business of the neighbourhood.
the rooms were clean and in decent shape and our had fridges which helped.
the internet worked okay for zoom calls for the first 2h and started seriously glitching after that but I used my mobile phone to tether.
we arrived after hours and in one of the rooms the AC did not work and it even the fan. The person who met us and opened the doors for us did not have any understanding of the hotel so he could not help with either so half of our party slowly cooked during the night in the tropical heat of the pacific coast. also the man told us wrong information about the check out time, which did not get us in trouble (the reception staff was understanding).
please train your night porter.

The hotel is beautiful, the facilities were excellent, the location was great - 1 minute from the ocean in one direction and 1 minute from many shops and restaurants in the other, and the staff was so friendly and lovely.
Very overpriced for short stays. This hotel is very much geared towards long-term stays, and priced accordingly.
