Hot tub suite was amazing, so comfortable & clean, perfect for a romantic night away. Very friendly reception staff.
Price per night could be reduced as is a lot of money for what you get.

Ambience of the hotel, helpful welcoming staff, clean, delicious food, onsite EV charger, garden.
Although the en-suite bathroom was clean and functional, it could do with up dating, but that's a matter of personal opinion.

Returned at 9.15pm on first evening to find hotel in darkness and no staff. Prices did not reflect service/standard of hotel.

location and the team were excellent

The main building is nicely presented and furnished.
The “Coachhouse” rooms, while spacious, are equipped with cheap and uncomfortable sofas. The main bedrooms have no form of ventilation eg windows that can opened, just the bifold doors that open on to the balcony. Premier Inn quality at Premier League prices.

This hotel is such a gem. On arrival the staff were so nice and warm and friendly. You could immediately tell that it was a family run private hotel and not a chain. I had assumed it was a chain because of the OYO logo but apparently that's just another booking site that makes them use their branding. Don't let that put you off, it's not a chain at all. The staff were the same for the whole of our stay so we got to know them just a little and they really looked after us. The overarching ethos we decided they must have was "how can we make this even nicer for our guests?". The cream tea and the cake were both amazing. Bottomless tea with that! What a great idea! Later checkout than most hotels. Accommodating unusual breakfast requests. Coming to get you for dinner from the lounge and carrying your drinks through for you.... everything was just so considerate. We can't wait to go back.
Nothing to report here. We liked everything. We had very simple requirements and these were fully met.

The staff were very helpful, the food was excellent the room we stayed in had a terrace with fabulous views. We will definitely return and recommend you visit.

There were 40 stairs to our attic room, some very steep, especially for two 80+ year olds. The manager said that if we had booked direct then they would have told us. Booking.Com made no mention of this which clouded our stay. Hotel was fully booked. This also happend in October 2022 in York. Booking.com again failed to mention again 36 stairs to our attic room. These stairs were very sreep and difficult. Same comment from hotel re booking direct.
I WROTE TO BOOKING.COM IN OCTOBER AND I AM STILL WAITING A REPLY.
I WILL NOT BOOK WITH THEM AGAIN AND WOULD ADVISE CHECKING WITH HOTEL
