The location, and overall facilities
The price the I was shown in my reservation was not the one I ended up paying, which was a lot more! So they didn’t respect Booking.con rate!
We didn’t have electricity for more than 8 hrs and the shower leaks and had bad drainage. Very hot domos and not enough ventilation. They need better insulation for the summer. This is not a location ADA approved or for senior people. Missing handrail, and the top stairs is supper dangerous to come down!

able to see the stars beautifully, at least for the first night. second day was cloudy. Breakfast was excellent. Staff very friendly. we enjoyed the quiet and our walk through the nearby town.
We had to trudge up so far to get to our room in the dark, with our suitcases and no help. My friend and I are in our seventies so it was exhausting and a bit dangerous.
Also some problems with checkin since I felt I had paid in advance yet there was no record of it anywhere.

They arranged a private evening show at their own mini observatory which was awesome! Extremely friendly and welcome staff that provided many suggestions for activities.
Nothing, this is a perfect place to stay.

This property truly is a must stay when you are visiting Chile, it is a one of kind experience that you will not get anywhere else, the landscape is incredible and the property is designed to completely take advantage of all it's natural wonders the staff was most acomedating and very friendly not to mention the food was fantastic!!! But make sure you book more then one night you will not be dissatisfied and will leave completely refreshed and unplugged from the outside world 👌

The host,Ximena went beyond! She drove us to town to get our bus back La Serena. Both Camila and Constanta always willing to help. When we skied for anything all the staff provided.

It was very quiet. Only the two of us staying here perhaps because it was a full moon. The rooms are lovely. Good shower and facilities. Fab view from the windows over the bedroom. Parking is onsite and easy. Wifi only available in the reception area. Pool was lovely for a swim and the Pisco Sours were great. The breakfast included cereal, yoghurt, eggs, ham, cheese and bread. The staff were helpful and used google translate to help us. we arrived on a Monday and did not know that everywhere is closed to food after 5pm on Mondays - be warned. some places were open on Tuesday’s.
distance from town.

Gorgeous! Beautiful views, the domos were cute and comfy, and the pool and architecture of the building was awesome. Our host Flor was incredibly helpful and so sweet. We arrived late and she welcomed us with a pisco sour! She also connected us with a driver that helped us get around. The night sky is breathtaking and we could open up the ceiling in the domo so fall asleep under the stars. Overall highly recommend and can’t wait to go back one day.
The wifi was a little spotty but that’s just the location and not the properties fault.

The Domo was very beautiful and the view of the starts at night was breathtaking.
The breakfast was simple but good and cooked for us.
The pool is not working.
The hot tubs are not working
The telescope is not working.
Basically anything that we could do other than being on the bedroom was not working. Not worth the price.

We were at MI Lodge Elqui Domos during the May 2022 total lunar eclipse. We were in a dome structure, and it was absolutely perfect. The bed was incredibly comfortable and warm. We left the roof open all night to watch the eclipse. The only way I can describe is perfect.
Everything was perfect. We didn't get to try the breakfast because we had to leave early. But I can only assume it was as good as everything else.

The infrastructure is not bad, all my negative feedback goes to the management and bad service at the front desk. Every time we engaged it was like we were bothering them.
Hospitality was terrible. Since day one for example we declared we wanted to have a star observation experience. They gave us numbers to call but nothing could be arranged (service in Chile is in general not great). On our second day at the hotel we learned that they have an observatory and that we could hire a guide to be with us, but it was too late. We called in advance to ask about dinner options and were told delivery was available, out of the 5 phone numbers the hotel have provided, only one was actually working. Really complicated as we were traveling with kids. The location has a great opportunity to provide a first class experience, improve a bit the fireplace area wit more lights and better barbecue furniture. There was NO wood for the fire, we had to search in the property for pieces of wood on the floor and light can be much better.

The place is definitely quite special. Very nice setting on a mountain hill, close but immediately inside the village of Pisco Elqui. From the cabins you have a nice view of the mountain. The cabin (we did not stay in the dome, so no direct opinion on that) itself is spacious, with a big bed and a private terrace. Breakfast was good, attention was fine and parking was free. You can walk to two Pisco-makers right next door. There is a small observatory on site and they wanted to offer us a tour, but then the weather didn't work out. That would surely have been a great experience.
The most important drawback is the price - quality relationship. It's an expensive place for Chilean standards, and it doesn't really provide all the services and amenities one would expect for such a price. The bathrooms are small and basic. The cabins are very much centered around a nice bed and terrace, but apart from that are quite simple: one would expect a better working heating system (there is an aircon which works alright, but being right next to the bed people might find the light and noise annoying. There is also a kerosene heating stove which I personally don't like to use), a comfortable chair or sofa, a place to make coffee/tea, in short, more coziness.
Regarding the general amenities there is a pool but is was too cold to use it, and there is no activity at all apart from breakfast. Would be nice to have a small fire burning, maybe have a bar (at least on weekends) and the possibility to purchase snacks and simple meals.

If you're looking for a unique place from which you can enjoy the Elqui valley, I highly recommend Elqui Domo - unless you have a significant physical impairment, as the accommodations are up the side of the mountain. The domes are toward the bottom of the climb, while the cabanas are higher up. Of course, the higher up, the better the view - including of the stars, which is half the reason to go to the valley in the first place.
I loved my cabin. There's not much for furniture except the giant, incredibly comfortable bed. Any time I wasn't in the bed, I was up on my roof deck, which had a table and a bench seat, gazing at the sky and wishing I actually new how to take decent night sky pictures.
I really loved this place. The one thing that I think could easily be improved that would have a impact on perceived value is better toiletries. It's amazing how some nice body wash and lotion can really make things seem more luxurious.
