1/2 block from beach.

Condo Banana is a 1 br/1 ba private condo located in the heart of north Tybee Island. A popular beach getaway with all the comforts of home: WiFi, flat screen smart TV, cable, full kitchen w/ most essentials, laundry room, free off-street parking and private entrance. 1/2 block from the beach. Less than a block from stores & restaurants. 3 blocks from Tybee’s famous lighthouse. Basic essentials, beach supplies and charcoal grill are provided. Dog friendly!

Amenities:
We provide dish ware, cookware, utensils, blender, drip coffee maker, coffee filters, detergent, soaps, paper products, bath towels, linens, shampoo/body wash and some beach supplies.

Beach Supplies:
Beach chairs (quad folding), one beach wagon and one cooler on wheels.

Guest Access:
The entire condo, laundry room and front yard is for guests. The street side half of a large grass area, located to the right of the condo, is also available for parking.

Interaction with guests:
We use door codes instead of keys, so guests can conveniently skip check-in and enter upon arrival. The owners are available for guest needs but will not be present.

Neighborhood:
The condo is conveniently located 1/2 block from the beach, restaurants, and shops. The beach access point is located to the right of the house, 1/2 block down 2nd Ave.

Getting Around:
Everything on Tybee is within 2-3 miles so there is no public transport. Tybee does offer golf cart rentals, bike rentals, Uber and cabs.

Other things to note:

I want guests to make an informed choice when booking, so I try to list every detail that I can. Please don't hesitate if you have any questions.

-This is a one bedroom condo, not a large condo. It’s not a space for several people. The photos provide a good idea of this size.
-Condo Banana is separate (not shared). It has its own (private) outside entrance, porch & parking.
-It's part of a larger house with 2 other condos.
2 condos on the first floor & 1 condo on the top floor. This is the front half unit on 1st floor, so it shares a wall with the back half unit. The 2nd floor condo is not directly above this one, but their parking & entry stairs are next to one wall of this condo.
-The laundry room is shared by all three condos + housekeeper and is located at the back of the house.
-A/C for this condo is controlled by 2 window units. We provide several heating options for the winter months: space heaters; a ceramic heater; a radiator; plus the LR window unit has a built-in heater, which works very well. 1-2 of the heating options are more than enough for the space.
-Condo Banana has its own small fenced in area w/ table & chairs located at the front of the property.
-The temps on the shower dial are reversed.
-The condo has its own parking area that can fit several cars. There are plenty of metered spots nearby for parking prior to check-in or after checkout.
-Charcoal grill, some beach supplies and basic essentials are provided. The beach supplies include: beach wagon, cooler & chairs.
-Guests will need to provide charcoal, beach towels, beach umbrellas and any food/drink related items.
-This home is equipped with a Minut sensor. A device designed for STVR that alerts hosts of possible house parties. Minut does not record sound or video--only dB averages, temp & humidity. For more details, visit VRBO or Minut website. Thanks!

I wanted an authentic cottage for my city escape and this was exactly it. Easy to park, walkable to the best restaurant on the island (Sundae Cafe), ice cream, and bike rental (so you could explore the rest of the island). I loved that bringing my dog was not an issue with any extra paperwork or fees. My only complaint would be that the bedroom smelled of cigarette smoke from when guests smoke on the patio. Otherwise, I loved that the window units kept the place nice and chilly! I also loved that the fridge was sparkling clean and had fresh, clean ice!

The banana house was a great place to stay in Tybee, a few minutes from the beach and most rental places for bike, golf carts and a few good restaurants. Better than a hotel as you get your own space without all the hassles that comes with a hotel. There was clearly some thought and care put into the space and my wife and I enjoyed our stay and plan to use this place again in the future.

The condo is perfect for one person or two adults and two small children or two teens as the Banana has one bedroom and foldout couch. We loved it for me and my best friend and our two girls...The inside has all new amenities but the front outside table,two chairs and bench seat and umbrella need to be replaced very worn out. And also some decking boards and some new steps and i would give a five star 🌟 cause its a hazard if one should fall through the decking boards. But everything worked out for use as we were careful in where we stepped own the boards. But we plan to book again soon again cause the location of this condo is great. We rented a golf cart due to parking is very expensive. Thanks for giving use a great place to be safe and rest after a long day at the beach....Happy Banana Customers from Tennessee.....

We really enjoyed the banana suite at the coral house. Had all we needed for accommodations. Room was clean and decorated nicely. Short walk down to beach restaurants and stores. Definitely would stay there again if we go back to Tybee

Great way to experience Tybee. I was traveling with my dog and the property was perfect. Small yard and nice, pet-friendly area for dog walking. Everything you need and nothing that you don’t. Would stay again.

Stayed at this property on a business trip and decided to bring my dog with me. Really liked the location as you can walk across the street to restaurants and also back roads to Jaycee park and to other locations. Also like the vacant lot adjacent to the property where you can walk your pet, as pets not allowed on the beaches. Will stay here again if I can get it!

Property was clean and well equipped, but right off the street with so much noise from construction. Pricey for just 17 hours. In the pics it appears that you can get a view of the beach but that’s not possible. All in all it was good for one night.

My husband and I stayed two nights and enjoyed this place very much. Very clean and had everything we needed. Parking was right beside the little front porch which was nice. Cute place, quiet area even though it is close to the main street in Tybee Island. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach without crossing any streets. We highly recommend this condo for a couple or small family (kids can sleep on the sleeper sofa). My husband, who is normally not a beach person, was very impressed and wants to come back! As do I. 😊

The house was prefect for a quick get away, we loved how close we are to the beach. It was just down the street so it took less than 2 minutes. The beach is for locals so no busy crowds. We loved that they did not charge a pet fee and our girls loved the pull out couch right next to the tv for kid movie night.

If you love being able to quickly walk to the beach and not cross traffic or worry about parking, this is perfect! Also very dog friendly so an extra added benefit. The apartment is described perfectly, fits a couple just right. I probably wouldn’t bring more than dogs unless you really love your family bc it’s cozy! We were able to walk to most everything.

Such a great rental property steps from the ocean. A quick drive to downtown where most of the restaurants and shops are. The space was perfect for the two of us and our dog and had a great beachy vibe. Instructions to access the property were easy and it had a binder of "need to know" inside. Highly recommend this beachside vacation rental.
