Beach Haven: If you haven't been to Beach Haven, you're missing a real gem. A village towards the southern end of LBI, it's the center of activity. On the ocean side are uninterrupted white sand beaches for as far as the eye can see. Every street provides access to the beach!! Enjoy surfing, boogie boarding, kite flying or just plain relaxing. The bay side has several marinas. You can rent boats, kayaks, wave runners etc. The newly reopened Surflight Theatre providing high quality live theatre at the beach is only 2 blocks away. Go to the incomparable Fantasy Island - part amusement park, part children's casino. Next door is the water park, all right in the middle of the Village. Take in the night life on the boulevard, a play at Surflight theater or an open air concert at the village green. Restaurants, shopping and live music venues abound. Enjoy the sunset from one of the decks of the restaurants by the bay just down the street from our home.
Long Beach Island: LBI is one of the barrier islands off the Jersey shore. It's immediately north of Atlantic City. The extreme southern end of the island is a nature preserve - part of wildlife management area that extends to the wetlands on the mainland. Each community on LBI is different and has its own distinct flavor. Visit them all - Holgate, Brant Beach, Ship Bottom, Surf City, Harvey Cedars, Loveladies and Barnagut Light and, of course, Beach Haven. At the top of the island is Barnagut Lighthouse. Climb to the top or just enjoy the views and atmosphere. Marinas, parks, restaurants, historical museums and specialty stores abound. There are virtually no chain stores on LBI. Experience the home grown talent. Rent kayaks, wave runners or even sail boats. Try parasailing from one of several locations. LBI is a cyclers paradise. You can do 18 mile trip (the length of the island), casually cruise on the bike paths of Beach Haven or anything in between.
The Jersey Shore: From your base in Beach Haven, there are many fun day trips.
There are boats trips from the pier at the bay at the end of Centre Street - dinner cruises, private ship for kids or fishing trips.
Further down the coast are other shore communities - Ocean City, Sea Isle, Avalon, Stone Harbor, Wildwood and Cape May. Each has a very distinctive atmosphere. You can experience the fast paced night life on the boardwalks of Atlantic City, Wildwood or Ocean City, enjoy the Victorian atmosphere of Cape May or just the restfulness of Avalon and Stone Harbor. For the environmentally minded, there are kayaking Eco-tours of Little Egg Harbor, the open spaces of Island Beach State Park and many ways to explore the intracoastal waterways. If you're not satisfied with the size of Fantasy Island, try a trip to Six Flags in Jackson, NJ about an hour away with Kingda Ka, the fastest roller coaster on earth, the huge water park and the wild life park.

This property is within walking distance to everything. In early October it is quiet which was exactly what I was looking for yet all shops and restaurants were fully functioning. The weather was perfect for long walks, biking (bikes are provided by the owner), walking about town and enjoying a hot cup of coffee first thing in the morning on the beach.
I only gave 3 stars for cleanliness because there was a miscommunication between the owner and cleaning service so the place was not cleaned prior to my arrival. Nonetheless it was tolerable enough that I requested to not have the cleaning done while I was still there. I would definitely stay here again!

This house is in the perfect location to walk everywhere - the beach, the bay, restaurants, water park/mini golf and shopping. Comfortable inside and out. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Lovely home - plenty of space for our family of 4. Very well located - easy walk to beach, bay, restaurants. Bob responded promptly to all of our questions. Would rent again!

The house was perfect, close to beach, shops and restaurants. We parked our car and left it the whole week. The townhouse was impeccably clean and was perfect for our family. HIGHLY recommend!!

We’ve been coming to LBI for years. This house was a last minute rental and we were thrilled. House is two blocks from bay for sunsets and two blocks for beach. The hosts Bob and Aida are quick to respond to questions and address any issues that arise. House had 4 bikes so our family enjoyed riding around the area. Enough beach chairs and a beach wagon to carry all your beach items. Good size house with everything you need. Once we arrived we didn’t have to drive our car. Near plenty of restaurants, market and shopping. Would rent again.

This property and location was ideal! Close to everything, and wonderfully compatible for what we wanted. We've stayed in a number of properties in Beach Haven, and this was the best! 3 bedrooms with 3 full bathrooms is a rare find, especially one as nice as this. We will be back!

Bob was a pleasure to work with and although the prior tenants took the keys with them, Bob remedied the situation promptly, giving us access via the garage combination lock and having the realtor drop off 2 keys the next day. Beautiful home, location, and fantastic owners, really hoping to rent from them again, our favorite property we've rented so far!
