Amazing views for sunrise and whale watching.

Stunning views, very comfortable bed and bedding, everything we needed.

The driveway was a bit rough all loose gravel but we were fine when we had a hire car, I don’t know that I’d tackle it on a scooter though.

Great stay!

It was very easy to communicate with the owner, Joy. She was very helpful in answering questions and offered a lot of support during the stay. The view from the apartments was amazing, the apartment was clean and had everything you needed for your stay. They even had bread, butter and jam in the fridge for us. Mai’i Villa Apartments has a sister restaurant called Mai’i Cafe and Bar and that had a good vibe and delicious food, make sure you visit!

Nothing! We were expecting the drive up to the apartments to be difficult but it was not too bad in a car.

Stunning views

Had a lovely stay at Mai’i villa apartments. Check in was easy and the room itself was amazing with breathtaking views of the ocean and island. We booked the penthouse apartment for the morning of our wedding so that our groomsmen had a place to get ready and also stayed here the night of our wedding. It was the perfect space, had all the facilities we needed, and was clean and tidy. Thank you for an awesome stay, we will be back.

Stunning location and great value

beautiful views on the hill overlooking the ocean but still close enough that you can walk to the beach. The apartment was spacious and clean and the staff were very helpful. Great value for money. Netflix and Wi-Fi provided free of charge and bread, milk and butter provided on arrival. we couldn’t be happier with our stay at Mai’I villas

Exceptional

we were met afterhours and Jay kindly organized a dinner inside the penthouse. Because of the late arrival we were given the late check out which we appreciate a lot. Joy is excellent! Another great point is the 270 degree view - tropical view on the islands in the Raro lagoon

Great villa with exceptional view close to Muri beach

Location is great. 8 minutes walk to the beach, alongside coconut trees, paw-paw plantation and more. Close to the night market and of course close to Muri beach. View from the villa is what makes it exceptional. You have a 270 degree sea view. The rooms are big, clean and the bathrooms are huge. 2 people easily fit in the shower. Kitchen was not special, but it had a huge fridge, a micro, a gas stove and a few utensils. There was internet, so the "kids" ( young adults) had their daily feeds too. Oh, and the night sky: unparalleled. No light pollution.

A bit more utensils would have been better. Do not forget to start burning the mosquito repellents otherwise you can be easily scratching from head to toes. An awning would be nice in east-facing rooms. As the Sun had risen there is no escaping waking up.

Wow!

Everything. We stayed in the Penthouse apartment, and the first thing we said when we saw the view was WOW!! We had been living in Raro for nearly 3 months, and decided to treat ourselves to four days staying at Mai'i Villa. We pretty much stared at the view for four days 😍 The inside of the apartment was perfect for two people. Comfy bed and stunning views of the sunrise. We pulled our curtains so we could wake up to it. The bathroom was large, and loved the shower. Everything was spotless. We had some friends visit and they've said they will pass on the details of the villa to their family members visiting. It's definitely a gem.

A hilltop haven - giving you a whole different outlook on Muri.

After a few days beach-side it was nice to stay here and enjoy the incredible view across Muri. Lots of space both inside and out, very clean and a delight to stay at. A great spot for families.

Love in Muri 😍

Close enough to the heart or Muri while still being secluded amongst the hillside. Great facilities and caters for all. Absolutely loved my stay at Mai'i and will happily come again!!!

Big presence of wasps. A regular extermination will eradicate them from the beautiful building.

Fantastic views and pool complex, excellent sleeping accomodation with aircon, poor kitchen design.

By far the best views in Rarotonga !!!!!! Fantastic swimming pool complex !!!!!! Big TV with a selection of movies was great for the kids !!!!! Aircon in the bedrooms was superb!!!!

Kitchen was poorly laid out. No food pantry so it meant everything had to go in the fridge. No facilities in the apartment to separate your rubbish into general rubbish, glass bottles, tin cans etc other than to walk outside 50 metres away to the bins are located. I felt the outdoor furniture was okay but not well set out. We had one table with four chairs and another table with no chairs?? No soft cushions for the wooden outdoor seats. I would have appreciated an out door BBQ. My wife complained the dishes were not clean and so she washed them all again, rather painful without a dishwasher. Finding a large cockroach in one of the kitchen drawers did not go down well. We had to spray and clean everything in that drawer.

Wonderful welcome pack (Bread, butter, milk, Jam, Honey, Tea and Coffee, Juice) provided by Joy (Host) and everything you need for self catering including oven, hob, huge fridge/freezer, microwave, cleaning gear. Phone to make free local calls. Stunning location, views and pool. Very handy to Muri Great Blue tooth stereo

Long (500 meters) gravel driveway so you really need a car. Only one TV Channel (grainy due to poor reception. )

We would book this property again is we are lucky enough to make a return visit to the Cook Islands.

We loved the location and the view. The apartment is spacious and airy and had everything we needed. Joy was lovely and welcoming. Her quiet presence was unobtrusive and we felt looked after and that we could have asked her for anything we needed.

The kitchen layout/ bench space is a little limiting but not a big problem as we weren't really there to cook! Nor were we there to watch TV but we did enjoy a couple of movies after dark and found the audio visual system a little difficult to figure out ... perhaps some instructions would be helpful for future guests.
