About this house rental
MOUNTAIN VIEWS ~ INTERNET ACCESS ~ PET-FRIENDLY ~ WALKING DISTANCE TO CHIMNEY ROCK VILLAGE
Location, Location, Location
The front porch offers a direct view of Chimney Rock, the iconic feature of Chimney Rock State Park. The chimney was featured in Arthur Frommer's Sept/Oct 2012 issue of Budget Travel magazine, and the park received the platinum award for Favorite State Park in Blue Ridge Country's 2013 Best of the Mountains travel poll, with voting every five years and covering seven southern states in the Appalachian Mountains.
This home is 2/10 miles from Chimney Rock State Park, 1.7 miles to the Beach at Lake Lure, and 20.1 miles to the Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC).
The entrance to the park is just two blocks from this home. The restaurants and quaint shops of Chimney Rock Village are just around the block. You can even hear the sounds of the picturesque, trout-filled Rocky Broad at the home. There are plenty of places to fish at the river and a boardwalk to enjoy the beauty.
If you enjoy scenic drives, head out of Chimney Rock Village on the scenic and curvy Alt US-74 (Memorial Highway). This stretch of highway in the Hickory Nut Gorge has 14 hairpin turns and runs through Bat Cave, Gerton, and Fairview. Continue toward Asheville to pick up what many consider the most beautiful length of road in this country, the Blue Ridge Parkway. It will add to your bucket list if you have not traveled any stretch of this road. Actor Norman Reedus of The Boondock Saints and The Walking Dead featured the parkway on a 2016 episode of his AMC TV series Ride with Norman (Appalachia: Blue Ridge Parkway, Season 1, Episode 3). Just 1.25 hours from home and five miles off the parkway is Maggie Valley, home to the Wheels Through Time transportation museum that features rare American motorcycles, memorabilia, and a distinct array of unique one-off American automobiles.
This home also boasts a small attached garage. The garage, along with paved roads in the area, proximity to the curves of Memorial Highway, and the beauty of Blue Ridge Parkway make this home perfect for those riding motorcycles.
Comfort and Value
Additionally, this Chimney Rock vacation rental home offers accommodations for 4, with two bedrooms and one bath, at a fantastic value. It is furnished with a high-quality and comfortable leather sofa and chair in the living room, unique, locally crafted pieces throughout the home, and some antiques. With your comfort in mind, the homeowners personally selected and placed each item as though they occupied the home full-time.
Enjoy the view and sounds of nature from the comfortable resin Adirondack-style chairs. At the rear of the home are a stone patio, picnic table, and gas grill, offering the perfect setting for enjoying a meal outdoors. The NASA memory foam mattresses, the 600-thread-count Egyptian cotton sheets, refreshing mountain air, and soothing Rocky Broad rushing waters will bring you back again and again just for a relaxing sleep!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Fabulous location, home is well maintained and well stocked. Thoughtful touches - for example, thick fluffy towels, plumb bed pillows. The property managers kept us well informed while we were there, best we've dealt with when renting. My only negative comment is I wish the front porch was covered; it rained while we were there and we couldn't enjoy the outdoors while it rained. Overall a great rental.

It was a bit challenging to find the house. Google maps were no help really. Clear instructions in the check in box email would have been helpful. Otherwise it was a great stay. Beautiful view. Even saw a bear and her cubs.

Title: A Cozy Retreat with Stunning Views
We recently stayed at this charming house in Chimney Rock, and it exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. Here are some highlights:
View: The view from the house is simply breathtaking. Whether you’re sipping your morning coffee on the porch or enjoying a glass of wine at sunset, you’ll be treated to panoramic vistas of the surrounding mountains. It’s the kind of view that makes you pause and appreciate the beauty of nature.
Location: The house is conveniently located within walking distance to the town. We loved being able to stroll down to the local shops, restaurants, and cafes. It made our stay feel authentic and connected to the community.
Quaint Charm: The house itself has a cozy, rustic charm. It’s tastefully decorated with thoughtful touches that make it feel like a true mountain retreat. We appreciated the attention to detail, from the vintage furnishings to the warm color palette.
Pet-Friendly: As dog owners, we were thrilled that our furry companion could join us. The house is pet-friendly, and our dog loved exploring the nearby trails and playing in the spacious yard. Having a garage was an added bonus for storing our outdoor gear.
Affordable: The price was right for the quality of accommodations. We felt like we were getting excellent value for our money, especially considering the stunning views and convenient location.
Overall, our stay at this house was memorable and rejuvenating.

Came for Spring break and Chimney View was exactly what it was, a beautiful view of Chimney View on a quiet street right above the Chimney Rock Village. The house was adorable and was close to everything. Our two senior dogs enjoyed it as much as we did. Thank you for being pet friendly!

The cabin was great! Very close proximity to Chimney Rock and Lake Lure and was very well appointed. We did a lot of our cooking right at the cabin. 10/10!

Nice location
The house was old but fine, but we found a problem in the bedroom that face the street. We found ants in the bed and we discover that they were falling down from the ceiling. We couldn't sleep on the bed the last 2 nights. Very disappointed. I think the house need better maintenance.

Great stay in Chimney Rock
My husband and I enjoyed this house walking distance to the riverwalk, brewery, and other places in Chimney Rock Village. Everything was as described with comfortable beds, good wifi and clean. It was just the two of us, but I think 4 people would have been fine too. Parking 2 cars would be tight though. The walk back to the house from the main street is up a steep hill. It didn't bother us, just something to consider. We would definitely stay here again.

Great View and Weather
Check-in process was a little cumbersome... no broadband coverage for our carrier (straight talk) to access electronic WIFI and door code information which necessitated a little juggling of location to access. Information was in the read ahead, but I found it easily skimmed over and should have more emphasis based on our experience. The cabin was terrific, view was fabulous, and great weather, directions to grocery would have been helpful, but we very much enjoyed the stay and hospitality.

Beautiful property
The photos do not do this cabin justice, right now, the front yard is in bloom and it is charming.
Everything you need is provided, the location is excellent, a short, 5 minute walk to chimney rock and it’s amenities. I would definitely recommend.

Lovely time at Chimney View
Our family loved the view from the front deck of Chimney view. The backyard was great for cooking out and eating outside. The home was very clean, had plenty of the things you needed to prepare meals, and offered a cool escape from the warm days. We will absolutely return to Chimney View soon!

Weekend trip to Chimney Rock. Excellent location and despite the rain and mist had a great time
Good overall experience. There was a leak. In the roof due to heavy rain but reported it no problem and it didn't interfere with our stay

House was comfortabl and cute. Quiet location but further to walk to town then we thought it would be. TV in living room would not change channels with remote and the sound would.periodically go out. Nice view of Chimney Rock. We could hear the creek water but could not see it. Overall cute place to stay.

Chimney Rock - August 2020 - Almost really great
I’ll start with the positives as I can tell that the owners care about the property and really want their renters to have a great experience.
• Great location just a few blocks from the Chimney Rock village without crazy mountain roads or a steep drive-way
• You can see the iconic chimney rock peak from the front porch
• Good shower with ample water pressure and warm water
• Full kitchen and a nice living space
• DVD player with a wide assortment of movies
• A nice grill with a full propane tank that is well-maintained
• The Carolina Properties staff is very responsive
However, it wouldn’t be fair to future renters if I didn’t call out some negative aspects of the property
• The home is a little bit older and has a definite mildew smell
o This was most apparent in the bedrooms
o I believe property owners are trying as they have a dehumidifier running in the basement and “damp-rid” in some areas of the house
• The oven is old and smoked up the house every time we used it
o We eventually created an oven protocol where we opened screens and turned on fans before using the oven
Ultimately, the positives outweigh the negatives and I thank the owners for sharing their home for a fantastic week in the blue ridge mountains

Chimney View has a remarkable view!!
Our Thanksgiving stay was perfect for my husband, myself, my sister-in-law, & her husband. Directions were easy. The drive was quite enjoyable winding our way into the sweet little town of Chimney Rock. The house was perfectly located for us. Once you park & unload you need only take a quick walk into town for shopping, eating, or just enjoying the sights of the beautiful mountains all around or being in awe of the rushing river. The Chimney View property was just right for the 4 of us. The furnishings were very charming & comfortable. Only wish the other bedroom had a ceiling fan as well - though we picked the one that did! Everything we needed to use for cooking our meals was provided. Plenty of towels, & the use of a gas grill were definitely a plus. This property is very well-well-maintained & clean. The front deck with the 4 chairs & the amazing view of the grand Chimney Rock was our favorite activity. PLENTY to do in town for all of us - if the grandkids had come, they would have lots to do as well. Best 4 day vacation we've had by far!! Excited to plan another visit to this property in the very near future!

Nice cabin feel and comfortable furniture. Nice rooms. Kitchen was great.
Lots of beautiful wood but decor is mild. I wish the lighting was not all those dim cold grey light cfl bulbs.
We would stay again though
