The hotel was an absolute mess reception looked part built, although some parts were okay. The corridor was in a poor state windows missing, wall paper peeling, The hand fell off the bed room door as we opened it, there were cables everywhere, switches that didnt work, there was NO cold water, the cold water tap didnt work nor the cold water in the shower/bath, so we couldn't shower or wash properly, we had to use our own bottled water to brush our teeth.

The staff were helpful.
Room was tried and in a need of redecorating, wall paper missing , shower rail rusty . no plugs in sink or bath.
No mattress cover

The only good thing about staying at the SK Baylis House Hotel was the comfort of the bed
The fact we couldn't get Breakfast as no Facility for it. Which was a Big let down for me as I'm a Type 1 Diabetic

The room was not fit to stay in. To small everything falling to pieces. Very Dirty shower room
Every thing. Neighbouring room playing loud music at 0130 am . Party very loud the next day til late. No warning given.

Location was ideal for where i needed to be.
Plenty of parking.
Friendly Staff.
Not a 4 star hotel, it was more of a hostal. Large functions everynight causing lots of noise, carpets and decor in poor condition, stains on the wall, dodgy shower but worked. Bed sheet wasnt fitted so kept coming off also with no matress protector. if you want somewhere cheapish and not fussy then this will suit fine but if your expecting a 4 star you will be in for a shock....

Staff very friendly...
We got a room for 3 ..it smelled like mold...a very stuffy room the window had a view of a completely dirty and abandoned place the sofa bed was broken..we asked to change rooms immediately .. second room was better but.. we got a share bed.. the double bed was really unconfortable
the second room was little bit better but the extra bed was very small.. the double bed could feel the springs..the pillows very thin..the fire alarm sounded twice ..first at 5am and then at 6am morning some guest was smoking in the rooms... just terrible..

We had two rooms boked. First room my daughter & partner refused to stay in as it had not been cleaned very well.
Second room which I walked in to was already occupied! Alternative room given, the door was only attached by one hinge and was neither safe nor secure.
Rooms generally to a poor standard. Have stayed in better B&B's.
Give this hotel a wide swerve - it is nothing like its description, generally quite run down. DO NOT STAY HERE!

The attached restaurant served really nice food and the park attached to the side was nice for walking.
The initial room was infested with ants and the staff just told us they had no rooms left so to leave and get a refund, but after I asked if everyone had checked in they found us another room which was dirty and had coca pops spilled all over, no plug in bath or sink and stains and grime in multiple areas on the carpets.

The site the hotel on is interesting, seems to be some sort of old Manor house thing. Part hotel, part wedding/events venue. Plenty of parking.
The room was fine, seemed clean and good amount of space.
Bed wasn't terrible, I've slept on worse
Shower deceptively decent
There was a pizza box and empty takeaway bag left at the entrance to my part of the hotel the entire time I was there.
Man at reception seemed surprised I wanted to check in
The hotel isn't particularly well maintained, simple things like the silicon around the shower and architraves look like they'd been done by someone who'd never done DIY before.
Room smelled a bit of smoke when entering but went away
Blinds in the room are a bit odd and if there's any breeze coming through the window they just bang about making a lot of noise
Either the TV didn't work or the batteries in the remote (which had no back) were gone.
Difficult to fill the kettle up due to the angle of the tap.

Beautiful settings and looked amazing on the outside
No bar or room service

Nothing
Struggled to park due to a party,
Horrible carpet very dirty
Dirty bathroom
Sleeping on the bed felt like sleeping on nails the springs were all i could feel,
The window would not close so most of the evening all i could here was music and road traffic

The drive into the property looks very promising
The rust coated curtains rail, the mould smothered shower curtain, the blocked shower drain.

The pictures on booking.com do NOT reflect the hotel, it’s dirty , not maintained and the grounds are a mess.the only thing available on the to was Netflix that appeared to be streamed via someone called Daniel and Katie ??????? I would not recommend this hotel to anybody. DO NOT GO

The room was supposed to be a Deluxe Suite 1, this was. not the case…on entering the room, you was hit with the smelt of smoke, I pointed this out to receptionist and he said the window is open, as if this was a acceptable solution to the problem, then he left.
The smell was so strong I had to open all the windows, which still didn’t help. I later discovered where the smell was coming from….a bottom draw in the dressing table
had cigarette ash in it. I cleaned it away myself with wet wipes. I’ve attached photo below. later that night I was also woken up at 1am by the guest leaving the wedding playing loud music and tooting their car horns in the car park outside my room. i called the receptionist to complain, he said they will be gone in 10-15 mins. I said they have been playing music outside for 10 mins and I’ve got to be up at 5:30 for work, I have paid to stay here….He apologise d and then did nothing ! Guest leaving the parties should be informed not to toot horns and play loud music in their cars when leaving the venue late at night, as this is a noise disturbance to hotel guests staying at the property.

The location.
Room heating system not working, no cable tv and customer service is bad.

Looks grand with old charm, Good stay- small room but very adequate and good value. I stayed only for few hours only though. Very friendly staff. .
From Airport though about 20 minutes by walk to Train station I had to take a cab. Instead if the hotel takes some steps to include in their advertisement about train connectivity and arrange a pickup from Slough station the hotel would be very very popular.

Not a lot
Rooms shabby, the outside noise in car park meant you heard every vehicle at 6am. Staff not at all interested.

stunning building to look at especially when lit up at night
building work that was going on so some areas were let down

reception man was rude and unhelpful
2.0
The rude staff can’t help as they don’t understand English , no bar or restaurant as advertised , dated rooms, rundown building, toilet not flushing properly, not enough towels provided. Completed joke of a place a complete let down wouldn’t give it any star rating! So 4 is just a joke like advertised

nothing
every where was massy
