Excellent! Delicious!

Very nice and friendly
Good view from roof top
Food Good though it is expensive and not a lot in quantity as normal in gastrononic hotels
So if you would like to eat a lot, better find other places
Children option is very good, though, as well as breakfast
We wish we had more time to explore the area
A bit strange design of the room - toilet/ bathroom separated just by glass wall, not door so you do not have privacy
It is very uncomfortable as all other things are very good at hotel
Also, finding this hotel in the town could be quite tricky. It is not very well signposted and quite confusing if you are driving and have never been there before. I could suggest driving through town very slowly as you can easily miss the turn, and as roads are narrow, it is not always easy to reverse back

Large rooms, comfy bed, and creative design.
Marcos, the front desk manager, was welcoming and helpful; a real gent!
The hotel is tired, both in design, and vibe. While the rooms are spacious, the finishings are cheap.
Also, the restaurant was a disappointment; both in terms of food and wait staff. Two dishes were sent back, as they were inedible. Neither the waiter, nor the kitchen seemed to care. The only bad meal I had over my week-long food/wine trip through Rioja and San Sebastián. What a shame.

The hotel design, staff service and great rooms.

Comfortable bed, good shower , parking, breakfast
Lack of atmosphere in the hotel, bedroom & bathroom looking tired but that could be the decor as it’s polished concrete was clean but needs a deep cleaning
Outside space also needs a tidying up

The hotel is a lovely stylish property with lots of funky touches. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable.
Very well located in the beautiful region of Rioja. Staff were helpful too.
The main restaurant is a bit lack lustre and needs re-designing and updating. We only had breakfast in there because of that.

Great roof terrace. Breakfast also quite good
Restaurant was lacking some atmosphere although food was good.

Helpful and courteous staff who gave guidance about things to do in the area especially around the small wineries.
Dinner and breakfast both excellent

stylish hotel, good food, helpful staff, quiet location in village amongst the vineyards.
halls were dark. on purpose, I realize, but tended to make one feel a bit down, walking through.

Its a modern building in a very quaint town. The hotel is very well designed with great terraces to enjoy drinks. The rooms are very big and spacious and breakfast is included. They had bikes that you can use free of charge so we were able to explore the area and local bodegas.
We booked a triple room as a group of three friends (3 adults on the booking) and we had a room where there was no door on the bathroom which made showering very difficult as there was not a lot of privacy. Our friend had another room which did have a private bathroom so it would have made sense for us to have a room similar to hers. Also the coffee machine at breakfast is not good and extremely slow, you have to wait like 10 minutes in line to get a coffee.

The interior design is interesting. Breakfast was varied and tasty.
Everything is concrete, therefore it is cold and humid. The smallest noise made by neighbours is very easily heard.

The sleepy town of Villabuena de Alava!
we found the hotel in need of attention and refurbishment .Staff levels were insufficient and we found many staff to be disinterested in their work .The breakfast left much to be desired and on trying the evening meals these too were very limited!

Location and facilities were amazing with a lovely on-site restaurant for both breakfast and dinner.
Booked a winery tour but did not realise that it was self guided and several of the wineries did not appear to be interested despite the tour being a tad expensive for what it was.

great location
The breakfast was too limited choice for this class of hotel
The swimming pool was closed already mid-sept + not part of hotel (public infrastructure of village)
The loading pole was difficult to get working (each time again multiple resets were needed)
Hotel infrastructure ready for a facelift (eg: outside paintings+ terrace sunshield both worn-out)

village v quiet so no other options for dinner.

Absolutely amazing architecture and a beautiful room. A really stunning hotel. A delicious evening meal with a great wine list.
The breakfast was a bit disappointing. It is OK but just not as special as the luxurious space needed. All very self-service, even the coffee, which didn't taste as good as everywhere else we went in Spain.

brilliant modernist almost cubic big room and integrated bathroom. v knowledgable and kind staff. arranged a brilliant local wine tour. all in all an excellent hotel!
vinotek was closed - one of the reasons we chose this hotel! had hoped to use the guidance of the Vinotek staff to navigate the tours of the local winyards. restaurant ok but not brilliant. exterior a bit tired

Bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was very good.
There were three of us in the room and the bathroom was an open plan; there was no door, very little privacy. No one had told us it would be like that.

Beautiful location and style of the hotel . Beautiful rooms
The food was poor to disappointing.
we had 2 dishes of tagliatelle that were truly awful - so bad in fast that I felt pretty unwell during the night after eating it.
My other 2 family members had burgers that they said were good .
Overall the menu was disappointing however even if the style of the restaurant was very very nice
The bar was also poor. We had 2 draught beers both of which were flat

The hotel was great although, architecturally, it looked a little out of place in its surroundings. Great location for wine tasting tours and having their own wine tasting was a bonus. Friendly staff with good English language skills. Restaurant food was good.
I only have one thing that I thought was not up to standard and that was the limited menu. We stayed for four days and had tried most of the meals available. If you stay for a shorter period, this would probably not affect you. I would like to say that the meals we had were excellent.

Very good looking
The air conditioning in the room didn t work and on top of that it kept making noise. The night we slept here, because the AC did not work we had to sleep with the window open and there was a lot of noise from outside (music and cars).

Modern concept hotel. Well located if as we were you are travelling from Mediterranean coast across Spin to Santander ferry.
An hotel that grows on you. Set in the tiny pueblo of Villabuena. Evening meal was tasty local produce & excellent local wines.
Excellent buffet breakfast
The hotel is built in the post modern cube design.
Not a bad thing but the rooms are huge and although comfortable (the shower is amazing) a bit stark.

Everything was amazing! Staff super professional! Location is great!
7.0 / 10.0
friendly staff, quirky design (although the bare concrete walls are not for all), pretty and quiet central village location
nothing much although the place felt understaffed, especially the restaurant. not much to do in the village on a Friday pm as everything was shut.

Relaxed location for a few days in the Rioja
