Für den Preis war es gut!

Die Lage ist sehr gut. Zentral gelegen. Sehr gut erreichbar. Das Hotel hat eine hervorragende Küche. Das Preis / Leistungsverhältnis ist gut.

Der Fernseher hat nicht funktioniert. Der WC Deckel hat gewackelt.

Würde diese Unterkunft nicht mehr wählen und auch nicht empfehlen

Man konnte auf den See schauen, wobei die Strasse dazwischen ist!

Es hat im Zimmer sehr nach WC-Stein gerochen! Wir waren zur Strasse, diese ist sehr befahren, wir mussten das Fenster schliessen, es war sehr laut. Leider konnte man das Fenster nicht kippen. Man konnte vom Zimmer auf die Terasse, wenn man nach links oder rechts gelaufen ist, konnte man in die nächsten Zimmer schauen, es gab keine Abgrenzung. In der Nacht habe ich den Nachbarn schnarchen gehört.

Schönes Hotel in bester Lage

Tolle Lage direkt am See! Große Terrasse und sehr gutes Essen im Restaurant. Leckeres Frühstück 😁

Unser Zimmer (114) hatte nur eine Terrassentür ohne Klarglas. Das war ein wenig beengend. Viele Ameisen im Zimmer.

Potrebbe migliorare

Buona posizione per chi vuole visitare la Svizzera ticinese e restare in Italia o la sponda orientale del Lago Maggiore. A 30 minuti circa da Lugano. Comodo il ristorante pizzeria all'interno della struttura.

Manca la possibilità di fare mezza pensione con il ristorante annesso o, comunque, di avere una convenzione/scontistica dedicata ai clienti dell'hotel. Segnalata qualche formichina in bagno (ma ci può stare visto che alle spalle c'è una montagna piena di vegetazione) e la fastidiosissima doccia a intermittenza bollente/ghiacciata. Insomma da curare alcuni particolari per essere al top.

La réceptionniste était très souriante et positive, nous avons été très bien accueillis. Rapport qualité/prix, petit-déjeuner et diner excellents Établissement propre et très jolie vue de la terrasse sur le lac

Le personnel très aimable, serviable et sympathique; la chambre spacieuse, les petits déjeuners, le rapport qualité prix, la proximité de plusieurs centre d’intérêts mais nécessitant un véhicule, la propreté et les repas très bons au restaurant pour un prix très correct. J’y reviendrai

Schöner Aufenthalt an dem ich wieder kommen werde.

Wir hatten ein sehr schönes Zimmer mit Seeblick. Alles war sehr sauber. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war lecker und der Kaffee ausgezeichnet. Das Restaurant bietet feine Speisen. Das Hotel ist schön gelegen, direkt am See. Ich komme im März wieder, weil es mir so gut gefallen hat.

Breakfast cereal that has sprouted.Cake was dry and still sprinkled with powdered sugar. Definitely the worst hotel exp

Heating in the room starts from 20-23h. We froze. I do not recommend it to people with small children. Given that I am allergic to dust, I had to personally wipe the dust in the room. Bathroom full of ants.

Convenient parking, restaurant on premises is excellent and many TV channels in English, which I welcomed after a long journey. Staff were terrific

DO NOT GO THERE DURING WINTER

Restaurant looked nice.

It was super cold in room. They dont run heating all the time. We had to wear clothes and cover over our heads while sleeping. We changed 6 hotels on our trip, just this hotel was super cold inside.

we didn’t sleep there, we couldn’t get in. Nobody was there, we called many times, no answer. no key for apartment nothing

they left us outside with kids,we needed to find another hotel. we want our money back please we are so desperate from this

Nice hotel, great staff, but location [entirely] hidden from sunshine.

First, hotel staff were great. Always very helpful and did everything they could to assist. Second, big terrace facing the lake on two sides of the building is a massive attraction; they could have turned this into more rooms and have larger capacity. Really nice to have this space though. We ate at the hotel restaurant and ordered quite a lot of food. Every dish we ordered was quite delicious, especially the *massive* rib-eye which was also incidentally cooked to perfection. Breakfast in the morning was good, nice variety of cereals, cakes, croissants, juices, and good coffee delivered by the staff. Parking easy and extensive, although the entry and exit of the parking were a little uneven/bumpy, could be improved/flattened.

1. I booked the 'Superior triple room with Lake View Terrace', so was quite disappointed to find that our lake view was *only* the terrace; it required us to go out onto the [shared] terrace to see the lake at all. More disappointing was that other rooms had direct forward-facing view of the terrace/lake so why we got the 'crappy' version, I'm not sure. For info, Room 106 sits on the corner and has both forward (lake-wise) and side windows/lighting so that's the one to ask for if booking in future. 2. The hotel's location is true to its name 'Grotto' - it sits up against a hill facing northwards, so gets no sun at all the entire day, though maybe in the middle of summer there is something in early morning/late evening. I arrived at 14:00 and we left around midday the next day, and not once was there any hope at all of getting any sun on that nice lake-facing terrace.

If you need a res and quiet, it s not good be to in middle two rooms who has pats and small children. i don t have peace between two family ho make loud. And the balcony must be separate, we can not drink caffe in private.

the staff was very friendly and the food very delicious.

the room we stayed in didn’t have a window, no good air circulation. The shower was too small - the whole bathroom doesn’t pass todays standard, sorry.
