Very good

5 stars for the location of the hotel and the beautiful view from the garden. We had a good breakfast and the staff was nice.

Minus one star for the room. Ours had carpet, I don't understand how there can be carpet in a tropical humid climate! Overall, though, it's a decent hotel for a short stay in san jose.

Overall a fantastic place to stay after flying in from San Jose. Would definitely stay here again!

The view on the back lawn was absolutely breathtaking, serene and the epitome of vacation. Also the breakfast was perfect and the staff was very kind and accommodating without exception.

Walking in the local area was a little tricky for non locals. Felt a tiny bit uninviting.

Breakfast was decent. Bed was comfortable. Facility was clean.

Rooms look much larger in the photos. Noise from motorcycles climbing the nearby road was excessive. Breakfast was good, but dinner was not. We ate there two nights and pork loin the first night was Ok, but seafood risotto the second night was horrible. Worst two meals we had on our three week trip to CR. Manager offered free desert, but damage was already done.

Beautiful and welcoming

Beautiful hotel with friendly staff. Very nice decor with good attention to detail. The view of the city was incredible to see with an evening drink. Breakfast was great and had a good selection. Free shuttle to the airport was also a great addition. Staff were very responsive to our questions and helped organize things

No complaints. We didn’t have a car so it isn’t the easiest place to get to, but we knew that when booking. Ubers were relatively easy to get.

Beautiful property to rest and recover from travel.

Corner room #23 seems very private and has a nice view of the pool and the city. Bed was most comfortable of all we had in Costa Rica. Shower space was good. Staff was gracious and helpful, especially Lucia at the front desk, who helped us with transportation across town when Uber was unwilling to take all our luggage.

Presentation of food was nice but quality was average. Location is wonderful for views but requires a car or transport to go almost anywhere else. One restaurant was within 1/2 mile walk.

A comfortable place to stay not far from the airport, but away from the hustle and bustle of San Jose

The pool is much smaller than the wide angle pictures would have you believe

Exceptional

My husband and I were especially pleased by the helpful, friendly staff. Very nice, thoughtful people. The room was comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was good.

the view, very clean, the coffee trail and the best pina coladas! the breakfast was amazing, also had the chicken and rice for lunch which was very good as well. it was very quiet during our stay due to slow season.

we thought the dinner menu was lacking, should have more typical options and more flavor over all.

A great place for an overnight stay or as an airport hotel! Very friendly staff!

It was a beautiful period property. Massive rooms with usual amenities and a nice balcony.

We didn’t find any issues with the hotel.

Good location, but over priced hotel (and restaurant)

Nice bath room, good beds. Good location to visit Poas volcano.

Small and cold swimming pool (not heated). Very expensive dinner menu for relatively standard meals with not that high quality. You better go somewhere else. Lady at the reception was informing us wrongly about travel times to Sarchi. Tax was charged on top of the amount specified by Booking. This was not mentioned in the booking process, neither the confirmation. After complaining we got the tax amount refunded (although still waiting for the refund).

the room was too expensive for how little it was. not worth it!

I liked it was in the mountains in the city

the lack of accommodation upon arrival. our receptionist was in a hurry to get off work and was not accommodating.

Exceptional

The hotel is unique, the design absolutely beautiful. I would definitely stay here again. Close enough to the airport but set in a spot of nature within the city. Perfect for your first and last nights in Costa Rica or anywhere in between.
