Sehr schöne kleine Anlage direkt am Strand mit tollem Personal!

Wir hatten in dieser sehr schönen, kleinen, ruhig gelegenen Anlage die gemütliche, gut ausgestattete Villa am wunderschönen Strand. Im Garten, am Strand und um den tollen Pool gibt es Hängematten, Liegestühle und Sitzgruppen. Das Personal ist großartig: hilfsbereit, freundlich, präsent aber nicht aufdringlich. Beim Frühstück konnten wir zwischen verschiedenen leckeren Angeboten wählen. Abends und zum Lunch ist die Menükarte sehr abwechslungsreich. Wir haben alle Gerichte ausprobiert und waren begeistert: reichlich, lecker, sehr schön angerichtet. Alles kurz zusammengefasst: MEEEGA!

It was a pleasant, low-key ending for our trip in Costa Rica.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were comfortable. Really good guacamole. :)

Only disappointment was that the cabana were were put in did not match the pictures which made it look like it was on the beach and next to the pool. We are in the cabana farthest away from both and right next to the road. Still a very pleasant stay though.

Best 37th Birthday ever!

The entire staff!! This was my first time in Costa Rica and it was my birthday. They had complimentary champagne and even a slice of cake for me. The scenery was amazing, lots of beautiful flowers and thick lush bushes and trees. The pool was a size, warm, deep, and was amazingly beautiful at night. The property was peaceful. I will be back again! Thank you to the staff for the welcoming service and kindness everyday! The service was phenomenal. Shirley, Ricky and Daniel, Thank you!

Paradise. First class

Paradise. First class treatment as soon as you drive into gate flanked by lions and walk by the hedges circling the blue pool. From our cottage we could see and hear the ocean. The room was decorated creatively and well appointed. Staff respected your privacy and breakfast offered five variations as well as daily specials. There are only six rooms and everyone was discreet so it was like staying at your own beachfront resort.

Disappointing

The property is located in a beautiful area with direct access to an incredible beach. The pool and restaurant seem lovely and the added yoga classes are great.

We were extremely disappointed to find that the two bedroom villa was at the back of the car park, next to the street and had a completely different look and feel to the other houses. It seemed as it was added as an after thought, it was damp inside and very smelly, low ceiling, very dark inside and had no windows for the main bedroom. We couldn't accept the conditions and moved out after the first 30min - luckily we just went to the hotel next door. The staff was understanding and we got a refund for all but the first night. It really is a pity because the rest of the houses seem lovely. Just a warning for those booking the two bed.

Amazing beach location and superb service - this place is a real gem

Fantastic location right on the beach. very chilled out vibe with great food and exceptional service. we had a small problem with our room and it was rectified very quickly. Lovely pool area; everywhere was spotlessly clean. We all felt staff went above and beyond to make our stay special and it truly was. we would love to go back!

The best beach location in Costa Rica for relaxation. Owners and staff couldn't be any nicer. The rooms are what I would call rustic chic. Gorgeous beach and excellent pool.

We enjoyed that it was very remote. Everyone working was friendly. The pool was nice, the beach area was nice. We loved the yoga class.

A no stress quick Pura Vida stay.

Encantada is very quaint, wonderful employees, a good breakfast, and a very good location to the beach. Just what we needed after a long flight from the U.S.

Beautiful location, friendly staff, worth the money

Loved that there weren’t many people around. It was very quiet and peaceful. The vibe was absolutely amazing and I loved the fact that we were right on the water.

The villa itself was nice, but the beds were a little uncomfortable and I had trouble sleeping because there were a lot of bugs in my room. Then again, we are in the rainforest!

Very responsive staff. Location is great to visit lots of sites fro the crocodiles in Tarcoles to the whales and monkeys in Manuel Antonio. You can also hang out at the sweet little hotel with pool, wide beach, watching baby turtles hatch (and helping them to the ocean) shelling, volleyball, Slack line, corn hole, yoga daily, horseback riding on the beach at sunset and great little hotel/restaurants a walk down the beach. We had a car to get out a bit but we were there two weeks and wanted to visit friends in the mountains. Drive from San Jose not bad.

Gorgeous stay, definitely will be coming back!

Small, intimate, gorgeous setting. Our cottage opened up right to the hammocks and the beach. It was stunning and the staff was wonderful. Delicious fresh fruit smoothies and cute resident kitties to hang out with. Shout out to Daniel, Alfredo, Arnold, and Tiffany for being so warm and welcoming.

Secluded area was nice but that meant dependence on the hotel for food, and many of the things offered on the already small menu were not available. Room was beautifully decorated but could be cleaner.

Beware if you were expecting a pet-free environment. We were misled.

The place is nice, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the food was good.

I chose this hotel because the house rules said they don't allow pets. It was a bit more expensive than other places, but I was willing to pay extra for this rule alone. I also had to sign a paper that reaffirmed their no-pets policy. To say this was misleading would be an understatement: A black cat was sitting right in front of the hand sanitizer at the reception desk. The receptionist claimed that it was a stray cat, but we noticed it had a collar. That same night we went to the restaurant and were shown to our table, only to find another cat asleep on the very table where we were supposed to eat our dinner. The cats do this with guests every day, so waiters don't flinch as it's considered normal behavior. I do not doubt that most cat lovers wouldn't mind this behavior and would have a great time here, but I booked here with the expectation that there would be no pets as advertised. Perhaps the rule only applies to guests and not the hotel owners, but I also saw a guest walk up to the restaurant accompanied by a leashed dog, so that theory is out the window. An additional note: we're coffee lovers and can say that their coffee is horrible! They seem to buy the staple/generic coffee from PriceSmart, which tastes awful, and then add cinnamon to try and mask the toughness. If you are new to Costa Rica, please know that Costa Rican coffee doesn't taste anything like this and leaves a wrong first impression on tourists.

This hotel is amazing! Really nice staff, nice and clean rooms, great beach and pool area with a lot of activities such as yoga, surfing, petanque, small hotel which make it a personal stay where you get to know the other guests.

There are not that many restaurants or any city nearby but you don't really need it if you only have a few days since the hotel is so nice and you don't want to leave it.

Really good food, super friendly staff and cute cats. Room is comfortable and well decorated . We didn't have a chance to do the yoga class or surf because we stayed only one night but the area is so nice, right in front of the ocean. Lovely beach. Highly recommended

The perfect chill-out location for a time to truly switch off from reality !

Great location-- just a few steps from the beautiful black sand beach and the roiling Pacific Ocean. Then just a few steps back to the peaceful pool and the bar/restaurant. Great staff: Restaurant staff Daniel, Roger, Jason, as well as Shirley the receptionist, and the other maintenance staff were so very helpful, gracious, efficient and friendly. Great restaurant: outdoor dining under a covered deck; plenty of choices on the menu; a truly wonderful chef. Great ceviche: the fish and shrimp ceviche is superb. Great guacamole: probably the best we've tasted.... and homemade tortillas! Great yoga instructors: Brytta & Bella are well trained and know what they are doing -- and are very helpful resources for local places to visit. If they don't immediately know an answer to a question, they will quickly find out. Great landscape: lush and beautiful flora; relaxing hammocks under the swaying coconut palms. Lots of hummingbirds and iguanas playing hide and seek in the shaded areas. Their massage therapist Erica is excellent -- we had our massages on our patio overlooking the ocean! Extremely private and quiet (save the occasional barking of the perros next door !). Two resident cats Nala and Osiris are very friendly and personable! A total relaxation experience !

Only two criticisms: Beer and wine selections are lacking -- suggest adding a robust selection of craft beers and better wines. Refrigerator in room could be bigger & newer.
