Mukava, pieni hotelli palvelualttiilla henkilökunnalla keskeisellä sijainnilla.

Sopivan runsas aamiainen takkatulen äärellä. Puuro oli hyvää, ja kaikki muukin. Yhtenä päivänä viidestä oli pannareita, kerran croissantteja, kerran paistettuja kananmunia, jne. Joustava henkilökunta; sauna-aikaa pystyi toiveiden mukaan vaihtamaan aiempaan. Pesukone ja kuivausrumpu kiva juttu.

Sijainti on muuten keskeinen, mutta näköala on heikko, koska rakennus on rinteessä lepikon vieressä. Varasin hotellin bookingin kautta, ja oleskelun aikana kävin trivagon sivuilla, joissa ko. hotellia kutsuttiin itsepalveluhotelliksi. Tiskaus toivottiin tehtävän itse huoneessa. En tiedä, olisiko roskatkin pitänyt viedä itse. Mutta bookingista varatessani en varannut itsepalveluhotellia. Varustuksissa lukee ”pesula”, jonka voisi muuttaa ”pesukone ja kuivausrumpu”.

A magical stay in Äkäslompolo at the Lodge 67

We visited Äkäslompolo for one week this March to see the northern lights as part of my 60th birthday celebration. I could not have asked for a nicer gift, or a better place to call home during that time than the lodge. It is perfectly situated so as to not hear any traffic from the main road above, yet walking distance to everything in the village and with a view towards the “lompolo” that is disturbed only by trees, pristine snow and acrobatic squirrels. The minute we walked through the door we knew it was perfect for us. Cozy, welcoming, relaxed and tastefully decorated, with two saunas and plenty of space to relax. The following morning we were warmly welcomed by the owners, Toni and Ninnu, who had gladly taken every measure to meet my partner’s challenging dietary needs and ensure a cozy breakfast experience by the fireplace for both of us - which is not the case everywhere. All of the staff (Mia and Alma) we met during our stay were equally as welcoming and helpful, and made us feel like special guests. Our room was comfortable and clean, and had a kitchenette as well as a drying cabinet - perfect for coming home after an active day out on the snowy trails to make hot chocolate and hang up our wet clothes. The lounge area outside our room was the perfect place to enjoy hot chocolate and write into the travel journal. Cozy and warm seating and even two hanging chairs. We look forward to returning to the area again and when we do, there is no other place we would rather stay than at Ylläs Lodge 67° N.

Lovely stay

Everything was super nice and practical. Lovely and helpful staff. Breakfast was excellent, it was nice to sip the morning coffee by the fireplace. Great bed and silent room. Cross-country skiing tracks and the ski bus stop a short walk away.

There was no oven in the room.

Excellent lodge for a cozy winter holiday

Very cozy lodge with excellent amenities and very friendly owners. I felt like at home, but with better breakfast :-) all important locations are within walking distance, cc skiing tracks start very close, and the skibus stops right in front of the house. Perfect!

super authentic interior in typical local style, location is among the best in äkäslompolo given walking distance to market area, lake and slopes. very friendly staff, cute breakfast buffet at a fire place.

Perfect cozy winter getaway

This place was the best choice we could have made for our magical trip to Lapland! The staff was amazingly nice and helpful with great tips for the area. The location was really perfect, right in walking distance to the lake where all the tracks go. Furthermore, the private sauna was amazing and in perfect condition, and the free rental of fat bikes and kick sleds was really cool! On top of it all, breakfast was always simply delicious!! Thanks for a great and unforgettable place in this calm and relaxed getaway! :)

Exceptional

This was the coziest hotel I have ever been to! Any interior design magazine/documentary should go there and get some inspiration. The decoration is beyond description and done with so much love. Especially the breakfast room is pretty with a chimney fire already in the morning. Breakfast was nice as well as the rooms. Everything clean and cozy! We arrived when the reception was already closed, but the self-check-in worked well and easy.

Will definitely book again when at Ylläs

Great lodge with cozy atmosphere and attention to details, very nice staff well knowledgeable of activities in the area. An excellent alternative to standard hotels at Ylläs. Mini-kitchen in the rooms a nice additional feature.

Superb

Very nice small lodge and super friendly and helpfull staff and owner. After a day spent out on the fells and forest it was nice to return back to enjoy the nice sauna facilities. Nice breakfast can be enjoyed in front of a open fireplace👍

Customer service was excellent, the room was really clean and cosy. Booking.com made a mistake with the breakfast but the staff kindly solved the problem. Highly recommended!
