Location and privacy was only positive.

This is a beautiful log cabin! Setting is quiet and picturesque and easy to find. The house is well maintained and has everything you need. We cooked in all nights and enjoyed the firepit in the cool spring weather. On arrival house was immaculate, beds made and towels set out. They provide a book of brochures on what to do in the area. Not to miss- the North River bakery right down the street! They have a great selection and even have prepared family meals to go. We will be staying again!

We absolutely LOVED the log cabin escape! Such a beautiful home and such a beautiful location! I can only imagine the beauty at the peak of the winter season. Our 2 grandsons, 7 and 10 had so much fun playing in the huge yard and making s'mores in the fire pit at night. Cozy, but not cramped as there was plenty of room for the 6 of us to stretch out. The quaint town of Wilmington is just a few minutes away for your shopping and dining needs. We look forward to the opportunity to stay again!

We had a lovely stay at the rustic log cabin. It was in a very peaceful setting and I was able to take nice long walks around the area. It was a nice time all around. The only thing I missed was having a dishwasher but otherwise, it was all very good!

Very cozy log cabin. Spacious enough for 6 people without feeling crowded. Enjoyed sitting in the rockers on the front porch.

We loved staying at the cabin. It had everything we needed, games, stocked kitchen, privacy, space. The view of Jacksonville pond was a pleasure to enjoy while drinking my coffee on the porch. The internet was a little spotty but if no one else was on it, the tv streamed fine and my husband was able to do his zoom call with no issues. The local general store was great and make sure you check out the ledges while in the area. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an out of the way getaway!!!

Jacuzzi Tub did not work, trash can was half full
Of bottles and cans from last people there. Climate system did not have functioning A/C the floor vents were filled with fiberglass batting.
You’d think a summer rental would advertise that there is no working A/C if a system is not installed. The place was fairly clean but you can tell it was cheaply put together. Definitely not worth the price this cabin looked like something out of a catalog you put together on a foundation. There was a gap big enough in the wall in the bedroom that you could see the light coming through from the bathroom. The Queen bed feels like you’re going to fall through it. I could have paid the same money for a quality hotel with a functioning jacuzzi tub and a toilet that doesn’t wiggle around when you sit on it. Also the water view is a pond that is almost barely visible from the house due to all the brush and trees.

Nice property. There was no AC so we had to spend most of the time in the basement level.

Biggest complaint is having no internet access. We reset the router and tried several different carriers with no service. This made it difficult to communicate as well as verify the check out time so we we’re unprepared when the cleaning crew showed up on our last morning there.

I knew when booking this property, that Jacksonville has no cell reception. Not a big deal if you have internet…. but for the entire stay, Friday-Sunday, we had NO internet or TV service. With 3 kids who just want to relax and watch a movie/tv after a long day of skiing, this was hard… I obviously couldn’t contact anyone about Friday night when we arrived… because we had no service. So on our way to Mt Snow around 8:30, I reached out via the Vacasa app and email to let someone know. Danny got back to me around 12:30, I called him back and he told me he would let me know when they would send someone out to take a look. When we got back from the mountain around 4, nothing… We went to friends for dinner- i called the number from earlier 3 times- they let it go to voicemail. I find this acceptable especially because of the cost as well. Service is important. I didn’t feel safe not having any connection to internet or cell service. I also knew that even though on vrbo/vacasa it says ski in/ski out that it wasn’t… but just fyi for others.

Nice get away
Property was a fairly nice secluded cabin and overall it served its purpose quite well. A few complaints like others mentioned the ceiling fans are caked with dust, there are also some sizable pot holes in the driveway. No dishwasher but on the other hand the kitchen was stocked really well.

Family time
My family and I stayed for a couple of nights. The cabin location is awesome. The inside was clean and had everything we needed and more. The outside was well kept. Everything was perfect. I just regret not booking for a longer period of time because we all absolutely loved our stay.

Quiet, remote, off the grid weekend stay
My friends and I enjoyed this weekend getaway despite the rain! The cabin has three levels and is very cozy and roomy. The wifi does not work really at all and we had limited cell service so it is a true off the grid experience! The cabin was clean except for lots of dust build up on the fans. We adventured around the property and down by the small pond. Would definitely stay here again.

So, this is my first review that I’ve left online for anything. I don’t like to resort to leaving a review if an issue arises and prefer to work with the owner or management, but in this case, they have been uncommunicative to say the least. We arrived and we started unpacking, but the main bedroom had no working lights. All kitchen light bulbs were out as well. I found a box with three light bulbs left and replaced what I could. Over the short time we stayed here, surface areas were clean, but once you look closer, you notice how dirty things are. The 3 ceiling fans have literally 1” of dust / dirt on them! I have 5 ceiling fans in my house which we’ve been living at for 6 years. We have (maybe) cleaned them a couple of times and ours look pristine next to the ones in this rental. There was dried food stuck on silverware and dishes, so bring your own paper plates and utensils. In light of Covid-19, you would think keeping a rental property clean was a priority. Apparently not. One big issue was the internet and TV. We were able to connect with the password to internet and TV, but nothing worked properly. We could not send texts or emails (had to rely on poor cell connection), and the TV would freeze in order to load every 1-2 minutes. My husband unplugged the modem and restarted it numerous times attempting to fix with no luck. We tried using one device at a time and it still wouldn't work. Why would you list internet as an amenity if it doesn’t work? This was supposed to be a working vacation for my husband and he was unable to conduct any business at this home. We had to leave the property after one night in part due to no internet. We called and emailed Vacasa several times. There is no direct line to Vacasa’s Vermont location or the owner. You have to go directly through the main Vacasa line and they leave a message for the Vermont office. Their response to my email was to try one device at a time to see if the internet worked. They also stated they had no other properties available for us to stay at. We had reached out to them two other times by email to try to discuss the issues we have had and received zero responses. All the owner or Vacasa had to do was communicate and try to assist. We will pursue further action and will bring in our lawyer if we are not contacted to try to resolve these issues.

Overall, this place was very nice. The grounds are lovely, and feel more intimate than they look in the pictures. Great firepit, and my kids loved climbing on the big rocks all around. The house itself is new and snug, with lots of sleeping space. There is a general store just half a mile away which had everything we needed for our stay. Our main issue was the main living level, which was much more cramped than looks from the pictures, and packed with furniture which made navigating the space and moving around the kitchen challenging. There were just two adults and two kids, and we had trouble moving about; I can't imagine navigating it with a house full of people. Well equipped in some ways (lots of pans and storage containers, a laundry basket and detergent) and off in others (broken trash can lid, no drying rack for dishes, empty boxes of food wrap in the drawers, no remote for one of the two tvs) which probably reflect the difference between a management company overseeing the place and an individual owner. Most of these small details were just irritants but didn't really affect our stay--it was a comfortable, new house with fresh furnishings and lots of outdoor space.

The cabin was even nicer than the photos. Our kids absolutely loved the spiral staircase to the loft bedroom. They spent a lot of time hanging out up there while I spent my time on the porch, enjoying the gorgeous view. The property has a lot of room and privacy. It is well maintained and comfortable.

Lovely cabin. Great for groups of 8-9 people. Close to recreational activities like ziplining, kayaking, etc. The kitchen was fully equipped too, which made cooking meals for everyone super easy.

Cabin
The cabin was beautiful, spacious and private. There were only two problems. 1) the heat was on 56 when we got there and it took several hours to warm up. 2) even though there were 2 televisions the one downstairs had no remote and no cable or satellite connection and the one upstairs only had streaming which was not working well at all and we were unable to get any standard television channels. Besides that it was great
