Excellent location - slightly away from the city traffic at the same time right in the middle of the city. Easy to find transport to any part of Kolkata. Courteous staff & clean room.
Breakfast was very average & basic. Nothing to write about.

Room is okay. Location is very good. Staffs are good.
Food is not available at the hotel.

El alojamiento es basico, pero limpio y todo funciona
Pica información por parte de la recepción para un turista.. pero igual muy amables

The location was great as the Park St. was 2 kms away. We preferred to walk and taxis in bad weather. The pleace was a bit difficult to find at first as it is located at the back side of an apartment complex but once you learn it you appreciate it as you are far from the noise of the main street. The place is also very close to a metro station if you are planning to use it. There are many eateries and other food stores on the street.
The staff were great. They served wonderful breakfast and fruit juice each day. They also let us use their refrigerator to keep our drinks and fruits cold.
One of our rooms was facing a line of buildings dating from 1920s and there were flying foxes right next to our balcony. It was an eerie but interesting sight to see as we watched these bats fly around when the sun was setting.
The common place, with sofas and a large dining table was very great to use during the day as we needed to do some work with computers. Rooms also had desks but the spacious common space was a relief.
The elevator was very old, small, smelly and kind of dangerous as you needed to be very careful closing the metal fence manually.
We heard rats running along the roofs outside but did not see any. Do not leave anything on the balcony as it may invite rats or huge bats.
There are not many historic places within walking distance but tuktuks and taxies are many and can take you to Birla Mandir or Park St. for cheap. You can walk but I do not recommend using Google Maps navigation.

1. Polite staff
2. Prime location
3. Pleasant interiors
4. They arranged an iron and ironing stand on request quickly
1. Breakfast was below expectations. There were only a few vegeterian/vegan options available:
- One bowl cut fruit + 1 banana
- Plain paratha, which was cooked in oil and had good amount of oil in it, and aloo bhaji
- I asked for curd, that wasn't available either
2. There was a little dust in the room, so cleanliness could have been better.
3. Less value for money.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Red Arrow Residency in Kolkata for two days. I was traveling for work and needed a place to stay that was both affordable and comfortable. Red Arrow Residency definitely fit the bill.
The residency is located in a quiet residential area, just a short walk from the metro station. The apartment itself is spacious and well-furnished, with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The bathroom was clean and modern, and the bed was very comfortable.
The best part about Red Arrow Residency was the staff. Uttam, the caretaker, was incredibly helpful and friendly. He went out of his way to make sure I had everything I needed, and he was always willing to answer my questions.
The breakfast at Red Arrow Residency was also excellent.
Overall, I had a wonderful stay at Red Arrow Residency. It is an excellent choice for travelers who are looking for an affordable and comfortable place to stay in Kolkata.
Considering i was there for work and not fun , there was nothing that RAR needed to do differently .

The room and ambience reminds me of 80's movies inside my grandmothers house. The place is almost like a family house turned air B&B- the charm is there. Room is spacious!!
need updates on facilities specially the bathroom area

Behaviour
Filthy smells of towels and Toilet...room is not comfortable.

Given how close the hotel is to the sites, the transport network and the general hustle and bustle of a major city, it was quite the haven. My room overlooked a wooden area and was as serene as could be. The breakfast is also varied with the Indian option changing daily. This sort of thing makes all the difference if you're staying for longer than a night or two. I very much appreciated them making me an earlier-than-usual breakfast before a flight when many hotels wouldn't bother.
Not much to fault, really.

Clean, simple, and reasonably priced accommodation in a good area close to the Metro, Chowringee, the maidan, and lots of food outlets from street to high end restaurants.
Our room had a balcony with a view out over tree tops and fantastic old Raj era buildings. The best aspect is the quietness as the guesthouse is set well back from the buzz of the main street, down a narrow walled lane.
The breakfast is simple but adequate, either Indian or toast, jam and eggs etc with a plate of fruit and tea/coffee. The staff are professional, unobtrusive, and will help with advice and onward bookings if needed.
We stayed here on two separate occasions for 4 nights each time and it served our needs well.

The owners were so nice. It is a family run business. The hotel room was so cozy, quiet, and beds were very comfortable. The room was so clean and the Indian breakfast was good too! When you get to the property, walk down the driveway to the second white building. Talk with the security guard and he’ll help you on the old-school elevator to the 5th floor! This is where the hotel is. I’d recommend this place to anyone! Really thankful we found this place. Cozy, safe, and clean!! What more could you want?

The room is perfect, very comfortable. Location is also good, near the subway. Breakfast was nice . PS its difficult to find (esp at night). You will have to enter a small hallway/street with security guard left to the sign. At night the gate is closed.
The only minor remark is the laundry service was incredibly expensive. The only option was dry cleaning. Would be great if they could option a cheaper option in a regular washing machine and then drying in the sun.

Location is great, in corner of Maidan and few steps from metro station. Nice and helpful staff, good breakfast.

The staff were kind and helpful. I liked the common breakfast area. It felt more homely. A nice quiet space. They also let us check-in early. The complimentary breakfast was also quite nice.
I wish the room was slightly bigger with a couple couches.

Perfect place for a nice and comfy stay! located at 5th floor so it’s very quiet, soundproof walls, all essentials provided, tasty breakfast (2 options to chose from), dinner available if needed. In the surrounding area you will find a lot of shops, bars, restaurants etc. Walking distance to Park street or Victoria monument. Friendly and helpful staff! First hotel in India that I could really relax! Highly recommended!

Location of the property is the best point. You are accessible to any part of Kolkata.
Good service.
Breakfast need to have more options.
Bathroom was not clean. It needs deep cleaning.
Basis the room size and facilities, price seems to be on a higher side.

Thé breakfast was good. Hot water in thé shower.
Thé room could use a bit of fresh Paint and some renovation. Thé bed is also quite hard.

Good accommodation at a reasonable price in Kolkata is legendarily hard to find. This was a great surprise. Very well located close to the metro and Rabindra Sadan, but down an alley so very quiet. It's a converted floor of an older apartment building, but everything works well, and the staff are very friendly. If you don't want high level facilities, but just a simple and very comfortable place to stay, take this one!
