A great little cottage in a good location in Southwell. The host Janice was lovely and couldn't have been more helpful, even supplied some food and drink essentials for the stay. Would certainly recommend.

The owner saved us the closest parking space as it was raining.
The property, particularly in the small childrens bedroom was dirty, lots of black mould. The owner had positioned a couple of cushions to try to hide the mould. When we started looking we found thick dust like it had never ever had a proper clean. We tried to contact the owner (Janice) via text message, booking.com messages and wattsapp so we could remedy the situation but we were ignored. We left and requested a refund but were ignored until the next evening (25 hours after our first message and we'd already returned the keys) when we finally received a very long ranting message which completely failed to mention the mould and hugely criticised us for not being happy with it. Overall not a great place to stay and not a great host. I recommend you look elsewhere. Loads of road noise, no hair drier, plenty of black mould on the skirting boards. Oh yeah, and booking.com requested a refund for us but Janice refused it so we don't get it, so booking.com don't offer you any protection from this kind of thing.

The most perfect quaint place to stay. Exceptionally well presented with everything you needed, even a box full of goodies for breakfast. Perfect location for exploring surrounding areas and lovely walk into town.

Excellent. Just what we’re used to
The duvet on the bed was a bit heavy and hot for August . We would have liked a much lighter weight duvet.

This accommodation was double booked, and as yet i have had no refund of the £190 paid!

I thought it was very well stocked - we appreciated the toiletries and kitchen/breakfast hamper.
The beds were both comfortable and there were lots of local leaflets/books for
inspiration. It was nice to know that the owner was just next door if
we needed anything and she was extremely accomodating and helpful. Beautiful garden.

The central location was excellent for accessing everything Southwell had to offer, literally just a short walk away. And the garden; small but perfectly formed, a bit like the wren who made a regular appearance. A pleasant plac to sit with tea or wine, morning or evening (I was very lucky with the weather!).
I could have done with a few additional bits and pieces of cookware (I prefer to prepare and eat in when I'm away rather than eat out) and the parking was a bit hit and miss. There was ALWAYS a space, sometimes a little further away than I'd have preferred (but then I am getting on a bit!).

Beautiful little apartment with plenty of space; Janice as a host was wonderful in welcoming us to an inviting location, tucked away down a little alleyway, which offered all the amenities you could ask for along with some peace and quiet despite the central location.
Don't be fooled my Maps, for it has determined this stay is located somewhere down Nottingham road. It is in fact pretty much exactly on the Notts rd./Westgate corner!
The shower head could use an upgrade.

The cottage apartment is practically palatial with high ceilings and there seemed to be everything you'd need to stay properly, even a few board games. We only stayed a couple of nights but could easily have stayed much longer. The cottage is only a short walk (5-10 mins) to the cathedral and shops etc on the High Street, but we were provided with a few breakfast goodies and treats that were lovely after a journey.

Host was very helpful.

Lovely cosy cottage tucked away behind the main road. Greeted by hostess after a telephone call.
Extremely comfortable beds affording a great night’s sleep.
Very clean with excellent facilities.
Extra touches made it special - tray of breakfast goodies, plenty of toiletries,
coffee, tea and milk. Even a box of chocolates!
Lovely little garden at the front.
Ideal location.

We had a terrible journey up from London on a Friday, but Janice was very patient with our ever changing arrival time. She managed to save us a really good parking spot out front which was nice after the long drive. Janice then spent time telling us all about the local sites, walking areas and good little shops in town.
The flat is really well done. Everything was so cosy when we arrived. The beds are great! I slept very well the whole time. The whole place is very clean and spacious. There's a little garden out front as well which is really cute and even in winter very appealing to look at.
The flat is very well positioned for walking into the centre of Southwell. I knew nothing about Southwell so really enjoyed getting to explore. We went to an amazing secondhand charity book shop and I found a book I'd been searching for the past several years at a bargain price! The Minster is also really beautiful to visit and walk around. Especially at night when they hold service inside - you can hear the organ and the people singing away. Hauntingly beautiful as you meander outside through the graveyard. Southwell is also a very dog friendly place. Lots of dogs everywhere. Great places to go for dog walks as well.
I really enjoyed the flat, Janice is a lovely host and Southwell was a good place to explore and visit for the weekend.

What a fantastic apartment. Have just returned after a weekend in Southwell and had the best time. Janice was so friendly and helpful and we were warmly welcomed. The apartment is spotlessly clean and has everything you need. Lovely homely touches, a wonderful basket of welcome goodies and fresh milk in the fridge. Felt so at home and slept extremely well - definitely the comfiest beds I've stayed in when travelling! The location is perfect too, everything within easy walking distance. Cannot recommend this little gem of a place enough.

Perfect location for us and very well presented, clean with everything required.

Although there was not daily breakfast, a nice basket of items was provided that did go a long way towards "continental" breakfasts for the 3 days we spent there. With just a few more items from a store, used the kitchen for several meals. The host was friendly and explained how things worked. Seemed quite secure/safe with the entry being from in interior courtyard. Was quiet. Easy walk to the cathedral and center of town.
No air conditioning or any fans that we could see/find. Fortunately, weather was mild during our stay. The address is misleading, as the entryway is actually around a corner facing another street so once there, you may need to call the host to actually find the unit. Although there was a real and well equipped kitchen, the unit lacked a proper dining table so needed to either lean over a coffee table or just hold plates in our laps.

Janice was very friendly and the flat was really well appointed and kept. Lots of welcoming touches as well.

The property was spacious, the host very helpful and on hand, well equipped and located in a quaint square with very pretty terrace. 5 minutes walk from Southwell’s amenities.

I loved the tranquility of the village and the cosiness of the quaint little cottage/apartment,everything was just perfect for my getaway & the added bonus was allowing my 2 little gems (dogs) to stay and they also loved the peaceful getaway.Janice, was the perfect host, when i arrived Janice had put on the heating which made it very cosy, there was plenty of little extra's,bread cakes croissants orange juice & real butter! There was an array of cutlery & crockery,it really was like home from home. The bed was super comfortable, there was plenty of towels too.
Janice was just a phone call/txt away if i was to need anything, her knowledge of the village was very handy, although during cvd most places were closed, but there was a lovely park for the dogs just a stone's throw away.
I absolutely loved my stay and would definitely recommend this place. I certainly would book again.
There was nothing to dislike.just perfect!
