Fabulous old chateau and gardens
Nothing!
3.0 / 5.0
Owner was very friendly. Spa was small but nice. Dining was excellent. Quiet. Charming reception and dining rooms.
Room not at all as advertised! In photos rooms appear large and well appointed however ours was rather sad and small room with furniture full of bumps and scrapped paint. The bathroom was cheaply appointed like a budget hotel and with budget shampoo and soap.. The carpet was like a cheap casino. We love class but the quality just wasn’t there across the board. Even the bedding was rough.
Gardens could also use some improvements as appeared little maintenance and upkeep over the years- shame as could really be an asset!
Also despite staff giving us a hard time about spa rules, other guests did as they pleased: we observed that no one took showers before entering (unlike us).

Food was excellent, lovely grounds
Entrance steps and room was on the small side and suffered traffic noise.

The location was very nice even though the hotel had a bit a rotten charme.
The staff was not very friendly. We had to choose when and what to have for breakfast the moment we arrived. The breakfast was not very nice.

excellent little spa and Turkish Haman - we enjoyed the privacy booking and, of course, the gourmet dinner was delicious! loved the house champagne!

Beautiful chateau. We stayed in the Pavilion, which was great with our dog, as it had direct outside access. The spa was very relaxing and dinner was spectacular. We loved that our dog was welcome with us at dinner and breakfast.

It was very good

The hotel could become much better if the rooms were renovation/redecorated. The room was large enough but poorly decorated except for the new bathroom. The room was not worth the cost.
The condition of the room.

The room was quaint. The grounds were pretty.
We arrived unexpectedly late(round midnight), unfortunately without contacting ahead of time to inform the owners. They were not happy to see us.

beautiful hotel in an amazing setting - comfortable and quiet. I would go back without hesitating... highly recommended
since we hadn't reserved dinner before our visit, there was no room in the restaurant for us which meant that we had to go into town. They sent us a note to see if we wanted to reserve, but since we were travelling we didn't receive it

The room was exceptional—behind a fake bookcase in the study. The grounds were outstanding as was the restaurant. We ordered the six course chef’s surprise dinner and thoroughly enjoyed each course. Very helpful and personable staff.
Nothing not to like

Charming chateau estate with great garden
Reception staff was not very welcoming and solution orientated, we selected in the booking 2 seperate beds and promptly received an email, that this can not be guaranteed. Only after several phone calls we obtained the required room type.
Every contact with the staff was difficult, they could not speak english and had not the customer need in focus but standardized processes without any extra mile for the customer.

Staff is very friendly and welcoming, food was excellent
The overall atmosphere was quite stiff, the place didn't seem very open and running; there is a nice terrace but it seemed very closed untill we asked, that already makes you feel less 'at home'. The room itself was not too special, the bathroom was not properly cleaned, and there was no fridge in the room.
3.0 / 5.0
The room was ok, but the very plus is the garden, which is wonderful and very curated.
We stayed in the dependance in front of the main building, in the underground floor and way less cool.
We weren't be able to use the toilet fan, or open the window, which results in a lot of humidity in the room after every shower.
