Great place to stay

The staff were absolutely amazing- couldn't do enough for us.

A little disappointed they don't have facilities for evening meals but we managed ok with eating out. You can order in and eat it there but please- don't use Deliveroo!!!

Friendy, helpful and welcoming.

Great location, the staff were amazing. Staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. Made to feel very welcome. Breakfast was lovely and set us up for the day. Super location and great for a base to use to explore Chester.

Surprisingly good !,….would certainly return..

Modern, simple basic design..well equipped, clean….had parking. which was particularly important to me….very well located , within a few minutes walk of the city centre and next to the racecourse…if I return to Chester, I would say here.

Breakfast routine and layout reminded me of school canteen…food fairly basic, but adequate I guess…and was included in the price…(which I hadn’t appreciated….don’t think it was mentioned when booking)… but overall this isn’ a very serious criticism

Ideal location for Chester

Lovely stay, everyone is friendly and helpful, second time staying here. good gluten free options at breakfast, it was a bonus with having car parking facilities. location only 5 mins walk to centre.will definitely be returning again.

The room was warm at night. The room needs better lighting near the long mirror.

A good place to visit Chester from

Room comfortable - staff very pleasant - breakfast very good - would stay again.

Only problem was on Friday night - a group of young men were staying in the rooms by us (an annexe of 6 rooms) They came in at 2:15am with lots of slammimg doors and phone calls in the corridor- annoying!!

Breakfast was absolutely terrible. Staff were not very friendly & I don't agree with them not accepting cash.

Wedding Anniversary trip

The staff were extremely helpful We were looked after on our wedding anniversary

Good ciy location with parking

Good parking, friendly cheerful staff. If you want to avoid the uphill walk to main sites on a short stay, the open top bus stops outside this hotel. Excellent breakfast. Be aware no restaurant, but plenty of local places to eat. Evening bar available.

Location was good but there was quite a long hill to walk up to get into the centre. Some staff were very friendly others, shall I say, rather military. Room was good.

Slept well, ate well, walked to town.... all excellent

Slept well, Breakfast excellent - they just kept replenishing dishes as required. So handy for town centre, walking to excellent tea shop and fudge shop in under 15 minutes. No driving required and car in a safe, free car park on site. Very clean. Helpful staff.

Would have liked 'twin' beds instead of sofa made up. I slept well on it, BUT found it difficult to get in and out due to metal bars from the sofa mechanism which I had to climb over.

This is a clean hotel and conveniently situated for the city centre but is fast becoming tired like so many hotels today

Clean and convenient

The usb ports in the wall sockets didn’t work and all the fittings in the shower were loose, so much so that a shower was virtually impossible as the shower head hung limp at the bottom of the bracket which was hanging loose from the wall. The soap dispenser also was hanging off.

The room and hotel generally was enough to want to stay again.

It was clean and tidy. The staff were both professional and approachable

The breakfast let it down somewhat. Not much choice. The bacon was to salty, the beans were cold, there was little in the way of prepared fruit that is always available in other hotels.

Short visit for Xmas Fair. Loved the city and would come again

Room was very good with a comfortable bed. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast had everything you needed

My only moan is the fact that the plates were cold and not warm so my food went cold quickly other than that very pleased.
