About this house rental
his part of Florianopolis (South) is quiet and romantic, unlike the rowdy North. The property has an infinity pool (and large deck) and private access to the public beach, offering total privacy and comfort while at the same time allowing for enjoyment of a beautiful beach. Views are stunning, as the property is perched somewhat above (in front of) the beach and benefits from a privileged panoramic position. The top room enjoys an especially lovely and romantic view of the sea. Three other rooms provide comfortable space with frontal view of sea/beach too. The natural setting with lots of nature around provides a nice and comfortable place in both summer (sun) and winter (fireplace). All bedrooms have 1 air conditioning unit in each (the living room is too large and airy, so air-conditioning units are only working as fans).
Guest access
The whole house, of course. Entrance is through the street level (above). Stairs lead down 1 flight of stairs to the house entrance. The public living areas are on this level (living and dining rooms, kitchen, fireplace, barbecue oven, lavabo, deck and swimming pool). The 3 double bedrooms are one flight of stairs above and enjoy sea views. Room 1 is en suite, rooms 2 and 3 share a bathroom. Room 4 is half a flight of stairs above (must descend to use bathroom), has glass ceiling and walls and offers stunning views. A private entrance is also available via beach (natural light only, best during day). Beach access through stairs is easy and bright during the day, dark at night because the house in in a protected area(!). Deck area is similarly bright during the day, obviously less at night (protected conservation area) but with lovely romantic internal pool lights. Internet is available and is free.
The northern end of the island is known for having expensive party clubs on the beach. The center of the island (near the airport) is home to surfing hang outs, attracting the backpacking crowd and students. The southern part of the island is more popular with those looking for a relaxed, quiet, romantic or family vacation. Beaches are quiet yet interesting for surfers too. Local restaurants and pubs offer pleasant and affordable fare. On the south-western side of the island, there is a region with numerous oyster restaurants (good, fresh and cheaper than elsewhere). Cooking at home is also an attractive option, as privacy is valued by many. One must visit either the local fishermen on the beach early in the morning or the local fishmonger for fresh catch. Alternatively, shop in the islands' large supermarkets in the center of the island or the smaller ones on the road leading to Pantano Sul.
