Fantastic location
The fact that no one came to meet us for check in, and they hung up on me twice while trying to retrieve our keys, only for a lovely receptionist in another hotel we would have been left on the street he got us sorted even thou he was busy checking in his own guests.... Our apartments didn't have kettles toasters as stated and after check out they took money from our damage deposit because we left cleaning supplies and toilet rolls and water we had brought in apartments for next guests for there use.... We had to walk a long distance to retrieve our keys and return then even thou they knew we had elderly and disabled people in our party of 9

Enjoyable stay somewhat tarnished by rip off, crooked apartment owners RENTALMAR - don't use!
Balcony space was great and if we positioned the seats correctly, we had a great sea view about 75 metres away. That's the only real reason we booked here, as well as getting a reasonably priced two bed apartment (well, reasonable before Rentalmar ripped us off!). 30 minute walk to Salou centre.
Key pick up is 3 miles away in Salou. Rentalmar (owning company) asked us for 6€ tourist tax in cash when we arrived. We showed them a copy of the confirmation from booking.com which said it was included in what we'd already paid, which was expressed in euros on the confirmation. They said it wasn't, and that they'd actually charged a lower amount of euros to my credit card. I couldn't disprove this, so we had to pay or we could not stay. They had us over a barrel. On returning to the UK, I checked my credit card statement, and the charge they made before travelling was in sterling, not euros. There was no conversion on my statement. So we have no proof of what we paid in euros before we travelled, only sterling. Furthermore, the charge was made illegally using dynamic currency conversion (DCC). DCC converts a charge in euros to the currency of the customer's credit card, in my case, pounds sterling. Rentalmar carry out DCC because they can add a commission charge to what you pay, which is extra profit for them. But the law says they have to tell you what the charge in sterling would be, and give you the choice at that point as to whether to be charged in euros or sterling. It is illegal to just carry out DCC without the customer's express consent. But they did. And based on what the woman at the Rentalmar desk told me they charged in euros, they added a charge of about 10% for converting the currency. My credit card provider charges 0% on euro fx transactions, so I would never agree to DCC as I get VISA's wholesale rate! Rentalmar are basically thieves, who no doubt do this all the time to beef up profits. Booking.com didn't want to know and haven't even answered my email of complaint on the matter. Apartments are run down/have seen better days. Widespread damage to doors, pictures frame were broken, sink and toilet cracked, light fittings missing frosted glass fronts. Very scant equipment in kitchen.

Apartment was only just ok, but the location was lovely.
You just step onto the beach, which the first week in September was quite empty
The number of glasses, cups, sheets and other facilities didnt match the number staying, the upkeep on the apartment wasnt great, either.
