It was suitable for our needs and reasonably priced compared to what else was available in the area

The unit was very spacious and well provisioned. Quite Liked the system of booking your private use of the spa which in addition to the pool extremely clean

The lack of wifi which we knew However we expected to be able to hotspot off our phones. The phone bandwidth was not even enough to download the newspaper

Relaxing Hidden Gem

Very quiet. Staff friendly and very helpful, but also gave us our privacy. While the accomodation is not brand new, it had everything we needed for a relaxing family break. Comfortable beds and furniture, cooking resources etc. The kids 7 &8 were entertained by the range of included activities such as bike riding, indoor heated pool and spa, canoeing and feeding the kangaroos.

Fabulous place to unwind!

The property is so peaceful. We loved the pool, animals and water activities. We rode our bikes around and the kids enjoyed exploring the property. It was very relaxing.

Overall good, wasn’t a long enough stay.

Quiet and relaxing. Good privacy with views and plenty of wildlife around.

Furniture a little outdated. BBQ wasn’t very good and everything stuck to the pans. Spa closed quite early too.

Loved the location. The owners were lovely - very accommodating with any questions we had. Lovely set up of the cabin and having everything we needed. Kids loved all the activities they had onsite. Very friendly and lovely people.

If you wish to have a pleasant stay with unique experience, this is the place to be.

We knew the location, very isolated, from the review we read prior to booking. Therefore, it was not a surprise when we got there. It's literally in the middle of nowhere. But that's precisely what we wanted to do, being away from everything. And as it is located in the bush, we could see wildlife roaming freely. We saw a couple of kangaroos mucking around (or mating?) just outside our front porch. It was rather special. The management supplied us with kangaroo feeds and bird feeds for the first night, and for a gold coin we received more of the feeds for the second night. My wife was initially unsure to be so close with the big kangaroos, but after a few attempts enjoyed feeding the kangaroos and got to understand their temperaments. It's nice to know that the development of this retreat is balanced out with caring of the wildlife. The kangaroos were not shy, but the birds and swans were. And oh, on a clear night, don't forget to look up to the sky! With no light pollution, in the pitch black, this place is perfect for star gazing!

The mattress is too soft for me, I prefer slightly firmer mattress for support.

D The location was perfect, secluded yet not far from what you need. Staff were amazing, so friendly and attentive. We loved being able to feed the kangaroos and array of beautiful birds outside our cabin. Highly recommend, we look forward to staying here again in the future.

An amazing place!

It’s set on a beautiful bush block beside the lake. There are kangaroos everywhere who are very friendly. There is also a jetty leading out into the lake. The bed in the Sea bird room is the most comfortable bed I have ever experienced!

Overall we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

We enjoyed the lake view and the animals that came to feed. The pool and spa were a favourite activity.

Everything !!! location , free activities like boating , swimming , bicycling etc. Love love love our stay , kids enjoyed it alot, kangaroos are so friendly .

Lots of spider webs and flys in the lounge . Must take insects spray with you.

Great place to getaway and relax away from busy tourist areas. Kids loved feeding the kangaroos and birds.

I thought that the lake area might have been nicer for swimming but it was quite reedy and didn't really have any sand to play in for the kids. This is probably normal but as someone who doesn't live anywhere near the beach I pictured the lake area to be more beech like still. The pool however was great and so the kids still did get to swim.

Loved it, would be wary about booking on really hot humid days.

Loved the location and really enjoyed the pool, was clean and tidy and beautiful over looking the Lake. Loved having the seed to feed the animals and coffee machine was a bonus. Would stay here again.

Wasn't aware that there wasn't air conditioning. The day we arrived it was stifling hot, there are fans but not enough for us who don't like the heat. It was lucky that the weather changed otherwise I would not have been able to stay. Love the place but needs reverse air conditioning because I can imagine that in winter if you don't light the wood fire that it would also be rather cold.

Beautiful apartment in a fantastic location. Great place to get away and relax.

What an amazing location. The apartment was in a fantastic spot with an lovely view of the bush. I was initially disappointed that I couldn't get a water view apartment, but waking up to the sight of the bush and the wildlife was awesome. It was next to another apartment, but was still very private and quiet. We just loved it thank you.

An air conditioner would have been perfect. But we honestly didn't notice not having one because the breeze that flowed through was amazing and kept the apartment really cool.

Passable

Lots of nature and wildlife nearby, Kangaroos, birds and Banksias are beautiful. The jetty is great for sunsets! The view from the unit is quite nice towards the lake.

Location is a very long way from towns and bushwalks. No internet/wifi and terrible phone reception sounds great in theory for relaxation reasons, but when trying to find walks nearby, taking important calls or organising dinner bookings the poor internet and phone became very annoying. Amenities and inclusions were basic to poor. Only bare minimum supplies are in each unit, e.g. 10L drinking water, 3 toilet rolls. Bathroom supplies were very basic. Staff are very hands off and not particularly friendly (but certainly not unfriendly either). We felt like we were a a bit of an inconvenience to them. No advice about nearby walks or trails was given, and the local area seemed mostly private land which we could not access. The staff had a bit of a whinge about the (very necessary) government restrictions (we are in a pandemic!) and the need for monitoring guests' activities. Overall, I think the current rating online of 9.1/10 is a big overestimate. I give our stay about a 5/10.
