50 folks gathered at Iceberg for my mothers 90th birthday. The location of this property was excellent as a place to chill and also prepare food for the party. There was plenty of space for myself and 10 other family members, three of those were under three. The huge deck was great with the little ones. There were some septic issues, be aware of the signs. And the water smells like iron, we brought water to drink. This is a rental- the kitchen and supplies could be organized better. As the dishes are a bit disorganized. Also the huge sculpture in kitchen scared my grandkids- we had to cover with sheet😬

This place was perfect for our Lopez Island visit!

The house was nice, the deck space was great. There was plenty of space, so I wish we could have had more people stay with us, because the cost was a lot for us by the time taxes, cleaning fees, etc. was added.
The noisy water heater made it very difficult to sleep. I had to wear earplugs in order to sleep. Also, I couldn't find any lights for the driveway/walkway, so walking in at night was hazardous.
Other than those issues, the place was nice!

We chose this rental because we had stayed at this property over 20 years ago and had a great experience.
We wanted our family to enjoy their stay here as much as we had. This stay was very disappointing. Nothing has been done to the house since our stay 20 years ago. The beds and the bathrooms were clean, but can't say the same for the rest of the house. Spent sometime cleaning the kitchen. Had to put a cupboard door back on after it fell off and hit my daughter-in-law (she was not hurt) The gas BBQ grill did not work, as the burners were completely burned through and it was obvious it has not been used in several years. The charcoal grill was filthy and would take more time to clean than I was willing to spend so we didn't get to BBQ any of our meals. The property manager was not able to get a replacement grill for us and apologized for the issue. It was sad to return to a rental that had been such a great place to stay, to one that was so wrong. I would not recommend this rental to anyone until everything is thoroughly cleaned and maintained. Property management person was responsive, however I would recommend that he take some time and get this place back in shape so that renters get their monies worth.

Beautiful property and cozy house! We stayed here the night before our wedding and it was the perfect getting ready spot. Awesome view for pictures and great kitchen for our large family dinner.

The house had a great kitchen to make our meals in. All the pots, pans, etc. needed. Rooms were cozy and beds were comfy. Plenty of room for meals and outside seating was plentiful. I would stay here again.

The home is well setup to have extended family with 5 bdrms and 3 bathrooms and spacious great room space with kitchen dining and sitting area. The kitchen is well equipped. Quiet area on Mud Bay with nice view out to tide flats.
Henry was very responsive to any of our issues. The dishwasher was out of order for the week which was disappointing with a large group. He did forewarn us.
If you do use the washer make sure the rust residue is wiped out of the washer from the iron in the well water.

This was perfect for our gang to gather this summer. We ranged from age 16 to 83 and that huge deck with lots of chairs and sun shades made for great and ever shifting conversations. The space allows for socializing and some private space too.
But mainly Henry is the best host ever. A fine communicator. It was a 5 star getaway.

'base camp' for summer adventures
Our second visit to this home - appreciate the tranquility, the view of the bay, the location and privacy. Good choice for an active group enjoying sea-kayaking and hiking on the Island.

so homey
This place was just right - kitchy and homey. The TV situation needs updating but the layout and view are fantastic. And the owner was so great to communicate with.

Nice place
Nice property but water tasted rusty and hot water heater makes noise when turned on hot. To sleep in one of the bedrooms it has to be turned down before bed. Henry is a great host.

Perfect for a larger group, great for kids
We could not have found a more perfect place on Lopez Island. Lots of room for our group of 6 to spread out or be together. Well equipped house with comfortable furniture and a great deck with an awesome view.
Henry the Host was so amenable and always available if needed. We would most certainly rent it again. If you have young children the house is set far enough back from the water with a large lawn that is overseen by a deck so you can easily keep track of them.

Great Stay!
The 5 bedrooms were more than enough room for our large family. The spacious kitchen made cooking a joy. We enjoyed sitting in front of the cozy fire on those chilly nights. The back deck was by far my favorite. It made each day a blessing to be able to sit and enjoy the view of mud bay and mountains while enjoying a cup of coffee at sunrise. We would recommend this rental to anyone with a large family and we would definitely stay again.

Great location, house could use a few updates
What a beautiful property, and great size for our group. Great outdoor space! I think there are a few easy fixes that would make this property even better. The fridge wasn't keeping food as cold as it should, and a replacement of both it and the dishwasher would be good. The hot water heater makes a noise that the property manager explained to us and told us to put it in "vacation mode" at night, but it's probably just time for a new hot water heater! In terms of cleanliness, the lower rating was because I found a rotting cantaloupe behind the garbage can, coffee grounds still in the coffee pot from the last guest, and the side of the house is used as an outdoor furniture graveyard.

Family visit on Lopez Island
This was the perfect house for our group of 8 with room for the kids, their parents, and the grandparents. The house was stocked with plenty of dishes and cooking pots. We had lots of room for everyone to spread out. Kids were delighted to have access to their computer games. We loved Lopez Island and found plenty to keep everyone happy.

Great Setting for a relaxing weekend
Birds singing, wonderful view of Mud Bay and easy access to all the island has to offer. We had a great time, with lots of room to spread out and enjoy a laid back long weekend. Thanks for sharing your place with us Henry!

Holiday oasis
The perfect set up and location for four couples and some leisurely kayaking and cycling. Spacious, clean and fully equipped. The extra large deck made for an excellent start to the day with coffee and an excellent end of the day with happy hour. Couldn't ask for more.

Lovely home ~ roomy and comfortable!
We rented this home to accommodate family members arriving for a special 90th birthday celebration. Our guests enjoyed their time in this lovely home. All commented on how comfortable it was! It has a beautiful view, comfortable beds, and plenty of space. Very nice! Our visitors suggested that it would have been nice to have bottled water for drinking because they didn't care for the water from the tap. But all agreed they would be pleased to stay here again!

Large, Comfortable Home with Amazing View of Mud Bay
What a wonderful home! My family with 2 young children really enjoyed our time here. The home is large and comfortable for a family with kids. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. Everything was as noted in the listing. We had fires in the firepit at night and grilled and ate outside on the deck in the evening. Plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms. Laundry room and dishwasher. I recommend buying drinking water. The view was beautiful with great blue herons and deer visiting. The location is on the southern end of the island, with plenty to explore (watmough bay is gorgeous!) or just relax. We're looking forward to coming back. Thanks so much .

Get away with friends
Great location. Very private - and the deck was huge and comfortable. Three couples had three nights. Beds were good. Water pressure was low. Henry was there to greet us and was there again as we were leaving. I would stay there again.

Beautiful and relaxing!
The view from the front deck is absolutely stunning. So quiet. It was our home base for a get together with our family (3) with good friends from San Diego (family of 6). It was the perfect house for us. Plenty of bedrooms for everyone, and the large open space kitchen, dining room, and living room was perfect for our group. We saw a Bald Eagle, several herons, and deer in our front yard. Close to great destinations like Watmaugh Bight and Iceberg Point. The water heater by the master bedroom was loud - pinging and banging through, but OK if you turn down and then turn up again in the early morning. But overall this is a small criticism for the beautiful home.

Extended Family Getaway
We had a great weekend here! The five bedrooms was a great fit for our needs and there was room for everyone to sit and talk well into the wee hours of the morning. We had a small fire in the fire pit and made s'mores, enjoyed coffee on the deck, watched lots of birds - including bald eagles and cranes. The kitchen had everything we needed. The water temperature wasn't set to hot when we got there - but once my husband fixed that we had plenty of hot showers for the seven of us. We fell in love with Mud Bay all over again!
