I enjoyed the friendliness of the staff, and I loved my bungalow. The one thing I would always remember how everyone made my visit so memorable this was the best birthday weekend. I will be back soon.
There was not nothing to dislike about being in paradise. The location was perfect away from the crowds, the beach was not crowded. If you had to dislike anything about the resort is that I did not stay long enough.

The staff was very nice Aden was awesome. Very helpful and housekeeping was patient and understanding when we wanted to sleep in. The ground keepers were very nice as well. Would recommend to others and would come back. The Gem restaurant was a plus and was very kind and helpful. Food was really good as well.
The Mosquitoes.

The villa was everything and it felt like home away from home.
There were too many mosquitoes it was impossible for us to leave the property at a certain time of the day.

Beach was great
Food was good
Mosquitoes/ they need to spray the property

have stayed in a lot of places, never have I ever rated a place this low or bothered writing a comment this long
we knew the hotel was remote and were initially comfortable with that, what we were not prepared for was:
- the way to lead up to the hotel is very rough, if it rains it's actually horrendous
- the pictures are proper misleading, the hotel is not in that good a shape and the nearby beach well you just can't swim there period.
- prepare for bugs and I mean really prepare, and no not the level of just anywhere in san pedro, it was insane.
- the hygiene was deplorable ( probably contributing to the bug ), the pool had dead bugs and leaves and stuff most times
-cherry on cake, we had the worst interaction with their restaurant staff about bacon in a dish that did not state it, where after long arguing the simply removed the bacon from the plate ( obviously still can't have it cause fat everywhere ) which was proper patronising, and after further arguing redid the dish ( did not look the same so poorly remade ) now to be fair to them they did refund us for the breakfast that day ( which we took ) and offered free breakfast for the rest of our stay ( which we rejected ) and discounts on day trips ( also rejected ). we asked if we can just leave and get a partial refund, they said no at which point we opted to stay but lit only sleep there and spend our time in other places.

The facility was so clean and well-kept. The THREE pools were very clean and comfortable to lay out. The staff from the front office, Rose and Debie, were so helpful and made our trip extra special. The bartenders and great and the drinks were delicious!!
The travel from the airport to the hotel was a bit long but renting a golf cart for the week makes traveling around easy and fun. I would recommend a good bug spray to keep the mosquitos away too!

Always cooked my own breakfast or had a very early tour. Did not eat breakfast at the resort.
Did not pick up seaweed and the smell was worse than sewage. Electricity went out several times and no screens to open doors or windows. VERY HOT. Toilet stopped up. One AC had to be fixed. Water was cut off/stopped running several times. No toilet.

No breakfast was included!
The secludedness of the property

Not enough umbrellas

I really like the staff and I really like the clean beach!
being on the ground floor, there was some bugs that were in my room a lot of ants

The efficiencies were spacious and well equipped. The views are breathtaking and with the surrounding palm trees you get plenty of shade.
The distance and roads to get there!! it is far from everything- which wouldn’t be as bad - if the roads were paved! The restaurant is also small. The beach is not a bathing beach due to the seaweed.

the unit was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. the kitchen was stocked with what you needed to cook. great to have bikes and kayaks available at no cost. the staff were helpful at directing us to great activities. the Caribbean vibe was enjoyable, people friendly. the reefs and diving both snorkeling and scuba are fantastic. though sadly the reefs have been impacted by climate change. full day snorkeling and night dive are worth it and wonderful.
I was working remotely and specifically inquired about the internet and needing to be on video zoom calls. I was assured this was possible. the property WiFi is completely unreliable (and by locals this was a known fact) I feel they misrepresented this. I was able to use a WiFi hot spot but even that didn’t always work.
the sargassum seaweed was very bad when we were there. the smell was notable and you couldn’t swim from the beach or dock. apparently this is somewhat seasonal. and some parts of the island are more impacted. it seems this location was more impacted. also getting to diving and town is best by water. by golf cart it is a 30 min+ ride on bumpy road. food is more expensive vs México and takes more effort to find good food. the food we had from the bar/kitchen on site wasn’t great. try Chat n Chill next door. hope this is helpful for you to make an informed choice. part of choosing this location was the setting, and lower cost being more remote

Gian had us all set for tours and everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Scuba, snorkeling and island adventures. Samuel took a coconut from us and brought it back all cut up and ready to drink the milk and eat the coconut. The restaurant (GEM) was excellent. Everything we tried, breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all excellent. he security staff talked to everyone and had a good command of everything happening on site. Everything was as it was supposed to be. There were no worries. Just enjoy your time.
Around 5:30 pm/dusk. The bugs come out in force. You need jungle strength OFF in order to beat the bugs.
The Sargassm/seaweed was at its peak in the ocean. It makes swimming from the beach impossible.

Whole resort is perfectly kept and it's bueatiful there.
Staff members are very polite and helpful.
You will surely meet some big lizards out there, but don't worry, they are scared of you much more than you could be.
There is great restaurant "Gem" so you don't need to go anywhere else and that's what I suggest you.
There are two things I didn't like:
1. Sand flies - you should be aware of them especially on mornings and evenings. They will literally eat you alive if you don't care.
I wish somebody told us about them 1st day, so staff members, please keep it in mind as many people don't even know about sand flies.
2. The location is not perfect until you want to spend entire time there (which is not a bad idea).
It's about 45 minutes to the city and more than 50% of the road is full of holes, so you can't drive fast.
You can also use taxi or hotel taxi for 50$/San Pedro Town.

The quietness of the place.

We really enjoyed the resort as a whole from the room to the staff. Went the extra mile for us
The sunrises are beautiful and priceless
Getting Stung by a yellow stingray

The staff was outstanding (especially Emma!), the rooms spacious and well kept. The restaurant was very good and we spent a lot of time in the pool and on the beach
it’s very remote - nearly an hour by golf cart along some very rough roads from San Pedro. That made it extra peaceful, but it’s far to travel
4.1
I love to clean the beach was most of the people were very friendly
One of the waiters in the restaurant was not very nice
4.1
Staff we're very kind, and provided excellent service. Kayaks and bikes are available. Very quiet.
Location was very far from town, about a 45 minute slow drive. You'll need to rent a golf cart or hire a cab. Taxi fare is approximately $50 US. Nearest off site restaurant is 2.5 miles down the road.

Beautiful resort, very friendly and accomadating staff. Would recommend!

Nice size unit & on the beach.Nice staff
9 miles N of town on VERY bumpy road.
4.1
Beautiful, peaceful, relaxing very nice the staff was very cortious.
If you want to just get away from the hustle and bustle don't want to deal with the crowds then the location is perfect. BUT if you are coming to the island
For an event in town, The distance from town is quite a travel in the golf carts. (cut down on time) this is what We did. get the fastest golf cart and put pedal to the metal. After traveling back and forth for our weekend it took us about 1hr and 15 minutes from town to Sapphire on day 1. On day 2 and 3 we were down to 30 min from Sapphire to town.
4.1
I loved the three pools and the beach. I also loved the internet access and the full kitchen, as well as room service. The best part was the hospitality of the staff.
In order: the mosquitos!!! The seaweed at the beach, the slippery stairs to the beach, the sofa bed in the living room, and the place needs a safe in each bedroom.
4.1
Very nice resort at the sea. Perfect room, really friendly and helpfull staff. I enjoyed the stay. Good swimmers can try to snorkell at the reef in front of the hotel, there are nice spots both right and left (not straight).
Wifi connection is not very good, be aware. Prices in the restaurant are acceptable for foreigners, but higher compared to places with competition. Sea close to the beach is not good for swimming, be aware (sea grass and sand make the water not nice).
4.1
It was very quiet.
The terrible road to get to the resort, took 45 mins to get there. No where to eat except the resort restaurant.
4.1
beautiful property, nice accommodation with everything needed in the unit except a bedroom tv. The staff was exceptional and so was the food in the restaurant. The beach was well kept with the seaweed raked. We realize now after 5 AC vacations we will buy further south. They did provide us bug spray to prepare us for combat
The property was very far from town, about an hour golf cart drive. there were a lot of flys and mosquitoes to the point the pools unusable and sitting outside was not enjoyable. The units closer to the sea had less bugs. The unit we had was way in the back with no sea view.

cant think of anything

It was a beautiful setting, great restaurant loved our rooms!
Only thing that could use improvement was water pressure in the shower and it was worth dealing with
4.1
The accommodations were wonderful. We enjoyed the options of going to the beach or staying at the pool. The bar and restaurant were outstanding and the staff were simply amazing (Tony, Jessica, Shelly, Ethan, William). We went on a snorkeling trip through No Worries Tours with Edward and Alphonse, and were treated to a safe and memorable experience! We were here for our 25th anniversary and highly recommend.
There is nothing negative I can say about the property. The only negatives are related to getting around on the island, which are unrelated to this beautiful resort.
4.1
Breakfast included in the price is embarassing point of this nice and not unexpensive resort. Restaurant doesn´t belong to the property. It´s suprisingly run by third party and for the clients who have the breakfast included in the price offers just limited choice argueing that the resort payes them less money than clients who buy the breakfast themselfs directly at the restaurant. Nobody tell you that in advance. So be prepared for that.
